They can dress them up in suits all they want, but they still have civilian blood, and the blood of our security forces on their hands. Aside from that, I would never trust them to be in charge of our country's economy.

FG are not offering anything different (leo V's disgraceful appearance on VB last night continues to confirm this) 3. Labour don't know whether they are left or right wing party but all signs are pointing to the right (their Kerry North candidate is so far removed from the reality of working class life it's ridiculous), plus they will go into coalition with FG 4. SF are offering us some bit of hope. They live on the average industrial wage so understand real life. They do straight talking. They have the support of many other key opinion leaders outside of their own party. They have empathy with people who quite frankly are on the edge in this country. Everyone here can spout on about the economic illiteracy of this party but quite frankly some of us have just bloodly well had enough of FF, FG etc continuously kicking us while we are down and whose policies are forever centred around protecting the business class and wealthy. I agree with SF's stance on not forcing ordinary people to shoulder the burden of bailing out banks etc. If some people here feel that they don't want to vote for SF because of the past then that's their democratic right but don't forget that other parties have a similar history and I for one am trying to look forwards rather than backwards at this point.

Selling 'RA shirts on their site doesn't really convince me that they have done so. They should be able to stand over everything they sell on their site - I wonder would they be happy to canvass the streets of Irish towns wearing the IRA T-shirts that they sell? I just saw their party political broadcast on RTÉ there, the more I hear from them the less well I think they will do in this election. To be honest, I've no real problem with them working in local councils, and there's certainly a few of them do good work for local community. However, government is an entirely different thing, and I personally wouldn't want them to hold any sway in the new government of this country.

You can judge them by reading their manifesto. You can also get a fair idea of their level of economic ability by listening to them talk on economic matters. SFs manifesto would send us back to the 1930s and their leader, Adams, constantly fails to impress when questioned on economic matters.
