Racing Post Money Printing Thread - Mod note post 1572

Wondering if many follow him blindly at weekends?

i know over the last month he has been phenominal ..+56% or something..
he tips 2 today..bella mana mou at punchestown, 4-1 and lord of the reins at 8-1 in 5.45 in goodwood.

Does it say which one of PWE Team tips Legislate? The only one I rate highly is Tom Segal.

Timeform wasnt far away........ 11/4 winner and 18/1 third.

Tom Segal does the paper tips on a Saturday and a Sunday.
Unless it is a special event - no other day in the RP.

Yeah thats what I thought, but with yesterday being a bank holiday I thought they had made him get out of bed. I got a few good winners from Timeform today. 12/1 in the last at Ripon got a decent write up from them. You should check it out on ATR.

TBF the going had changed because of heavy rain/Showers. Legislate and Knights Victory are better than that, they just had no experience of any ground like GS (officially changed from G to GS after second race).

Knights definitly didnt run its race and was never in it. The going for the first race was identical to the 3rd race according to the times, so it was probably good to soft all along and they just described it wrong. Distant Memories always liked it soft, the softer the better and thats probably why the money came for it. He had won on heavy.

I only checked after but neglected to check DM's form...good spot

Yeah, it would and a simple check on the times in the first 2 races would have shown something was wrong. The first race over 10 furlongs was 5.7 secs slow and the 6 furlong race was 4.31 secs slow.......... bummer, but a lesson learnt.

august sucked, it was month lots walked away from PW-E tips,,few guys that were posting here quit do to lack of winners, yet racing post show it was great month, wow.,, yea i think each bet is 1 pointer when showing statistics, i'm just shocked it was that good a month,guess those high price winners are worth waiting for:rolleyes:

hmmmmmm just thinking about those figures. I think PWE gave Poet at 14/1 and Jaawaab at 5/1 in the last 4 days and that would account for 19 points profit alone and if we assume that the profit is worked out to the advised price ,that you can never get, then the month would have had an awful lot of losing days and wouldnt achieve anywhere near 50% return on investment if SP was used.

Some early prices you get, some you don't - Jawaab was flagged here at 5/1 initally (by the time I tidied up the post it had shortened half a point 9/2) while Poet had gone to 10/1 in a flash.

Do you think then that the figures are indeed impressive? If they had 62 bets, it looks like the winners were few and far between. Assuming a lot of followers I reckon its almost impossible to get the advised price when 2 or 3 thousand people could be looking for it.

well lads il hav the pwe up as soon as it comes through usually bang on 12 o clock but the prices have usually shortened already or seem to go in before the horses are backed just so the bookies can cover themselves.. my desktop crashed so im workin off an old laptop now and the internet resets the connection when i load pages sometimes usually when i try to post it up here at 12, very annoying.

Hopefully we'l see a 2 or 3 pointer today, those figures were impressive but i followed for the month bar a few days off during that losing streak and got nothing like that

Thanks Yaaaboy, its always interesting to see their tips. I wonder is there any way of getting a breakdown on the results......ie How many winners ...... Longest losing streak etc. Were all the tips for August posted on here, if they were I could go through them.

You could argue that Peter Grimes takes a class drop after solid placed efforts in competitive Newmarket and Newbury handicaps on his last two starts. His latest effort is working out well with the first and fourth winning next time out, writes Mel Collier.

Those runs suggest that 1m2f is his optimum trip, and his lifetime figures of 1433 do not contradict that opinion.

Trainer Harry Dunlop is in good form – he had a double here at Kempton on August 24th – and although Peter Grimes is not proven on Polytrack, punters are getting a big premium in the price to take that into account. His sire Alhaarth has the same strike rate on turf as all weather.

ya il have a look through the web sites other access areas later and see what they have up, i only have the access for another few days.. that tip today was out about 3 or 4 mins past at 14/1 and i got it at 8 or 9 past at 9/1 with paddy power..the odds well and truly slashed as usual

No mention from Timeform....... but the stable is in great form and it looks like a small bet to me.

Absinthe is the least exposed in this line-up, and given the excellent form of the Swinburn stable he's selected just ahead of Assail and Foxtrot Charlie. The former has his stamina to prove but shapes as if he will stay, while the latter is fancied to bounce back after failing to give his running when tried over shorter last time.

The guy I normally follow has had 4 losing days, but made over 200pts in July and August so I did 3 of his 2 from Timeform and one other ........ invested £13 quid and the return is about £400k ............. might take a few days off if that comes up. Reminds me of a story about a relative of mine who won £1.1 million on the lottery. We were down the pub speculating about how we would spend £1.1 million if we had it......... the best answer came from a Guy who said........ a hundred grand yankee.

I know I will get told off for this but I want everyone to win £400k ish today...... It would be a nice headline in the paper tomorrow 5 Internet punters take bookies for ££2 million .............. lol

Sorry Mike I wont do it again.......... unless they all win of course. Its a pity we wont be getting the PWE selections when Yaaboys subscription runs out. It would have been interesting to keep a record and a running profit or loss on them.
I did get 4 from 6 in a similar bet last Tuesday 12/1 9/1 9/4 and 3/1. It ran £1152.60 for 40p trebles and quad....... so its not without hope.

first 1 wins where are the tips from ? why dont you start a blog off if its 200pts up?

The main reason I wouldnt start a blog is I wouldnt want to be responsible for people losing money. The tips come from Daqman Irelands Eye and I read through TimeForm every night and mark up the ones they are positive about. Besides one swallow doesnt make a bj........ as they say. If I get 2 more winners today I will be happy enough, any thing else will be a big bonus at those prices. I usually lay out 30 to 60 points a day and dont bet below 9/4. I may have a Lucky 15 later if my next 2 dont win.

Unlucky, the Daily Star had it as 7furlongs. But the Post had it 60furlongs 209
