Hoping a New Thread may fix the posting issues.
Oh dear God, you are one of them🤦♂️.
I swear to god, some people have memories of goldfishes
Yeah I know he has been good in the past.
I'm thinking about going on the outside and beating his man by keeping him guessing as he can go both ways.
I wish he would do that more for Liverpool, hopefully next season
Ah no, he has been good for Liverpool in the past but he has been a shell of himself lately so its great to see him playing well
The past?
As in the season before last?
Gakpo is fantastic when he has acres to run into like when the Dutch are 2-0 up against Sweden and Sweden are leaving space for him as they are chasing the game.
Against a low block, like we face most weeks, he is far less effective.
And this is why we should never consider selling Gakpo, he had a poor season but he's shown in the past and will show again what a good player he is
I though Isak had a good game for Sweden hopefully he has a nice break after the World Cup and returns for pre season ready to go n
Gakpo now worth €150 million!!!💶💶💶
Yeah pretty much
Yes the past. The same as 30 seconds ago. It's gone and never coming back.
Someone tell me why we are looking for Diomande ? He has an awful first touch this match.
I just don't see what the fuss is about. I watched Ivory Coast Vs France and he didn't really impress there either.
Minteh looks just as good for half the price maybe?
Brighton will be looking for £70-80m for Minteah with the way fees are in England.
If it's €120m for Diamonde then that's an extra £20m or so over Minteah.
I'm not sure on Diamonde. Could be the next Pepe but he clearly does have bags of talent but it's a risk.
Very few good right wingers available or coming through at clubs.
That was very good from Diomande just there. He does seem electric 1v1 to be fair.
Reminds me of Frimpong too much. Speed with little substance
He’s 19 and played less than 50 senior games of football what do you expect a 100 goal and assist a season from him?
He doesn't look like a €130m player anyway! The market is insane
100m is silly money for a 19 year old prospect
Maybe a World Cup game or two isn't a large enough sample size for definitive judgements.
That first half was a perfect microscope of what our Liverpool side looks like against the modern game. Germany trying to be over technical, all central with little width, final product is the ball gets passed to death. Ivory Coast, aggressive, compact, physical and full of pace when on the ball.....
when do we start worrying about Wirtz?
he has been easily Germanys best player this evening so I'm not that concerned.
Wirtz has 70 goal contributions for Leverkusen over his last two seasons.
Whilst we all.hope for more based on last season - you're hardly going to be making judgement calls on his Liverpool career based on a few WC games.
For many of us, this is our first or second look at him. It's normal that we would have some comments on his performance.
Give the hype around him and the price we are willing to pay, you'd expect a little more. Of course, that's not to say he wouldn't be a massive success for Liverpool.
He was pretty anonymous second half.
The amount of touches Wirtz gets for Germany compared to us is mad. He literally takes the ball up in every position. Does a role like that exists for him with us?
Still pulling the strings in injury time.
Iraola needs to get the most from him, he's such a talented footballer.
Just a thought on the right wing position - I'd personally love to have a look at Ekitike marauding down the wing and feeding Isak- or is that nuts?😳
Wirtz really is a baller. Get him on the ball as much as possible and let him do what he can do.
Wirtz was really good second half. Picking up such good positions, always moving the ball. Everything goes through him for them.
