I'm aware of the LC grades case, which they won, not sure who represented them:
And Issac did win a payout against NUIG back in 2021, where AFAIK he represented himself.
Every time they had a valid legal case to take , they behave like (relatively) normal people and follow the legal process - They went through the courts regarding calculated grades for the Leaving Cert and again around a PhD award for one of them.
But when they KNOW they don't have a legal case they go the route of the public screaming and shouting etc.
They know exactly what they are doing.
EB has consistently disrespected the court and he shouldn't be allowed out from prison because it's summer. He should stay where he is until he purges his contempt. He is so ignorant I suspect it will be a long time and while he's in there the judge should order a psychiatric assesment.
stubbornness is not a mental illness, i suspect if such an evaluation were to be done a report would say something along the lines of, "EB is highly intelligent, however displays a lack of empathy to marginalized groups such as lgbt folks, strong religious convictions and mentally competent" or similar.
EB and his family are just aholes, trying to force their beliefs on everyone else.
I don't believe for one minute that the Burke stance comes from strong religious convictions. Rather, I get the sense that there is an underlying intolerance that religious convictions are being misused as a crutch for.
Strong religious convictions and severe intolerance go hand-in-hand.

Judge Brian Cregan on Thursday made an order that he be produced from Castlerea Prison before the High Court next Monday so that he can make an ex parte (one side only represented) application seeking to restrain the Teaching Council inquiry from sitting next Wednesday.

In his application on Thursday to the court, Isaac Burke said his brother would also be seeking leave to bring a challenge against the recent DAP dismissal decision.
He would also be seeking to bring an appeal to the Supreme Court over a recent Court of Appeal decision refusing to extend time for him to appeal a 2023 High Court decision that his suspension was lawful and imposing a permanent injunction restraining him from trespassing on the school.

Can applications like these be dismissed in law on the grounds that one party has proven that they cannot act in good faith?
I'd love a judge to tell him that anything he applies for going forwarded will not be entertained, as he has proved in the past that everytime the verdict did not go his way he didn't accept it and evrytime costs were awarded against him he refused to pay.
Why didn't he just agree in the first place and when he was talking about the pronoun person say something like that thing over there. Win win situation.
Blocking them from what really should be allowed for every citizen would just play into the Burke's & their fanclub's conspiracy riddled minds
An application for an ex-parte hearing made in a way that the other party has knowledge days in advance of it and will therefor able to have its legal people waiting OUTSIDE the court for whatever the judge's ruling is. Is that the usual way an application is handled in our jurisdiction or is it a cute hoor way for the Burkes side to extend EB's battle with WHS and the judiciary's decisions in his case?
I'm reminded of a guy called Denis Riordan. So they can at some point tell Enoch to sling it. Riordan was notorious for this kind of thing.
The Supreme Court has banned Limerick lecturer Denis Riordan from taking cases at will to the High Court and the Supreme Court.
The court ruled that Mr Riordan must seek written permission from the court registrar before initiating any cases in the future.
Mr Riordan was recently jailed for a week for contempt of court.
Enoch has actually 'won', to a minor extent, a few things along the way. As in not lost them hideously. Meaning that an Isaac Wunder order - the method of banning someone from taking cases without written permission they will never get - will likely not be possible for some time if ever.

Not sure why the Teaching Council would bring this upon themselves. They drag their feet at the best of times, and it's not as if any school is actually going to offer EB a position, so the question of his ongoing registration is essentially moot.
Probably have to show that there are limits to how you're supposed to behave and what can get them kicked off the register even outside of what should be the fairly obvious ones regarding illegality and abject behaviour.
It's also likely in a few years, some other teacher will have an objection to how they're being asked to address a trans student or similar, so probably better for the Teaching Council to do this now and try send the message to members to say "Don't be a Burke, and just engage through the proper channels and try to come to an amicable resolution instead."
They don't have a choice. At any given time there are a number of case before them, ignoring one is not going to work because it will be used as a defence by the others…..

IIt already is in Australia 'a bit of a burke 'is a long standing way to describe someone. Sort of the same as describing someone as a plonker.
Basically because if there's a procedure to be followed, the worst thing you can do is not follow that procedure, even if the other party is clearly not doing so themselves, or otherwise acting in bad faith. If you don't follow it then you're only leaving yourself open to future challenges and push backs. Not what you want. So do everything by the book yourself, let Burke be the one to go all Loony Tunes, and while it may be a slow and frustrating grind, you'll get there.
Yeah, maybe it was my childhood of watching Home & Away and Neighbours, but think they regularly use 'berk'.
Just googled, and seemingly it originates from old Cockney Rhyming slang of "Berkeley Hunt" meaning c*nt, but 'berk' these days mostly just means an idiot.
Still though, it's what I've regularly associated his name with anyway.
Also an English thing. Berk, as in Berkshire Hunt. Apparently.

Sad little man. He looks more pathetic with each one of these threats. Really it's starting to feel like "Piss off Enoch" is the only valid response.
Its quite pathetic alright. I guess obstruction and trying to manipulate the law is all he knows. What's that football mantra? Something about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Considering he bullied his previous place of employment with legal harassment cases and made it public too, he really should be struck off. That and is comprehension is appalling. For someone who claims to be a teacher and may even have a subject to teach children comprehension, I can't see how that will work.
Definition of madness, not specifically football. To repeat the same thing over and over again and hope for different results defines madness. It also defines much of biology research which hopes you get one result a statistically significant number of times more often than other results, also certain disciplines of Physics which do not know which result you will get until you are looking at what you want to know, and often is unclear on if the thing is even there until you look.
