Hoping a New Thread may fix the posting issues.
I think the only thing linking him has been 2+2 stuff with Richard Hughes Bournemouth connections. I've yet to see any actual sources pointing that way.
If we just sit back and look at the available evidence my view is as follows:-
Not yet.
Hypothetically, if Iraola is coming in, it would probably mean that Richard Hughes is staying.
This guy seems to be the source of a lot of Twitter noise today
Big news that if it's not bullshit!🐂
Iraola into 5/4 with PP now.
Yes, there are arguments both ways. We signed Kerkez and Isak from the Prem last summer and the jury's still out. On the other hand we got Ekitike and Wirtz with 50/50 success. Usually the Premier League players are vastly over-priced.
I'd love to see us bring in some bargain players like we often did under Klopp and even before. We got Coutinho for about 8m iirc. Matip was a free transfer. I think breaking our model last summer was a huge mistake. I would have been much happier to see us spend fees like we did on Ekitike if that's the market value. What we did previously with Firmino, Mane, Salah etc. We paid a substantial fee but not crazily beyond the market value. Last summer we blew that plan out the window and it seems to have backfired so far. I do have hope that Isak and Wirtz will get better though (ideally under another manager).
He's still 17/20 for Palace though 🤣
Maybe he's going to do both jobs? 😁
5/2 for palace on B365 and 8/11 for us now.
Still 17/20 on PP for Palace - unusual to see such a difference. He is gone 4/6 with PP for us just for consistency but its a slightly different market with PP compared to b365 as PP don't include Slot whereas B365 do.
Gone in to 4/6 with PP now!
The Palace link is a bit mad quite a good chance he has Bournemouth in the Champions League Sunday evening
Yeah makes absolutely no sense - why would an up and coming manager leave for a worse team than the one he is currently with.
Over employment is all the rage now days. Just don't let either job find out.
James Pearce of the Athletic has poured cold water on this rumour unfortunately.
Maybe Salah would like the job? He seems to think he is qualified.
If you are referring to the tweet where he says that Liverpools position remains unchanged regards Slot then that doesn't really mean anything.
If there is going to be change then obviously it won't happen until after Sunday so at the moment nothing changes. That tweet imo is meaningless
On that basis, why would he come to us😅
He specifically says despite a day of internet rumours, so I think it’s pretty clear that he believes the club will go into next season with Slot, as of now at least.
He also said this two weeks before Rodgers was sacked
He couldn't be any worse than Slot. Worked out well for out last king as player/manager. At least he understands the Liverpool way and the aim of heavy metal football.
The vitriol at Salah is astounding to me. It's clear as day that anyone who has the best interest of the club at heart would want Slot gone, and unfortunately because the board has their head in the sand that means that a player who actually cares will have to do this. Twice now he's tried to force their hand and just has old pundits and fans who can't see the bigger picture throwing pelters at him. He was dead right in December and he's dead right now. I wish more players joined him.
I cannot understand the logic in replacing Slot with a less experienced, less successful manager.
He was saying FSG were still backing Rodgers a few weeks before he was sacked. I not sure how connected he is in reality.
Or more importantly, how willing he is to go against the message the club wants out in the world at any given time. Anyone who is actually 'connected' will be towing the line for now, or might find that connection drying up.
I suspect he's connected when the club wants to him to be.. I.e.,he's just a mouthpiece for the club
Frank Rijkaard was replaced by Pep Guardiola?
As some have said above, there’s no way anything will happen before Sunday, but next week could be interesting…..
Slot will go down in club history as a Premier League winning manager, but I wouldn’t be sorry to see him relieved of his duties.
If he goes and is replaced by someone else, so be it.
If he stays, I'll be hoping he can prove everyone wrong and right the ship.
100% - aside from everything else, he is a complete klutz with his comments on players. Also, I always thought that when things were going well, he went into way too much detail on our tactical preparation and strategy in media interviews
