Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
I see very few blaming Iran for this.
US considering sending more troops to the region in case Iran has the temerity to resist Nero's conditions to end the conflict.
The same old playbook, diplomacy theatrics, military build up, negotiations collapse meaning military action is now totally justified. Then in the coming months, when things start to break in economies around the world he can just blame Iran for causing it, and many will.

Bought and paid for by the Americans. They're entire existence depends on US and British aid. And thats fading quickly. Its going to be an election issue at the midterms. Israel as a state is about to fail. Brought entirely on themselves. The only downside is a bunch of psychopaths are about to be dispersed around the world.
What fish did you get...
I don't do hypothetical interrogations either. Soz.
Well, no they will simply hide and refuse to address it but appear later to argue semantics with their usual pedantry until the actual story is buried pages back.
Israel shut down Al Jazeera from reporting in Israel and Gaza. And now Met Police Special Constable David Soffer thinks he can stop Al Jazeera journos from doing their job in UK.
Al Jazeera left the scene, possibly to de-escalate…

The outlet reported that the footage showed a group of men surrounding the Al Jazeera film crew, shouting “go home”.“It said Soffer approached one of the Al Jazeera journalists, who is Palestinian, calling him a “dog” and a “donkey” in Arabic. “Go back to Qatar,” he was heard to say. “Get out of here, you donkey.” [Qatari government partially funds Al Jazeera]

STARRY: ^^^ The Met doesn’t have much to investigate, as abusive David Soffer and the mob are captured on video.
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9d45ejxz5qo “A female reporter told Soffer "shame on you" after she believed he suggested that she was an antisemite. He told her he could define his own racism.“Soffer then told them no Jewish person was going to hurt the team but no one was going to talk to them.

STARRY: ^^^ Soffer saying no Jewish person was going to hurt the team might have sounded like a veiled threat when he’s standing at the helm of the mob... Off-duty volunteer police officer Soffer approaching a Palestinian journalist and calling him a dog and a donkey is dehumanising and discriminatory language. It’s not exemplary conduct by Soffer and the MET should have zero tolerance.
Further, Soffer was trying to stifle the freedom of the press when he called the Al Jazeera female reporter an anti semitic.
Finally, his continual use of racist language makes him unfit for the role of Met Police Special Constable. E.G., Soffer supported far right Islamphobic Tommy Robinson’s stance in 2024: ~
Below is supporing evidence of Soffer's continual hatred of Palestinians: ~ https://www.declassifieduk.org/revealed-man-filmed-in-al-jazeera-intimidation-mob-is-met-police-officer/
“In 2024, the far-right activist Tommy Robinson posted an image on Twitter saying “**** Palestine”, adding: “The shithole is full of inbred Islamist parasites and terrorists.”“Soffer responded, saying that Robinson “is telling the truth” and that Israel will “justly finish” the war in Gaza.

Will be interesting to see how far these two get in the next 12 hours.
Doesnt the concept of a dome mean coverage? Havent you seen the rockets launched at Israel even prior to this war? The houthis for example, they were at war with Saudi Arabia but decided to launch ballistic missiles into Israel, why?
@threeball “No Israeli troops heading over to Iran”, how exactly do you expect them to get there? They obviously arent neighbouring countries.
But you have to admit that their intelligence about a lot of things within Iran is top notch, but what amuses me is the Apple TV show Tehran now on season 3, has always shown Mossad following internal Iranian traffic cameras and cctv, didnt any Iranians watch it?
IDF under grave pressure
Israel's opposition leader, Yair Lapid, has accused the government of sending the army into a war without a strategy and with too few soldiers.
In a video statement delivered in Hebrew, Lapid says: "The IDF is stretched to the limit and beyond. The government is leaving the army wounded out on the battlefield."
Lapid says the government is sending the army into a "multi-theat war without a strategy, without the necessary means, and with far too few soldiers". He adds that reservists are "worn out and exhausted and can no longer meet our security challenges".
He calls on the government to draft men from the ultra-Orthodox Haredi community - those who devote themselves full-time to the study of sacred Jewish texts and who since the creation of Israel in 1948 are often exempt from mandatory military service in Israel.
His statement follows military chief Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir warning the security cabinet yesterday that "the IDF is on the verge of collapse", according to Israeli media reports.

@banie01 most of the X posts that i have seen lately immediately have a question @grok, “is this true”, i suggest you read comments before posting things like this as it was immediately shown as “false”.
@wildgreen excellent, so having a massive supply of long range ballistic missiles was just for show, and the uranium was just there for storage. You do realise just as we can say that the USA and Israel are wrong, you can also say that Iran and their proxies are wrong.
I cant wait to see the mental gymnastics done by the resident zio-bots here to either rubbish this away or claim the baby had a gun or a suicide vest or maybe launched a drone at hotel!
Israel burning babies with cigarettes

WSJ also reporting that Iran didn’t ask Trump to push back strikes on power plants etc for another 10 days.
This gives an indication of just how disastrously the war is going for the Israelis - inflicting relatively minor damage on Iran and their own credibility and standing in the world gets shredded to pieces.
Surely Hegseth has to be an easy target to be the first American brought before the Hague. You have the boats off Venezuela, the school in Iran, energy infrastructure and water and now civilians.
Who ever the next admin is won't protect him. It would set a good precedent.
I'm sure the neighbourhood was full of IRGC and missile launchers hiding amongst the civilians
If you read the FT article you posted, it says the components are being made for Israel's air defence systems not for Europe's?
Now tell me why Israel needs an Iron Dome? Is it because they want to attack their neighbours after they have put a defence in place to prevent them being vulnerable? Is that what you call self-defence or maybe even an existential threat?
The IDF are a paper tiger, only good for sniping kids and raping prisoners. Faced with any sort of resistance and they fold. They stay nice and safe at home. No Israeli troops heading over to Iran. A nation of cowards, hiding behind big brother and using his weapons to bully the weak.
Gulf Cooperation Council.
What's the GCC ?
Didn't shift the oil price this time.
Might be another example of perfidy demonstrated by israel and the usa, standard operating practice for decades it seems.
The geneva conventions only apply to some it seems.
Apparently Trump has decided to pause the attacks on the island because the talks are going very well. Accordly to some recent article. The talks in his head.
I read that earlier and like another Israeli article someone posted earlier, I suspect it's wishful thinking. It would take the Americans till next autumn to assemble the ground force necessary for a full invasion. Both wars on Iraq were preceded by months of buildup. Trump has barely begin the process. And there's the midterms.
Here's another Times of Israel article that may be a little more on the nose:-
Iran's regime was teetering. This war could be keeping it from collapse | The Times of Israel
Changing the situation, Goldstone estimated, would only be possible if the military defected, but neither air cover for the opposition nor strategic targeting of the regime is enough to do the job. Outside force usually hardens resistance instead of breaking it, and without military defections, unarmed protesters cannot overthrow the regime, according to Goldstone’s assessment.
A more likely way for war to break a regime would be a ground campaign severe enough to cause military collapse, yet the idea appears implausible for now. Kurdish forces or exiles appear unlikely to achieve internal organization. For the US, such an invasion appears politically impossible, as it raises fears of prolonged occupation and insurgency similar to those in Iraq or Afghanistan.“People [in the US] would rather live with what’s left of the Islamic Republic than put half a million troops on the ground in Iran,” said Vatanka, adding that more broadly, “it’s unlikely that Western populations would support a long, expensive, and difficult occupation.”
Will Israel send any of their troops into Iran to liberate it I wonder, or leave the honour all to their US allies?
israelis seem to think trump is on for ground invasion - he may have no choice at this rate
Appreciate the link to the dawn report 👍 And lapsed catholic that I am...
