Doesn't sound like much more than soundbites to placate President Tango to me. He's still frothing at the mouth at their inaction. I've no doubt that those nations will do something to protect their own interests, but that shouldn't be conflated with dancing to TACO's tune.
It must be Ukr as the sky looks very Ukranian. Is there a possibility that Ukr rented out the plane to the UKranians?
Ukr

That necessitates getting actively involved, not sending indignant letters.
Are there any photos of the A-50 actually hit?
Sweden gave Ukraine 2 of them, I believe.
30 May 2024 The Swedish government clarified that as part of the largest package of Military Assistance from Sweden, Ukraine will receive two aircraft long-range radar detection and control ASC 890. this was announced by the press secretary of the Swedish Prime Minister Tom Samuelson
Yeah, like I said.

That's one of them. I believe another was downed with one of Ukraine's stunning innovations where they vastly increased the range of an interceptor by strapping it to a S-300 interceptor and likely used US surveillance intelligence cooperation prior Kraznov.
October 16, 2025: Last year Russia lost the last of its A-50 AWACS/Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft. It took nearly a year before anyone could confirm that Russia had lost its last AWACS aircraft over Ukraine. Since then Russia tried to get the new A-100 AWACS into service but, as of this year only two prototypes exist and neither of them is capable of operating as an AWAS because of missing components and lack of testing a completed aircraft. In Ukraine Russia used its A-50U aircraft to track Ukrainian aircraft in flight and the location of Ukrainian ground radars while also finding targets in Ukraine for Russian missile attacks. Russia suspects that the Ukrainians used their S-300 and Patriot Anti-aircraft missile systems to stage a trap to ambush the A-50U destroyed in early 2024. The Russians noted how this S-300/Patriot trap worked and avoided it during the February incident that saw the second A-50U shot down. The Ukrainians outsmarted the Russians twice and to avoid another such incident Russia has withdrawn T-50Us from anywhere near Ukrainian airspace. Russia cannot afford to lose anymore A-50Us. If Russia lost another A-50U they would no longer be able to maintain round-the-clock surveillance of Ukrainian airspace.

Kind of a damning indication of Modern Russian abilities when they can’t successfully replace a Soviet platform developed in the 70’s.
This feeds into my theory that when the Russians lose a jet fighter or bomber, it’s just gone. There will be no replacement. They simply can’t do it anymore.
Sorry if this has already been posted about on here, but I came across this story .
There is a really interesting (and terrifying) story going around about a Russian blogger who has just been placed in a psychiatric hospital right after he spoke his mind and openly criticized Putin’s war in Ukraine. Looking at the article, the guy actually used to be pro-Kremlin, but he recently posted that the war was a "dead end" and called out Putin. Next thing you know, he disappears and ends up locked in a psych ward.
This whole situation really goes to show just how incredibly important freedom of speech is as a fundamental principle. Absolutely no one should ever be sent to a psychiatric hospital or thrown in a prison cell just for speaking their mind or criticizing their government. Treating political dissent like a mental illness basically amounts to punishing "thought crime." .
But what really gets me is the reaction. Or rather, the lack of it.
Since he was locked away, I have been keeping an eye out, and I have noted that the usual self-proclaimed "anti-war" people, the known activists, and those former TDs who love to proudly proclaim themselves as anti-war champions have been dead silent. None of them have spoken out. Not a single tweet or statement in solidarity with a man who is literally losing his freedom for speaking out against an actual, ongoing war.
It just reinforces what I've been observing. If it doesn't fit a very specific narrative, they just look the other way.

Well.......the plane fell out a window?
It’s an old Soviet tactic where good chunk of population was declared “mentally unfit” (when it wasn’t easier to just shoot em) and sent off to Siberia to die
They doing same to women now taking a page out of Handmaidens Tale dystopia
Not worth the paper it's written on.
Like Trumps board of peace.
This seems to be the KA-52
Was that the pilots burning in the ditch afterwards? Fcuking hell.
These elections are part of the hybrid war. Russia can’t be allowed to have any more easy wins.
Sort of. First drone downs it, second drone exterminated the crew then the third drone filmed the results, the smoking corpse, and made sure of the other crew member that didn't look dead enough.
Another one down
I think so…
Excellent result, hopefully it was a painful demise and he could smell his own burning flesh before he died for Putin.
Skilled pilots are harder to replace than the frontline meat…
And the final drone into the face just in case the guy was playing dead…
"a bag of onions for their widows"
Looks like the Russians are almost cleared out
Onions? Not in season yet, they be lucky to get a bag of beetroots for their {husband / brother / son} who are now pushing sunflowers out of the mud for their little dear leaders colonial special military operation
They claim to still be making current gen fighter jets and multiple new airframes have been delivered since 2022. Older stuff that has been out of poduction for some time, they clearly cant replace.
According to The Guardian, Hungarian counterterrorism officers administered a “forced injection” to a Ukrainian citizen who was detained on March 5, 2026, along with six other Oschadbank employees. Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry claimed that a detainee requiring a special diet and regular medication only received medical care after he lost consciousness. According to them, the patient was later forcibly administered medication, after which his blood sugar level suddenly rose and his blood pressure became high, necessitating his transfer to a hospital.
Sounds like they nearly killed one of them who was diabetic.

Incredible video of a Russian solider, complete resignation to being a slave to Putinism and no attempt to surrender or defend oneself against a drone.
a little over a year later
The largest NATO contingent to visit Ukraine.
This is because Ukraine drone teams creamed their opponents in recent exercises, and what's been happening in the gulf with Putrids 5hit stirring has just emphasised how far ahead Ukraine's skill set is is. The US has been made to look grossly out of touch - 4 billion+ THAAD radars taken out with precision weapons costing $70k is a massive fail.
All this underscores why Ukraine just announced that they were ceasing all foreign training and doing it on Ukrainian territory because the foreign instructors do not have the skill sets to match the realities of the current conflict.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is stopping the training of military personnel abroad, including due to the lack of experience among Western instructors. The Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Doctrines and Training of the General Staff, Yevhen Myezhyevkin, reported this. According to him, a number of foreign programs were abandoned because the partners «do not understand the processes».
I think this is a very significant development.
After years of mocking ukraine and europe and the wider world outside of Russia. Margarita Simonyan the news chief of Russian television has seemingly sipped the Russian tea. Her husband is dead, one of her children is dying and now she herself has cancer.
18 oil tanks is a lot. Nice hit.
I hope she and her Orcling get treated by the disgruntled Orc medical personnel who are seeing their incomes plummet.
What happened there? Is it just a case of really bad karma or did she fall foul of Putin and he's responsible for some of the malaise?
