These rumours seem to be absolutely rubbish with all Kurdish groups indicating that they are involved in no such operation and no sign of any conflict taking place. Bizarrely US officials appear to be briefing that there is a Kurdish insurrection taking place, but those briefings seem to be based on rumours that are circulating on social media.
This is such a farce. No popular uprising and no ethnic uprising.
Keep in mind the US recently stabbed the Kurdish militants in Syria in the back. I'd be shocked if they were willing to do their dirty work in Iran so soon after that betrayal.

Check the history books btw, you'll find they tend to contain everything from the My Lai Massacre to Abu Ghraib. War crimes committed by the US over the decades don't tend to get forgotten.

If it's an angle being pushed by the US as tacit approval then it's probably as likely as Israel's promotion of another Shah. The Kurds didn't suffer in Iran like they did in Iraq under Saddam. Iranian Kurds fought alongside Iranian Jews against Iraq in the 80s.
I think what the poster you're replying to means is that the US (along with Israel) don't want to be bound by the rule of law with regards to warfare. "Stupid rules of engagement" as Pete Hegseth put it a couple of days ago.
They want to be free to commit war crimes without international bodies passing judgement on them.
In the case of the senior partner in this war, Israel, they've shown over the past couple of years that they're more than happy to flout the rules of engagement, because they've leveled every single civilian building, every hospital, every aid station, every school in Gaza. They even bombed refugee stations where people trying to escape their bombs gathered for safety and deliberated starved the population.

War crimes ARE war crimes. Those committing them may not be brought to justice if they are western but they are still war criminals and will be recorded in history as war criminals.
