Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
Why do you constantly refer to Hamas as the de-facto government, do you know what that term actually means?
Israel supported a two state solution for decades up until 2022.
Yes, there were conditions, yes there were caveats, yes there were internal objectors, but the support was there.
In fact, if you look back over the decades of the conflict since WW2, support from Israel for a two-state solution was in place far longer than support from the Palestinians.
It's not opinion, it's basic maths.
You can make your point without hyperbole.
The Iranian regime have organised themselves a bit like the Borg- decapitating one leader doesn’t have the same impact that it might in other countries. Hard to know what “done” looks like here. How many senior leaders and potential supreme leaders are needed to be killed before the regime starts to disassemble?
Millions of Iranians have an interest in keeping a tyrannical leadership structure in place - the leader just killed-Ali Khamenei amassed a business empire worth an estimated $95billion by systematically seizing thousands of properties belonging to ordinary Iranians.
It’s natural to assume that all the way down the leadership structures and the families associated with the ruling classes have done similar - they won’t want to lose this golden goose. The other question is, at what point will Trump say “enough is enough”? Is that when Iran concedes to whatever demands trump makes? If it means they can install their own chosen leader and keep their gravy train going, they may well agree to his demands
The Likud party in 1977 did not represent the official Israeli government view.

Clinton sets it out clearly. The Palestinians rejected the two-state solution. Your constant lies can't change history.
At least 800 civilians killed in Iran so far. Not a word of condemnation from the EU
Whatever would we do if some roided-up tossers with rented Lamborghinis are unable to upload new ads for their get-rich-quick courses?
Israeli anti-Zionist (therefore a self hating antisemitic Jew) Haim Bresheeth-Zabner believes Israel will use the Samson option when they start running out of conventional weapons.
Lies? That's a bit strong. I only quoted the Likud Charter, which is very clear. No two-state solution.
Israel even resorted to political assassination to make sure there would be no two-state solution.
Tucker Carlson? Honestly, lads, anyone who takes anything he says seriously is a fool. He is a conspiracy theorist who gives platforms to holocaust deniers, Putin and Neo-Nazi's. He is peddling the same ol stuff and people are buying because it makes them feel good. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/oct/31/conservative-reaction-tucker-carlson-nick-fuentes-interview
That is not what is actually being reported. There are indications that Suadi is ready to join offensive operations this week. The Gulf states don't take kindly to being attacked for no reason, so they are looking to solve this problem once and for all.
Notice who refused and abstained form condemnation before
if MEPs can’t condemn deaths of 36000 and deliberately wounding and blinding and imprisonment of thousands more, what’s a few hundred in comparison
Edit; typos
Stop the press, Iran has an ally after all. Mighty Burkina Faso ready to join the fight…
You really do get excited by war. This isn't a movie. People die and suffer and get displaced. It's not something to enjoy. Although when you were busy admiring the IDF capability and efficiency in Gaza, it was really a one way "war" (genocide).
What’s with the constant gloating? Every second post from you is link dropping about how Iran is supposedly collapsing and how ‘we’re winning’. Your posts sound more like cheerleading than discussion. Are you trying to inform people or just convince everyone that defeat is always around the corner for what you consider your opposition? Although we probably should not be surprised…
France, a member state of the EU flying defensive sorties in the UAE to protect its bases. If most of the liberal Western Democratic order is on one side, and you have an Islamic Fascist Right-Wing Dictatorship on the other, this is not a question of "They are all the same"
apparently iran have enough enriched uranium for 11 nuclear bombs - israel were going to act so US went first
They weren't shouting about the 30,000 before this, what do you expect now? It's all empty words anyway
Apparently...
Apparently their nuclear capability was obliterated 9 months ago.
I'll tell you all about apparently…When Israel murdered the Palestinian ambulance workers and buried their bodies and ambulances in the sand, they said the ambulances were moving suspiciously without headlights or emergency signals. Then video evidence emerged.
There's no nuances with some people, they see this as purely Good guys vs Bad guys.
Most right minded people can see that there are no good guys involved here at all.
That's the polarised world we live in now. It suits the simple minded which is why Trump got elected.
Well said. This conflict is not just Trump going off on a mad one or Bibi This is a conflict sown from broader, deeper changes that started when Russia attacked Ukraine in 2014 and the West did nothing.
There is or was a perception that the West was in decline and other powers like Russia, China and Iran were ready to step into the vacuum and pursue their own aims. The fact that we appear to have the emergence of a European Nuclear strategy that includes Poland and Germany speaks volumes about how things have changed. We are in a new age and Ireland is still asleep at the wheel.
Being the only actual leader ever of the 3 main states involved in the war this thread pertains to, did she display/achieve all the results that you asserted a female leader would achieve?
We've had plenty of female leaders around the world to judge this. Margaret Thatcher would be a prominent one. Indira Gandhi led the most populous democracy in the world. Did they display the characteristics you asserted would result from female leadership? Did they ensure there'd be no conflicts?
You know it would actually be fine to admit that, while the theory sounds good, the practice would seem to indicate the theory has not done so well at all in real life.
I am curoius on this type of thinking but would you say the same about Russia vs Ukraine? What about Oman in this conflict, a neutral state, which was mediating the negotiations, and who have no US bases on its territory? The British and Cyprus got attacked, what did they do? The French got attacked, an EU member state, our closest EU geographical neighbour, what did they do to deserve it?
There are lots more examples. This level of 'both sides' is just moral cowardice to try not to ask the harder questions, that maybe, just maybe, the world and the Middle East would be better off without the Iranian regime. But that would then mean that Trump and Bibi might be right about something, so given they are moral enemy No.1 for many, they can't have that, so one defaults back to the "Both Side-ism"
There was a geopolitical expert type on the BBC . He said the actions by the USA and Israel will end up forcing Europe to import more gas from Russia. Putting the Russians in a strong position. He was horrified at the thought.
I'm not getting into a back and forth with you Marko when you refuse to engage with people in a decent manner and are just looking for wins.
Binary opinions only please within the thread...
Failure to do so will result in Sealioning and multiple interrogations on off topic elements
That’s a very cynical and {forgive me} edgeLordy take on things
To quote a poster higher up
“There's no nuances with some people, they see this as purely Good guys vs Bad guys.
Good guys vs Bad guys
Most right minded people can see that there are no good guys involved here at all.”
good guys
On newstalk they were just discussing the 30,000 Irish stuck in the Gulf many of whom are not able to get information about their flights or possible alternatives because various systems are down probably due to this attack on datacenter, this is another example of Iranian regime attacking civilian infrastructure, these couple of datacenters just like the hotels and apartments and civilian airports Iran has hit are hundreds of km from any military installation
he has made a good points about the attack by Iranian regime on not only its own protestors but now on neutral states coupled with deliberate targeting of civilian housing and infrastructure across a dozen countries {beside being a war crime} is unforgivable, I noticed the constant avoidance and downplaying and deflection from discussion of this critical turn in the war, which i suspect will be viewed in history as the a major strategic mistake by Iran
France is a good example, they distanced themselves, condemned both sides, tried to act as mediator, and still got attacked
Edit; typos, damn phone
Are you reffering to the lone gunman who assassinated Rabin as "Israel", or are you reffering to something else?
That ship has sailed. Europe is not going to get stuck in the same position where its going to rely on Russian Oil or Gas. They got burnt once before. What Europe needs is an independent energy sector, not beholden to anyone else, as much as possible.
