How and where are you washing your electric car?

All the EVs i have ever owned have all bren through various types of car washes, automatic and by hand ones.

No damage done.

The same way you'd wash any other car

If you do....put it in a bag of rice overnight.

Not particularly fussy about washing the car, but would never use a roller automatic wash.

I do coat car twice or three times yearly with Collinite 845 Insulator wax, car easier to wash and water beads nicely. Only got one minor stone chip after 4 years, whether the wax helps or not I am not sure, but paint looks great.

Traded car in yesterday, so will be a little more fussy with new car for a while.🙂

Take out the batteries and then its just like any car, the water will not damage it!

Check your guarantee and car washes. Wash mine at home

Much like any other car, hand wash with micro fibre mitt, though if you have flush door handles and boot button (like see EV's do), I make sure not to power hose anywhere near them.

I'd say your car is absolutely disgusting. Do you really think €5 is too costly?

As regards how,I use a long handeled brush from Halfords and regarding where, usually in the driveway, but never in direct sunlight, and chamois off after suds are hosed away.

I'm with kippy and BrianD3. Gotta save money, even if it means skipping car washes or showers.

They go faster when clean.😏

Everyone to their own but I much prefer driving a clean car. Could not entertain the idea of driving around in a dirtbox.

Try not washing your car for a few months, the outside really doesn't look that much more of a "dirtbox" than other cars on the road.

But fair enough, if people have the time and money and risk appetitey to wash their cars regularily that's fine too.
