Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
Quite a few military and security analysts are warning that a US attack on Iran could go totally pear shaped, especially if the current Iranian government remain in power - the so called swift strike could easily turn into a prolonged conflict with the Americans and Israelis sustaining lossses themselves.
Right so the US should give up their nukes, given they are the only ones to ever actually deploy them.
America and Israel have painted themselves into a corner with their braindead tough talk.
Iran is not playing ball this time, any strike on their soil will result in a massive attack on Israel. Their fixed missile sites will be under orders to fire at the first sign of an attack.
US bases will also be getting a pounding and the aircraft-carriers will become sitting ducks too. Iran has a lot of new toys to try out. Strait of Hormuz will be closed, Oil producing capabilities in Saudi Arabia and other ME countries will become targets, we will see a massive oil shortage and it probably kicks off a global recession.
If the war drags on you will see China and Russia among others being dragged into it turning it into a larger regional conflict.
All this because psycho 1 and psycho 2 aren't capable of winding their necks in.
No country will ever again willingly give up nuclear weapons after seeing Russia with help from Iranian regime invaded the only country that did give up its nuclear weapons
if anything the number of countries pursuing them is gonna mushroom {pun intended}, there is talk of Poland, Germany and even Sweden pursuing them
We probably won’t even ever again get treaties like START either to reduce stocks as some countries like China are rapidly building up thousands of nukes and don’t want to reduce stockpiles
For everyone to denuclearise there needs to be an international body to police adherence, if anything we are going into a world where UN becomes ever more toothless and likes of Trump are busy setting up their little corrupt board of Piss scams
Trump regime demanding denuclearisation is a distraction
Fantasying about a world without nuclear weapons is a nice dream, and also a distraction
Also, the Iranian regime survived a two week attack by the US and Israel last summer and then the street protests this year. No evidence that a military attack by the orange one and Netanyahu will do anything to topple the government.
Thanks Apiarist:)
Since you like dealing in facts here is a pertinent one:America's own director of national intelligence stated in March 2025 she saw no evidence that Iran had decided to build a nuke. I will take her word over the leader of Israel who is wanted for war crimes. A man who has claimed since 1996 Iran is months away from building a nuke. Another fact for you is Israel has a couple of hundreds nukes and are backed up by a superpower, even in the event Iran did an acquire a nuke it would be inviting its own demise if it ever used one. Despite the propaganda of the Mad Mulllahs, it's readily apparent the political leadership in Iran have a keen sense of self preservation.
The Cuba missile crisis never happened?
Yes Iran has already put countries on notice: anyone facilitating the US/Israeli attack on them becomes a legitimate target.
Where will the US launch a ground invasion from (if they even have the troop numbers for one) their old pal Saudi Arabia has basically told them no way. Even their lackey the UK is pulling back and denying them access to RAF bases. Iraq as a staging post? Can you imagine what sort of welcome US troops would get there?
Well if the government survive the initial strikes and it does turn into a protracted campaign it may well belie the propaganda about the regime having no domestic support. As we saw with the second Iraq war not all Iraqis were welcoming of the American invasion either.
This idea that you force regime change by bombing a country from the air seems passé and very outdated (by a couple of decades at least). The fact that Trump is even thinking in this direction suggests he is clueless.
Not the best idea to invade Iran from the ground really. Imagine getting tanks and that over them mountains, that's if they got off the beaches. Look at little Qatar sat all alone on a ****load of gas.
Nothing makes people band together and forget their differences like bombs falling on their country.
some of the F-22's are in Israel
Buildup Against Iran Continues: F-22s to Israel, F-35s, F-15Es to Europe
He is, and he has surrounded himself with clueless neo-con advisors like Hegseth and Keane who don't have a breeze about modern warfare.
South Africa is the only country that designed and built its own nuclear weapons and then voluntarily gave them up.
Apparently the US embassy has just told all non-essential Americans to leave Israel if they wish.
This is horrible. As someone who watched closely the invasion of Iraq and the horrific aftermath for everyone involved, do see the US attacking Iran now in what will be a totally unprovoked event it is depressing.
But they're going to liberate them right?
Sure. American Style™
Freedom and Democracy, Western Values for all!
Miniature American flags for others…
The US demands would mean that Iran would remain militarily stronger than Ireland.
I take it you now believe that we should up our military strength if no country could possibly agree to the US demands.
Take that American Flag. Shut up. And don't you fcuking dare of trying to move to a western country for safety because of this.
The people of Iran need saving from the regime.
Are you now implying Ukraine is not a country?
It's incredible to think that a former minister for justice in Ireland, Alan Shatter, denies there is a genocide occurring in Gaza.
Sure and so did the people of Iraq.
Who cares if 1M of them died or were displaced in the process.
If the US allowed the UN to operate as it should, the killing that has happened, and is about to, would not need to. But Donald needs a distraction, and the good old US war machine needs to be fed, so who cares if a few Iranians more suffer as a consequence.
30,000 Iranians have died at the hands of their regime in the last few weeks. Do you think the US should stand idly by?
Absolute irrelevant whataboutery.
If you believe those numbers from MSM and western media there's no point in even trying to talk to you about it . I've read enough from actual people reporting from Iran on telegram to know the numbers are exaggerated by our oh so truthful western media . Iran isn't perfect nowhere is but those numbers are an absolute shambles of a lie to go in for oil . Any excuse ay , weapons of mass destruction for Iraq , weapons and mass killings for Iran . It's always about Israel and oil , has been for way too long now .
Tulsi Gabbard is the most unreliable source of any information. You may just as well ask Pam Bondi. Also Trump said that he destroyed Iran's nuclear program last year. How did he do that if there was no nuclear program? The whole US administration is a pack of liars. Anyway, that is irrelevant. Do you believe the UN?
Regardless of how far Iran is from creating a nuke, Israel wants to destroy Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities now, while it has Trump's attention. Nobody enriches Uranium to 30-60%, unless they want to build a weapon. Eventually, Iran will be able to make the bomb if it is not stopped. You may think that's great for Iran to have the bomb, it's your choice. But please don't tell me that Iran is enriching Uranium for peaceful purposes, if that was the case, they wouldn't stop international inspectors from confirming that. Here is the 2025's UN report: Atomic watchdog says Iran not complying with nuclear safeguards | UN News
Of course not. I’m stating that Ukraine was never a nuclear power in the way that South Africa was.
