I wonder how this will work out for him

I expect Burke to live his natural life. If that is in prison, it is his own decision.
Doesn't stop you being inherently dishonest. Which is against the rules of the religion Enoch claims to follow, but never actually lives up to the rules of, as it happens.
What do you think of the 6 years this week for murder versus life for this.
Another falsehood by you, that's all. False equivalence and also false representation
False representation as it was six years for manslaughter, not murder. Those are different offences, but you don't really care about accuracy, do you?
False equivalence as someone serving six years cannot walk out of prison at a moments notice by deciding to obey the law. Burke's sentence is at longest the length of time it takes to tell the prison staff that he's going to obey a simple court order.
All you do is lie and evade.
You are the only one who lied - saying you didn't say he should die.
It is not my problem that you can't read.
Now, are you ever going to answer why you keep misrepresenting why he is in prison? Or just respond with more blather and attempts to divert away from your defence.
Can see by your posting style L1011 - why you think it is ok to die in prison for a workplace dispute and 6 years is ok for manslaughter.
Mod Edit: Warned for trolling
Perhaps it may be because how long Enoch spends in prison is entirely up to himself. He has the free choice to leave whenever he wants. If he wants to leave he can, if he wants to stay in prison he can. If he wants to exercise his freedom of choice to spend the rest of his days in prison he has freedom of choice and the right to do so.
People are asking if you understand how this can happen and what contempt is.
Do you understand?
If you don't, no one can discuss this with you as you are discussing irrationally.
If you want a debate on what should happen to people who disobey minor laws of the land on purpose continually, state it.
I'd imagine they are attempting (and failing) to present this as a political imprisonment, which occurs in some countries without a (real) crime being committed (the country might try taxes or similar).
Is English not your first language or something? You seem to be completely unable to understand what has been very clearly explained to you numerous times over the last few pages.
Enoch is free to leave prison at any time he decides himself, no one else is prison has this choice. There is no need to change any laws or make any new ones. Enoch is free to leave at any time he wants himself, it’s that simple.
He was told by Judge Cregan previously that the courts are not asking him to use they/them pronouns, the courts are not telling him he is not allowed to protest against the school for being requested to use pronouns, all the courts are requesting him to do is stay away from the school grounds. If he does that he is free to leave prison and can protest against they/them pronouns and follow the correct procedures to challenge the school against their request and try to either get his job back or look for compensation for what has happened to him if he believes the request was unfair. The ball is completely in his own court and he wouldn’t even have been down a days wages for it all as he is still being paid.
He has created this whole ludicrous situation himself and he is the only one with the ability to end it but for some unknown reason he doesn’t want to end it.
Mod: @FixdePitchmark don't post in this thread again
are you suggesting that their kids should have been taken off them, or something? There's a very high threshold for that and rightly so (perhaps too high - as when kids eventually go into care they're often very damaged from the abuse they've experienced, and then Tusla gets the blame when they grow up into deeply troubled teenagers)
The ultra religious types are very much against any State intervention in the family at all, no matter what. Remember when the horrifically abusive Kilkenny parents were supported in court by an ultra-catholic group in an attempt to prevent their kids being taken into care.
The Burkes for all their faults are just not in that ballpark at all.
Hmm… when you are that far from understanding what is going on, there is not much hope, put for others reading it…. It has noting to do with a workplace dispute and everyting to do with defenting your rights and the rights of everyone else resident in the state. This man has exhausted all his legal remedies and has decided to thumb his nose at everyone, the state, their rights, the rule of law and the constitution enabed by the people. It's an on going crime and the only place for such a person is in prision until such time as he purges his contempt and if that is a life time sentence, so be it. Nobody get to pick and choose the laws they will abide by and those they will ignore and this is a very clear message that we will not accept anyone ignoring the rights of others.
A line inserted lawfully by the High Court to keep EB away from interfering with the education of the school's pupils. No such "EB die in prison" has been suggested. It's more that EB complies with the High Court order and stays away from the school, such a simple thing for him to do but won't on some quasi-biblical interpretation of our law.
Lots of people use prison as a break from society and deliberately get caught to get back inside.
Not saying this is EB's motivation, but what he's doing isn't all that uncommon.
If Burke was being even slightly reasonable, he'd never have spent a single day in prison.
Prisoner of conscience? Get up the yard with that guff.
6 years for murder is a lie. The mandatory sentence for murder in Ireland is life.
Even if released on parole, a lifer is still under sentence and can be returned to prison at any time if they commit another crime or otherwise violate their parole conditions. It never goes away. The average lifer in Ireland serves over 20 years in prison.

It was manslaughter, they lied to try beef up their worthless claim.
Sorry but Burke's or anyone else's "religious leanings" do not give them excuse to be a cnut. And that's all that he has been. A vulnerable teenager is not an excuse for a display of performative religious intolerance. It's no skin off any rational person's nose to address someone else using the name they wish to be known by. A huge proportion of the Irish population are known to everyone by a name other than that on their birth cert. As for losing it over a pronoun - insanity.
He is never going to be reinstated and has shown that he is not a fit person to be a teacher.
Your comments display a complete lack of empathy - something Burke is also known for. He does not deserve your or anyone else's respect or pity. He's just being a cnut.
Are the American Christian Right playing some sort of role in this case?
There is no evidence to hand at the moment that they play any role.
Well, they are certainly talking about it.
That's as may be.
So are we.
But he's not been locked up for life. He's been locked up and being told that they key is available to him 24/7/365. He can literally let him self out anytime he likes.
No point replying, that troll gone.
Mod.- warned for breach of forum charter
Cant see any news, but has eggnog been picked up and deposited back into mountjoy yet ?
Maybe it is time to close this thread and forget the Burkes .
This bunch of missfits are high on the round the clock coverage they are getting.
No news or online coverage of there insanity might put a stop to it.
Its the national and local media outlets that need to end the coverage. As soon as that happens there will be less interest on social media.
Surely funds are flooding in to Burke from various Christian groups in usa
We can stop talking about it on Boards, but unfortunately the mainstream media will always report on it. Its news.
Plus they need content.
