That's brutal, one of things I always get is "bonus protection" but unsure how useful it will actually be. A friend of friend owns an Insurance Brokerage and drives a Y himself and couldn't get me below €800 and couldn't tell me why as he said himself from his firms own data "Teslas have fewer accidents and thefts due to the built in tech".
I’m sure the insurance industry have the ratings here. But of course, don’t share them!
I have the Bluetooth one about a year and it's absolutely flawless and a much easier install, also allows me to permanently turn off that annoying speed limit alert thingy
I just prefer the OEM look and if the car comes with a hardwired indicator stalk, the bluetooth stick-on version would look out of place. I use the COMMANDER module to turn off that annoying speed limit alert thingy among other really useful functions I didn't know I missed until I test drove the MYJP.
Most likely high repair costs & long wait times for parts
Looks like euro m3 standard will not have any accoustic glass. So different spec to USA.
Our specs are never the same as US across the range
If you don't know the convenience of the gear shift stalk, you won't miss it.
I use auto shift and barely have to touch the screen ever.
I think a lot of people are not aware of the auto shift option or don’t leave it on enough to learn.
It's a fantastic feature alright. For me, it works 90% of the time
Me too. Very handy feature. But often enough, it's not in the gear I want, so the gear stalk comes into its own and is faster.
So would reversing out of a garden and driving up the road be fairly seamless then?
Yep.👍
depends. When I'm parked, the car is reversed in at an angle, so when parked, the house is behind and the front wall is in front of car. When I get back into the car, it could go for either D or R. Sometimes small corrections doing a turnabout the car wants you to spin the wheel more than you need in order to auto shift the gear. That's where I find the stalk works best.
Just move your house -simple!.😁
So, I was thinking of selling my 2023 MY RWD, and changing to a new M3 Std…
Can someone tell me please, is this a new stripped out version, similar to the MY std.., or has this even been launched over here yet??
I reckon I could get near enough 30 K for my MY and then only need about 3 grand to change… Am I mad changing to this or should I be considering the LR version at €41558..
€30K is probably a bit optimistic for a 2023 given Graham Walker is asking same for this ? Maybe €27K-€28K if it’s got very low mileage or some extra kit on it.
What are you going to trade in against the car to get the trade in bonus?
I thought it applied if I sold my car and paid cash for the new one, no??
It's just under 30k kms and blue, if that makes any difference
No you have to trade in your car to Tesla.
Maybe I misunderstood the conditions so...
" Offer may be combined with Cash orders only. Offer may not be combined with Tesla Lending or Leasing orders. The offer appears on the vehicle order agreement as ‘Trade-in Bonus’."
You have to trade a car in and pay in cash. You can't avail of Tesla finance.
As others said, you have to trade the Model Y in to Tesla against the new car, to get that trade-in booster. Tesla will offer you about €23k for your Model-Y so that is the sting in the tail there!
So if Tesla offer him 23k for the Model Y, it’s roughly €11k to move up three years? That sounds okay. Or sell private for €28k with all the hassle around timings and dealing with potential buyers, and add on €8k? Both options sound reasonable.
Could be €23k plus the €3.5k booster?
I think this 3.5k deal is a bit of a swizz.
They offered me trade in in October of 31k for my M3 now they are offering me 27,100 euros, so it went down nearly 4k in 3 months, I accept a new year but still, mileage only went up by 500 Kms. So the 3.5k meant nothing really.
My mate has gone for it, 22k for his M3 AWD and buying the RWD LR in silver which is nice in fairness, will see what I think of the car in comparison before I consider it again. And will see what his insurance is like :)
it’s 11k to move up 3 years….but also move “down” from Model Y to model 3.
Thanks for your replies, guys.
What about stripped out spec, like the MY std, or is that still "coming soon" ?
