So this is what the Europeans and the NATO leader really think about Trump's regime, though they kiss his ass in public:
The path to peace isn’t unclear. He chooses for it to be unclear.
I really don’t understand. I thought the war would be over in 24 hours if Trump was president. #feelingletdown

Richard Boyd Barrett is a zealot. He sees his own inner tyrant in Putin, that's why he won't condemn him. I'd say he has a photo album of nazi memorabilia beside his bed at home.
Sounds like a done deal. 22 troublesome aircraft might not sound great, but Ukraine's existing helicopters are responsible for downing a lot of Shaheds, often downing multiple per flight, so if 15 Tigers can be kept in the air that's possibly at least another 60 shaheds downed per attack. From Aug '24 to Aug '25, Ukrainian helicopters downed 3,200 Shaheds and other drones.
What's being attrited is the Orc economic capacity to wage war. They don't have 26 months in them, let alone the ±260 years it would take them at the current rate of territorial gain.

I think he also used to tell him he was resigning (be shot as soon as he did i know) it used to put the **** up stalin
….
Unfortunately these may be Ukrainians from the occupation areas who are being force conscripted
Ukraine is in a desperate position financially, the Economist ran a piece on this recently too. This is not Russian propaganda, it's a fact. The frozen assets are desperately needed and should be given to Ukraine, but even they won't cover what it actually needs. Yes Russia is in a bad position financially too, but Ukraine's position is worse and anyone denying it is living in fantasy land
It was mentioned a few days ago, about the frozen Russian assets being held at Euroclear in Belgium.
This is why Belgium isn't ready to use all those assets to help Ukraine:

I think it is true that figures from the Ukrainian side published just show what they think casualties in putin's terrorist forces have been without breaking them down into the number confirmed to be killed, but you seem to imply casualty numbers somehow mean three quarters of these victims of putin's disregard for life are just fine to keep on fighting and carrying on with their efforts to murder Ukrainians. Survivors in the casualty figures are likely to be seriously injured and not much help to putin's terrorist forces and repeatedly we have seen disregard for injured amongst putin's forces so that many of these injured do not receive treatment needed to help them recover.
I do not know where the Trump mouthpiece gets his figures from but the casualty figures from Ukraine often are over a thousand in a 24hour period and we do not know if putin's terrorists are loosing additional numbers to brutal disciplinary action within their own ranks or failures to adequately supply isolated units on the front lines. Rubio could be right in what he said about the numbers being killed and also maybe the losses already incurred in putin's forces mean a break in the lines no longer carries as great a risk of a significant breakthrough as militarily putin's terrorists lack the equipment and trained forces to exploit a breakthrough:
There’s something deeply sinister about Rubio’s performance there, all sweet and reasonable, wishing only to save lives and help Ukraine back on the path to prosperity. It’s like a person posing as a helpful friend who is really in league with the blackmailers.
7000 Russian soldiers aren't being killed a week.
It's 7000 casualties which might be a 1/4 killed.
Russians have no intention of peace.
They've calculated they'll win by attrition in a few years.
The frontline and border is 1000s of kms so they'll break through eventually.
Then it'll get really bloody.
not a new low just a Russian norm
Simple, firstly he's an idiot then etc.
we know that Putin does not look at maps on the Internet. What is Rubio's excuse?
Two to tango, ''worked out with Ukraine, very satisfied '' I guess Putin is getting seen as the b u ll s h iter agian. All talk, no action.
Little remark about Ukraine '' Ukraine , I THINK we have something pretty much worked out with them, very satisfied considering ''
Rubio hinting, very little left of Donbas to fight over. Ukraine can prosper, draw a line. Also make it final, no more war in Ukraine
I believe they have a term for his ilk in Russia. Useful idiots.
Europe spends billions upon billions on foreign aid to 3rd world through various programs and spends billions supporting refugees in Europe. If push comes to shove they'll redirect revenue to keep supporting Ukraine.
As for your post on that ill fated group of Ukrainians. Do you think it goes much better for a fresh batch of Russian recruits? It's a brutal war, what do you expect.
They died so Putin doesn’t have to…
Mind boggling numbers of casualties being inflicted by Ukrainian drones
(Before any russian bots comment….Even assuming the above numbers are out by 50% due to ukranian propaganda, they would be still mind boggling casualties).
Is this news to anyone else?
I thought the whole song and dance about the EU finally looking at potentially using these Russian assets was our way of getting some some kind of leverage in any upcoming negotiations.
But then half-way through the article it just casually mentions that Kyiv is expected to "run out of cash" by April? Eh?
https://www.rte.ie/news/ukraine/2025/1203/1547116-russian-assets/
Surely in prior years Ukraine has managed to get past these kind of deficits with some kind of other refinancing arrangements? Ukrainian state was never exactly flush with cash even before its troubles began, so i struggle to understand the urgency that is now being attached to this
He should have been asked if he supported Trump, and whether Trump would deserve the Nobel peace prize if his attempt to bring the wrong to an end were successful, and if he would them welcome Trump to Dublin and host him at the Dail
Richard Boyd Barrett on drive time.
I listened to this too. It was painful. He just couldn't give a straight answer on whether Ukraine has a right to exist or resist.
Two points completely destroy his NATO argument: First, as Donald Tusk pointed out recently—NATO was set up to stop Soviet aggression. Without it post-1945, the map of Europe would probably look very different (and much worse) today.
Second, he keeps bashing NATO/, but ignores that Russia has actively recruitied soldier's from North Korea, Nepal, and Cuba. If Putin is bringing in foreign soldiers to attack a sovereign nation, surely it’s fair game for the EU to help Ukraine fight back? RBB’s silence on that is deafening.
Even when you think the Russians can't sink to a new low
https://www.reuters.com/investigations/band-brothers-how-war-crushed-cohort-young-ukrainians-2025-12-01/
The article for others to read while you continue to lament russias anger as Ukraine continues to drive out corruption. I don't imagine russia will be getting much if anything back given what they illegally seized in russia.
(and the facile attempts at slandering ex-comedian Zelensky while having your nose firmly attached to an authoritarian dictators rear).
