When 9/11 happened NATO, Europe and the world got behind America.
Absolutely shocking the damage Trump has done to America and their allies.

In fairness,Connelly has'nt a friendly face.
Connolly as President is just there for ceremonial greetings.
The real discussions will be between Zelensky and the Taoiseach.
That's why Connolly's political views are generally irrelevant.
so he leaves today with 125€million of our money.looking forward to the day when we haven’t a pot to piss in and the world will be as generous back to us😁
A reminder of Putin's rise to power murdering journalists all before him and still ongoing with those dying in prison.
Yuri Shchekochikhin investigated the 1999 apartment building bombings in Moscow and Volgodonsk, as well as corruption within Putin's inner circle.
Anything to distract from him answering legitimate questions of how he has funded his jaunts.
A request sent early last week for comment from the President in relation to the 2018 trip and the involvement of Hayes in the 2017 trip met with no response.Likewise, requests for comment to Wallace and Clare Daly met with no response.

Same reason the Fenians sought support around the world including the USA, Australia etc. It's a struggle against imperialism.
Tory Establishment figures like Charles Moore also criticial of Trumps handling of the talks, though says it's not because of "Trumps venality" but because Trump is "a peacenik". I'm not sure the people of Gaza would think Trump is a peacenik.
Atlanticism is deeply entrenched in British politics. Corbyn might have shifted from that if he was PM, but probably would have seen more eye to eye with Trump on Russia but maybe not the business deals aspect of it.
Jesus some people really haven’t a clue.
If he left Ireland with a lovely order for flamingos I’d drive him myself to Kiev
Probably a bit like Ireland when we shat ourselves back in 09 huh?
How much have the government given away over the last few weeks? Between this 125 million and a 100 or so odd million a couple of weeks ago in Brazil and I am sure there was another few million when Martin was in Africa. It's ridiculous when we have kids waiting on scoliosis surgery, massive waiting lists for treatment, cost of living through the roof and near 17,000 homeless and here we are pissing money away to so Martin and Harris can play Billy big balls. It is disgusting the absolute waste of money that FFG are doing.
Let NATO fight its own proxy wars. And if they want support, let them pay us for it. The US, UK and France all have deals for support. Why is this not a loan? Why is the Irish tax payer always on the hook for everyone else’s problems?
Why are hotels in Ireland closed to house Ukrainians when hotels across Ukraine have been open for business for the past 3 years. Just look on booking.com reviews. 10/10. A week in Lviv for €500 in a 9.0 rated hotel.
Be cheaper for us to rent Ukrainian hotels and keep our towns alive!
It’s all just a transfer of wealth from the tax payer to private companies under the guise of humanitarian aid. Wise up.
Only have to look in the past, we've been one of the biggest receivers of handouts from the EU. We used to be one of the poorest countries in Western Europe.
I don't think 125 million to Ukraine is a waste, but you're entitled to that view.
As one of the biggest beneficiaries of EU funding, I have no issues supporting a European country that is being invaded by an enemy that threatens all of us.
Zelenskys speech can be viewed Live in Oireachtas channel, which is 514 on Sky Q.
For a shameless supporter of Russia to make that complaint about any country, let alone Russia’s victim, takes the biscuit.
Corruption or not, you don't improve it by handing your sovereignty over to the extremely corrupt Vladimir Putin. De Valera was being sued for 50 years over money he raised on his tour of the USA if that issue had come out during the war of independence, the British would have used it as propaganda, just like Russia is doing with the corruption scandal in Ukraine. You can be sure that arrests of people trusted by Putin would not happen in Russia.
And this US administration is very corrupt in my opinion. They have no rights to point fingers, with all the insider trading, seif dealing going on, relatives getting business deals, using the WH grounds to promote their businesses and those of their corporate friends, using the WH grounds as a car dealership, knocking down the East Wing to build a ballroom, funding it with corporate donations etc.
He's coming here for support.
If we were being invaded, we would be doing the same. Since day 1 the man has been moving heaven and earth to get more support, more arms, anything they can do to hold off the Russians. If they don't hold them off they lose everything, their country, their language, their identity, everything.
It's a no-brainer. Some of the comments in here today are mental.
Strange how so many come out of the woodwork today…
we’re losing our identity , language and culture too
Almost as if they're being told to do so, with the same talking points.
Losing it? Or giving it away? For a mess of pottage, probably.
And there it is folks.
Based on what?
my original point was that there has been Ukrainian government officials sacked for stealing money donated
Currently there is a 100m dollar money laundering investigation going on with Ukraine
I’d just like to see where all the billions in aid is going to - Ukraine was corrupt and is corrupt
I've stayed in a Lviv hotel since the war started.
Before going I downloaded an air raid alert warning app to phone. A few things to note
*There was no alert during my week or so there.
*The most frequently asked question when booking a hotel in Lviv "do you have a bomb shelter"
*There was one the night before I arrived and one the night after I left
*There is a nationwide midnight to 5am curfew
*I got a taxi driver to bring me to drone/missle sites within city
*Lviv when I was there was comparable with Belfast during the troubles here.
*There is nothing in living memory for an Irish person to compare with Ukraine's eastern front. Other than maybe war time NGOs there no hotel demand for tourists in Karkiv.
*Huge areas of eastern Ukraine are destroyed.
*If I wasn't a father I'd go back to Lviv in the morning, knowing it isn't without risk. Nothing would entice me to stay in Kiev or anywhere north, east or south of it.
*Lviv is just a poor man's Krakow
*No doubt there's an odd Ukrainian chancery here, but there's obviously millions of people who have lost their home.
*Sometimes in.life you have to pick a side. There no doubt in this conflict where that side is
don’t want to derail this thread but you know full well
The Kremlin reframes Putin's invasion of choice as some sort of "proxy war" against Russia, an aggressor no one wants to invade, to shift the blame away from Putin - and amazingly there are apologists online who actually repeat this stuff.
Bonus, in a surprise to absolutely no one - there's the immigration stuff
So nothing.
Your original comment was an attempt to derail the thread.
if Ireland is neutral , why are they giving money to one country and not the other?
