That was well underpriced at 325k to be honest. Hugely sought after location, good condition
I was keeping eye on house no. 17. Its in lindenville blackrock. But asking was 950k and went for 1.225m. Small north facing garden. Big house but semi D with small garden and poor aspect for 1.2m. seems mad
Mental for a 1 bed - but I guess the view is nice :) - https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/semi-detached-house-3-father-mcsweeney-terrace-ardbrack-kinsale-co-cork/6141511
Site value, look at the neighbours! But still mental.
Elmbury new phase, for 400k now you don't even get a semi d. 100sqm townhouse 400k now!

I mean, they are not wrong. We desperately need housing, but the people those house bring need infrastructure. Politicians are only interesting in housing numbers at the moment, but we are largely neglecting the fact that these communities will need schools, creches, shops, public transport etc.
Yes. The often seems to be an attitude that because we have a housing crisis, planning requirements should go out the window. We'd have a long time to regret this.
..
A 1 bed, apartment in Kinsale with no view of the water for €575k.
Does that sound like value to you!? :)

The government have no interest in making houses more affordable. Value is long gone!
All a function of how bad rental market is. When you look at how high rents are its how people can easily justify the big mortgage payments.
Anyone have an idea when the houses in donnybrook hill douglas were built and issues around the area excluding traffic please? The ones along "the view" "westgrove" the cresent"
The govt just tried to make apartments more affordable by reducing the minimum size and so reducing the construction costs.
The greens and labour blocked it.
The opposition are keeping house prices inflated while complaining about inflated house prices.
I have magic beans to sell you if you think that'll bring down prices, just line the pockets of developers.
House-buyer here looking for local insights please. What is Mallow like as a town?
On paper it seems to have / will have fantastic connections for commuting - the new CACR service, rail service to Dublin and Killarney, probable stop on future direct Cork-Limerick rail service, junction on future M20 motorway.
But I'm not familiar with the town and not sure what it's like to live in. If I buy a house on a new estate at the edge of town will I just end up having to drive to the station or are the pedestrian and cycling links good?
€1,275,000 in Kinsale.
Yes I'd like to buy it if I was rich, but the kitchen looks like somebody scuttered all over it. Especially down on the floor at the bottom left. Looks like a cow shat at it.

I am new to the house hunting (to buy) game.
I'd like to view this place. Location is good.
But the photos are very weird. Looks like some sort of neckbeard or crack house. Or some cartel safe house where everybody was suddenly arrested or something.
54 Watercourse Road, Cork, Blackpool, Co. Cork, T23WPN4 is for sale on Daft.ie
Can't put my finger on it.
What am I getting myself into?
Would you buy this place? Does anything in the photos (other than the mess) get your spidey senses tingling? I can see there's some rusty water leaking out of the ceiling in one of the bathroom photos.
It´s next to a police station, if it was a crack house I would have questions. Location is good, besides that you are limited in parking and traffic is high. Pro: The best breakfast roll in Cork is served 50 meters away. In walking distance to town and Blackpool.
strange all the previous comments on this house have disappeared….
Prices up for The Orchard on Rochestown Road. €500k for a two bed, ground floor “apartment”. I assume this is the ground floor of the duplexes, which I believe are facing the main road
1.1m for the 4 bed detached. Jesus wept.
No surprise when housing is being built for investment funds and not working people under this government.
Cork saw a remarkable 2% of sales last year out of newly-built homes: 30 sales out of 1,499 houses and apartments.

Been keeping an eye on this one out of curiosity, it's the "AI house" that got a bit of attention last month for it's use off misleading AI images. Bids went up to 580k at one point, then dropped down to 420k and now it's showing no bids. Not sure if the system is just glitching or if they actually did lose the initial bidders.
Agentic AI bidders gone rogue maybe?
Now marked as Sale Agreed

Property on Churchyard Lane close to the Silver Key, sking price €1.45m currently bid at €1.75m - who says there's no money about 😮

Unreal house. Nice payday as carved out slot of land to build on. That whole area right across ballinlough, beaumont, ballintemple and blackrock is gone very dear. Seems to be big money competing for shortage of houses. Amazing property and will have luas in 30 years!!!
