On the subject of delays, what's the chances it's on the 2FM side? In other words, maybe the caller hears the questions as soon as they leave Carl's mouth and answers them immediately, but maybe then there's a small delay from the answer getting from the caller to the studio. I don't know; you'd need to ask someone who's been on, or someone who's been in the same room as someone who's been on.

That’s very true but they will never test the theory, I know when there is a OB (outside broadcast) there is a ferocious delay so they don’t even do it and just local with people on the day or maybe not at all.

They've announced a new 1 hour sports show at 6pm on Radio 1 so was always going to happen.
Yeah but its odd that they didn't mention Game On in their initially press release.
Why is it considered a new 1 hour sports show, when did Game On presenters find out about the axing of their show, are they just going to move to the "new" show?

Well Ronan Collins had a bank holiday show for the first year after he stepped down from his daily show. Maybe Dave Fanning was similar? They're both still getting taxpayer's money from RTE Gold.

Why would RTÉ's "youth" station devote some of its bank holiday schedule to a band who had their peak between 1999 and 2002? Are we going to get a Samantha Mumba countdown on the next bank holiday?
There is no need for 10 radio stations anymore.
They could cut 7 of them and focus their efforts on having 2 - 3 stations focusing more on showcasing an RTE player/sounds app.
Or a Boyzone one?
Also, WL were having UK number ones as late as 2006!
