totally off topic but i worked with a lunatic from Monaghan years ago and he used to swallow a cutter section of a chainsaw blade that was wrapped in a twist of silver for the craic. we'd confirm it was in his guts by using a metal detector we used for finding pipes. he'd have the piece proudly displayed 2 or 3 days later on the dash of the work van. we never ate anything he offered us.
This attack really got too little attention because of Israel's latest war adventures, but a reminder of what the Russian scum inflicted on Kyiv this week
lol
A friend's wife is Hungarian. She's a very mild mannered person and rarely discusses politics or global affairs etc. Just a nice quiet woman, friendly and welcoming. It was interesting to hear her talk with scepticism of Zelensky… seemingly the Hungarian media put out stories about how he's not liked in Ukraine, how he's a big part of the problem, how Ukraine have a lot of responsibility for this war etc. She's well aware of the state of affairs back home under Orban, yet its clear that a completely different picture is painted about Zelensky and Ukraine over there, one which I suspect a lot of the population accept.
It's funny how people generally take as fact the news reports they receive. It's a big problem. Very little has changed since the days of Goebbels it seems - people are still very easily swayed based on the angle of reporting pushed on them.
Pretty dispiriting. I'm sure there are good people in Hungary and other parts of Eastern Europe who genuinely care about the suffering of ordinary people in war but who in doing so also let the real war mongers off the hook as a result of imbalanced media reporting. I think Putin is going to really lean on this "just want the war to end" sentiment to force the US/ EU/ Ukraine to accept the status quo on the ground, allowing him to consolidate new borders so he can rinse and repeat in another 10 years.
How nice; and smart.
Few sources picking up on this
Why did Russia only receive 57 bodies in the recent exchange with Ukraine, the disproportionate numbers (6000 vs 57)?
While Russia is making gestures now, we must remember who started this conflict as Ukraine tries to recover as many people dead or alive for humanitarian reasons.
Is Russia too embarrassed to accept the remains of its soldiers?
Is it worried what the repercussions would be if the Russian public realise how many casualties it has suffered from this unnecessary invasion?
I was just thinking that I had seen an uptick in Orc surrender stories very recently:
All those harsh inhumane beating videos might be having an effect, just not the one intended. Here's hoping that a significant surrender movement is brewing or underway.

Russia returned its own soldiers and officers, passing them off as Ukrainians.
What a sick depraved nation,to think one poster was practically gloating over the numbers being returned!!
So they don't have to pay the compensation to next of kin.
Depraved. Time and time again Russia have shown, and not just in Ukraine, they cannot be trusted in any negotiations to act in good faith. It is a terrorist state.
And yet chances of a concerned comment now about Russia failing to fulfil its side of the bargain… zero.
Seemingly no mention of it on the twitter source that was cited i.e. DD_Geopolitics. Positive proof it is an utterly dishonest vatnik propaganda mouthpiece of terrorists.
russia is a complete gangster/terrorist/mafia controlled state…is there any opposition left at all to putin and his henchmen?
I'd say it's a house of cards though. There is no clear line of succession. Even the mad man of Belarus thinks he should be the next leader
New big cheese
How are you with a spade?
Good news in Sumy and here last couple days
They have spent nearly 2 months and hundreds of troops trying to take that place. They should be trying to stop the Russians from taking 30 - 40 km2 everyday in Ukraine than trying to capture 0.0000001 % of Russia
This is because Ukraine is slowly retreating. In this situation, dead are often left in the territory taken by Russians. Also Russians lie.
So
1 year and 400,000 casualties to gain 4000km^2
Victory in 122 years and 50 odd million Russian men turned into fertiliser
A war of attrition always ends when one side can't fight anymore. War is not linear when the elastic band snaps it moves very fast. Keep an eye on Siversk, very important for Ukraine.
Be careful
you might find yourself sent to said war for using the word “war” and not “special military operation” as per the handbook
It seems like every time I get a ban on here a new war breaks out.
This time Israel Vs Iran.
Pros:
Iran won't be sending Russia too much for the foreseeable.
Cons:
The American's will be stockpiling for themselves incase they get involved.
Another Putin ally betrayed. The best Russia can do is get it's Stooges like Tucker to cry about it online.
Your second con is a pro
Anyways another night another wave of drone attacks against civilians
This seems to becoming the acceptable act of war now. Russia at it for so long that it's not even considered newsworthy anymore. Vance ridiculing Zelensky live in front of the war for giving foreign politicians 'tours' of sites hit by Russia. Israel openly destroying every bit of significant civilian infrastructure, including hospitals in Gaza, targeting doctors and first responders. The irony of them describing Iran's strike on an Israeli hospital as evidence that they are a terrorist regime seems to have been completely lost on the world's media.
The world's citizens are being gas lit on an epic scale by Trump and Netanyahu. Black is white and night is day.
**** Putin, **** Netanyahu, **** the Mullahs and **** Trump

Iranian missile killed this 7 year old Ukrainian girl undergoing cancer treatment in Israel
Her father is fighting Russians
🙄 ffs
The sad fact is that much of the American administration (including Trump) value their honor and esteem and fancy jobs in the white house more than doing the right thing; more than the lives of children; more than saving anything worth while. If Trump had any real honor as a human being he would step aside and let willing people do the right thing (this is the only moral choice that is now left to him, given that he is so compromised by the Russians).
Oh it’s much much worse than gloating
thats a horror show on another level alltogether…
Lovely hit.
