There is delivery charge, to me in Lancashire is £12.00 per pallet up to 40 bags. I try ordering 10 bags and delivery charge was to £12.00.
ordered coal from Rathwood with a Feb delivery date. Latest delivery date is 11th June Delivery date changing weekly.
Used coalonlinedirect the last few years for eco glow and it burns great, fast delivery, never had a problem with them.
Rathwood are a disaster, especially if you ordered using the 'Wait & Save' pricing. Then when deliveries finally happen you probably wont get any notification, except when the driver calls to say they will be at your house in 15 mins.
See the Firewood thread for plenty of examples.

who are you talking to ? Your post is very vague
easyglow have a half price delivery sale if anyone is interested and didn’t get the email
I wonder if we are going to see coal prices come down in the next few months, given global prices have come down some 40% since last year.
These graphs are the global price of coal trading on a contract for difference (CFD) that tracks the benchmark market for this commodity i.e. closer to the wholesale price of coal on the open market, not the retail price in Ireland/NI. [Source: Trading Economics]
I don't have an full understanding of how the market dynamics of coal pricing works in NI/ROI, except to say international supply and demand, global energy prices, cost of shipping and exchange rates are major factors.
The last few years of following this thread, there hasnt been a typical seasonal pattern or cycle to prices either, most likely due to global pricing.
Given the way prices went up during the post-covid inflation spike (as shown below), coal prices locally never really pulled fell back to anywhere near previous levels. My guess is due to higher fixed costs not coming down proportionately and lower exchange rates at that time.
Hopefully as suppliers purchase their stocks for the next winter, we may see lower prices, especially with a strong Euro. But I would be concerned that their fixed costs may be to high not allow for such.
Would be interested to hear thoughts from anyone who understand the economics of local market and possible predictions.
I buy a tonne every 2 years and ran out not long after Storm Éowyn hit as we were without power for 10 days, which used up the last of my stocks. So getting ready for another purchase over the next few months, but will hold off until no later than November if I feel there may be a chance of price drops.

£350.00 plus delivery cost.
Could I please ask if anyone expecting Coyle coal to be delivered by Rathwood has had a delivery or any worthwhile update from Rathwood. The last update I had from them was that stock was expected on 31/05/25.
No still waiting was due in march

Sounds like a lot of hyperbole and sound bites to me. Using the old if we use big enough numbers someone might believe us.
@wassie
As you said, fixed costs have not changed. In fact they are higher, so the drop from about $140 to about $105 will see about €30 a ton coming off.
Shipping to Ireland, processing to smokeless, bagging the coal, delivery cost, admin costs and taxes will stay similar or increase and probably makes up about £250 of the cost
Good old SFMI handed an open goal in the media yet again
Lads whatever you do don't challenge or question an effective tax rate on coal 35% ROI vs 5% NI - just go sobbing to big brother
Who's delivering 1ton to Cork?
Coal warehouse will only do 750kg
Cork transport companies won’t deliver 1 ton pallets anymore. Suppliers up north won’t send 1 ton pallets anymore because they are being returned and are having to pay for the shipping costs back north so now just refuse to ship.
Do you need a ton. The coal warehouse offer is the same unit price as ordering a ton.
easyglow I’m sure still deliver to cork
Is delivery not extra?
As in, am I paying the same delivery charge, for less coal.
Example... If I wanted 3ton... I'd have to buy 4 x 750kg , and pay 4 delivery costs instead of 3.
(I don't need 3ton.. that's just an example)
a question as to how these are delivered?
i live in a terrace house with only on street parking will they drop the pallet on the road for me?
kerbside delivery so yes
The current CW deal includes delivery. Price per 10KG for 740kg is €4.59 while price for 10kg for 1ton is€ 4.50
I didn't realize that.. thanks.
Any idea how much delivery is with them?
