Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
they are on closer to 8:20
Closer to 8:15 actually, I think it was 8:16 or 8:17 when they started.
Still not the 9pm you mentioned.
These early starts usually mean a band wants to catch a flight afterwards.
I see there's a flurry of Zach Bryan tickets on Toutless after Ticketmaster pulled the resale option on Saturday. They're still trying to sell a Gold Circle for 210 via TM when it was 166 back in December. Not sure dynamic pricing will work when there's so many resales tbh..
Yeah, that is one of the reasons, alright. Others can be length or structure of a show - for example Pulp last week started at 8 because it was a 2 part show with interval.
The point being not all headliners start at 9. Can be earlier, can be later.
It was widely reported to be coming out 21st May and I'm sure the tour was a tie in. I guess we'll see soon enough but 1st night is next Monday in Cardiff.
Thats true, I missed Pulp, heard it was outstanding.
Most shows Ive been to at the 3Arena started at 8.15-8.30, very few were 9.
I guess those with a shorter setlist would start at 9, newer acts, who only play for 80 mins.
Dug playing The Academy Oct 29th
Thought they were solid playing a handful of songs before the scratch, not sure how much material they have for a headline slot but if I'm free I might dip in.
someone was asking about basement jaxx support. It’s Jenny greene
Saw someone post photos with them in Dublin airport catching a flight to Manchester today so definitely wasn't to catch a flight
Yea my guess would be they'll have an album out by then, will catch them at ATN and then might pick up a ticket for dublin
Hardy has cancelled his European tour
i’ve been on their mailist for a few years, i got no presale code which was supposed to sent before todays 10am presale, anyone get one ?
never mind, the email arrived late at 10:26
Yes, looking for a code too.
They sold anyway, can't see what TM charged for them only that I get the original £73 back.
Fairly poor quality support for the ticket price
Doesn’t she play likes of vicar/iveagh every other year.
Doesn't mean it's a good support but guess it is subjective. Flipside of her playing regularly here is there's plenty of chances to see her live and lot of people might have seen her already
she is a popular and solid dj. What more can you expect from a support slot to a dance act. Annie mac etc aren’t going to fly in
Where is the thread out of curiosity? Can't find it. Can't get into my ticketmaster account on 2 devices again. Their site seems to be terrible lately
I found this one, but it is focused on dynamic pricing
Sorry, thought there was a thread just for the issues with Tmaster, but there is the "non-specific' questions thread (just below this thread at the moment), and that has a good few older and recent posts re Tmaster.
Olympia and the minutes teasing a gig announcement for tomorrow coincidence????? Would be a big venue for them but would 100% be there
€31.50 to buy tickets for the Galway gig through TM in the artist presale, or wait until general sale on Thursday and buy for €5 less through Roisin Dubh? Chance of it selling out on the presale are close to zero so I'll be waiting until Thursday. It's not just about saving €10 on a couple of tickets, just the satisfaction of getting tickets through a channel other than TM.
There's a band I've not heard about in so long. Almost like Humanzi back in the day. Surely be too big a venue.
There is a thread in (I think) Consumer Issues, but it is mostly for people to vent their frustration on the shambles that's Ticketmaster...
I had no idea they were still going, Whelans the last time I saw them...maybe they are supporting someone?
https://mcd.ie/artists/addison-rae playing The National Stadium on 26th Aug 2025. Very surprised at this, was hoping she might be LDR support but that she would possibly be too big and then she's playing National Stadium. Great chance to see someone set for superstardom in a smaller venue.
