Looking back at Minsk they didn't want all of Ukraine, no at the point they didn't want all of Ukraine because by then they knew that they could not take it all, but the original plan was to take it all, and if they ever can manage to take all of Ukraine, they will do exactly that.
Or as Lavrov says " the new realities of former Ukraine territories now legally annexed and under Russian control" will form a part of any future agreements.
This. RuZZia and Putin think themselves superior to their neighbours, and want it all back ('next stop Berlin.') All of it. If they didn't want it all, why waste a million lives when you're having a demographic crisis?
If RuZZia loses, and Putin is brought to justice in some way, they'll never stop wanting it all back. It'll just bring a pause for some time if the country is brought to heel, broken up as some propose, some sort of government in place that doesn't make its first war on its own people. The RuZZian people imo are inured to the excesses of their government as long as it doesn't bother them, and they have a ridiculously high tolerance for the abuse they'll take.

Putin won't want to meet Zelensky directly as he doesn't want to give him equal status. Zelensky not being a legitimate elected leader etc.
Zelensky won't want to meet Putin as obviously he's a war criminal. But indeed he is willing to call his bluff.
If Putin will neither entertain talks nor a ceasefire, hopefully the penny will drop in Washington. Like, where else can you go if there cannot even be talks? No talks means no deal, as Trump constantly goes on about getting a deal…
Zelensky has been really crafty here though : says he wants to meet Putin face to face, meaning Trump can't criticise him (Zelensky) in any way.
Trump will cry that Zelensky is provocating poor Vlad by turning up in person to meet the RuZZian stooge.

It's definitely something Zelensky has considered. Worst case scenario and it does happen, he'd probably be counting on allies stepping up and/ir joining in. To what degree I haven't a clue

I can't under any circumstance see Putin agreeing to a 30 day ceasefire when it's prime time for a summer offensive. When it inevitably restarts after 30 days they'll have missed out on a month of perfect attacking conditions.
Smart from Zelenski to offer the cease-fire now. I wouldn't be surprised if that weasel Putin offers it come the mud season.
I think there might be a suprise yet ,too much of a coincidense, Trump is an hour away ,any negotiations would have happened already behind the scenes for months, the big cheese always turn up for what a hundred people have worked hard for to claim the glory.

When there's something in the pipeline, Trump just can't help himself and always gives the media a heads up days in advance. And the announcement, when it comes, is always an anticlimax. The most signficant thing we've seen or heard from him in respect of this war was the unexpected U-turn after meeting Zelenskyy in the Vatican (okay, more of a 120° turn than a 180°, but still … )
It feels like there are two distinct camps in the White House in this regard - the Kellogg camp and the Witkoff-Vance camp - with two different agendas, and each struggling to control the Trump mouth. Since the Oval Office ambush, I think the Europeans have got the full measure of what's going on and (finally…) got their own ducks in a line. I'd guess that Kellogg knows better than the other two how to effectively undermine political adversaries, and he and the European leaders are working proactively with Zelenskyy to manoeuvre Putin and Witkoff-Vance into a corner.
Putins war strategy since he came to power can be summed up in the following sentence. ‘ if you want to eat an elephant , then eat ‘a little bit’ at a time and you will eventually have it all eaten eventually’
Given the WIDE GAP between both parties is it not the strategy that the two ‘WARING’ parties are in different rooms and that the ‘discussion ‘ between them is facilitated by an ‘AGREED ‘ facilitator. ? Any American - including Trump - would be totally excluded if only because of comments Trump has made in the past. IMO , Trump should not be ‘next or near’ Istanbul.
