That will give many of them a good excuse not to attend….Sorry Vladimir, but Latvia, Lithuania and Poland have closed their airspace to any planes travelling to Moscow. So sorry! (And meanwhile thanking whatever God they have, (if any) for providing the perfect excuse not to be anywhere near the Kremlin on May 9th,)
So, what do you think is going to happen with Russia?
It's all confirmed. This issue is that it all happens within a large grey area. If e.g. arson occurs on a cargo plane is that enough to start a war with nuclear armed Russia? No. Putin knows this. Likewise if an unregistered ship drags an anchor chain across an undersea cable, or if a Russian ex-spy and some British citizens are poisoned with nerve agent in the UK, or a mysterious explosion happens in a Czech munitions storage facility. These are not individual incidents worth starting WW3 over. Putin knows this and this is how he operates. Everything is done in a very calculated way.
Reports coming in of this..
This is , if confirmed, Russia is sending a message to Ukraine to disengage from strikes with the WW2 parades.
Cyber-attacks on the DNC during 2016 election
In 2020 (by obtaining US voter registration data)
The 2017 election in France (email leaks by APT28), likewise their cyberattacks between '21 to '24
Large Russian backed disinfo campaign during Brexit 2016
Germany discovered hacking attempts by Russian hackers during the 2017 election
Failed coup in Montenegro
Ukraine - where to start with this one. Everything pretty much, including the infamous poisoning of Yushchenko
Lithuania experienced Russian cyberattacks and disinfo
Moldova is under constant relentless pressure from Moscow, here's a report on that I posted recently
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/23/moldova-former-soviet-republic-kremlin-putin
It's a long list. Some is blatant via the troll factories, some use proxy hacking groups (like "Fancy Bears"), botnets, social media manipulation, backing the far right, etc.
Writing a list isn't proof of anything
https://www.armyupress.army.mil/Journals/NCO-Journal/Archives/2021/August/The-Downfall-of-Germany-in-WWI/
It does however illustrate a pattern in what putin and his terrorists do consistently.
Here is a list of wars the russians have been involved in showing another consistent pattern:
Maybe you could put forward a list of positive things moskovytes have inflicted on the world to improve our view on the contribution of putin's empire to humanity.
There has been several incidents where ships eliberately dropped their anchors, and then dragged them over undersea comminucation cables.
Documented examples from indictments, investigations, intelligence and reports.
Handwaving something away doesn't change the reality of the situation. The Kremlin doesn't want a cohesive EU or NATO, it wants us divided, by any means necessary. It's no big secret what's going on, they don't even make much of an effort to hide it. There's a reason Putin had Litvinenko specifically poisoned with Polonium and Sergei Skripal with Novichok. There's a reason why numerous Russian officials "fall out" of their windows.
Some people don't like to process this because they don't like the notion we aren't in control. Which is why they attach themselves to upside-down narratives in which we are the "real baddies", the "mainstream media" is the propaganda and Putin is the victim - a more comforting scenario in which we're more in control.
Not sure what to make of this
Hmmmmmm? Maybe their defeat of those Nazis, no?
The Nazis are in control in the russian federation today with their genocide in Ukraine and authoritarian control of the russian people and the other long list of atrocities currently being carried out in putin's name, so don't think you have a good entry for a list there. Also a list is more than one thing so I'm not sure you fully understood what I asked.
Ah, a deflection. Dismissing that point tells me everything I need to know about your position
That list of countries - is that written from the moral high horse of the West? Because we can make a similar list of the West.
As indeed does this post about yours.
Oh look a list of ongoing war crimes and attrocities committed by Russians not seen since original Nazis came along along Middle Ages
https://ukraine.ohchr.org/en/Briefing-by-Head-of-Mission-on-the-latest-periodic-report
That someone supposedly in located in Ireland would shill for these medieval savages speaks for itself imho
Go right ahead make a list and offer references
You will find the Russians in a league of the own when it comes to barbarity
You want to derail the thread with whataboutery yet again, I’m calling you out to provide facts and backup your nonsense
Also when are you buying a one way ticket from this decadent west you hate to the promised land? If you hate your posting here so much why not ask your boss for a relocation
Ah, yes, our old favourite…
Is that really a grown up response? "why don't you move there" seriously, it's almost like the "if you think our job is so great, why don't you do it?"
So you don’t have any references to backup your statements
Just throw whataboutery scutter around and then runaway when challenged
I think our levels of intelligence are very different,
Mod Edit: Warned for attacking the poster
Bring the war home.
What does the equivalent list for Ukraine look like? Pretty much the same bar Ukraine having been part of Iraq and Afghanistan wars and missing a few of Russia's since the 90's?
Windows will also be a safer place to stand and look out of with a coffee in your hand…
Ah… there it is. Another one for the ignore list.
The ones they were only delighted to sign a pact and get into bed with first? Spare us the misplaced morality lesson
And there you have it… in less than a page… what happens in Ukraine is ok because "West. Bad."
Good night and good luck.
Aeroflot cancelled over 100 flights to and from Moscow. It's just more the authorities are kowing the population and bringing the extreme control of citizens. The internet is being jammed by authorities and online payments stopped around Moscow too.
Oh Putin. What great big ears you have.
Serves them right for stealing all our planes. All the peaceniks and "Russia never did anything to Ireland" posters would do well to remember the €2.5 billion worth of aircraft they stole from Irish companies.
