If you see a job that needs doing..
Slightly before my time but I always liked Les Dawson:
I know this is a question for a professional but does anyone know in relation to the 80% asset test in order to qualify for Agricultural Relief on being transferred a farm, are any other personal assets apart from Pension disregarded. Ie if the recipient owns a house with thier spouse is the full value taken into account or half? I suspect full.
My nephew is being advised to transfer their house to the wife's name, I hear he cant even put the mortgage against it.
Hard to believe that it's counted as an asset even with a debt for most of it against it
He’s Northern Irish which gives him a right to both citizenships, I wouldn’t think he’s any bit confused by that, no different than the other roughly 2 million people that live there.
He has probably done more for the Republic of Ireland than 99.99% of the country have. Funding Cancer treatment centres for children when he was still in his early 20’s, buying land in Mayo to give to Daisy Lodge 5 or 6 years ago to build on are a few things that immediately come to mind.
Saving the Irish Open tournament by hosting it for 4 years when no one else wanted to fund it and organising Dubai Duty free to then sponsor it is another.
Yeah I find it's mostly non golf people that bring up the rubbish nationality argument.
Northern Irish sports people have often had to deal with this crap, Carl Frampton, Eddie Irvine dealt with the same.
Rory's own identity is probably a bit complicated, and members of his family were directly affected by the troubles. It's not all black and white.
And I find that it’s mostly people who don’t live in border areas who would call it nationality rubbish.
You mean people who aren't sectarian? Yeah I'd agree with that.
I wouldn’t call it sectarian, I’d call it someone who’s life was severely impacted by the results of a centuries long conflict between their home country and an invading country not respecting a man the very same age as him who can’t decide which country he considers himself part of.
Entirely his own choice, a direct result of the Good Friday Agreement. Represented Ireland in the last two olympic games so I'd say he has decided. It's not like he's marching on the 12th July with a big drum strapped on to him.
Is it only my phone or is there a lot of rain Thursday and Thursday night. Yr says 46mm on my phone
Thursday night and Friday is a washout apparently.
Loads of rain due in Clare Friday morning anyway

Thanks.

V6400 above might point you in the right direction …
WWould floods in drumlish suit or roadstone in moyne
Floods is a bit of a draw to ballinamore.
I think I went to roadstone moyne before and they said they don't batch concrete.
I see some unsavory types gathered in Dublin last evening, rapist mcgregor, tucker carlson, and some far right wing dings. I always think of the solution to the Landsdowne Road riot in 1995, send in the cops with the batons then deport anyone who doesn't belong here. Not sure what their game plan is but it's a dangerous thing that should be snuffed out now.
Listening to Darragh O'Brien on Claire Byrne, he really is a BS artist. The new climate action plan is literally jumpers for goalposts. Houses falling off cliffs in his constituency, ploughing on with airport cap increase, data centres welcome, yet a further 15,000ac of Ireland South and 15,000ac of Ireland East must be put under solar panels by 2030 so we, as the EU, doesn't fine ourselves.
Realistically we need nuclear power generation here. A god start would be solving the nimbyism that disallows getting anything done.
To be fair, nimbyism is a term that gets thrown around very lightly. Take Lithium-Ion battery storage facilities which are in the infancy stage in terms of regulations here and are burning up across the globe. NTA banned such use (e-scooters etc.) on public transport in Dublin, OPW rejected electric bike charging points within the famous Government bike shed fiasco due to 'significant fire risk' associated with lithium-ion batteries. Yet people objecting to hundreds of battery containers beside their homes are somehow nimby.
oil back on at home this morning after nearly three weeks off.
Similar here, I lit the range in the kitchen about an hour ago.
like deport all those economic refugees
And this is why Tucker and his ilk are dangerous - they sell simplistic lines like this.
you were quick off the mark there. are you saying that people who don't agree with migration are simple?
