Conor McGregor would be a more credible commentator
That’s precisely the point of Russian propaganda
Cast doubt, breed apathy, spread lies, war is peace, freedom is slavery, up is down
It’s good to see that so many people so quickly identified and called out the manure being spread from the firehose of scutter
It shows some level of immunity is being build up against the Russian nonsense
The comments by same poster in parallel threads now become quite interesting in light of him coming out of the closet as a card carrying active member of the Russian reality distortion infosphere
This is why Russia will beat Ukraine in a war of attrition - they're taking double casualties, but have have population somewhere between 3.5 and 4 times that of Ukraine, combined with their willingness to sacrifice their entire population for more land.
Unless McGregor thinks Ukraine are so incompetent that anyone injured dies, sounds more like the way Russia handles casualties to me…
Maybe there's a reason McGregor never managed to rise above field officer rank too…
Over the past few years, youtube has had many of these retired colonels on giving their predictions and all of them have proven to have no more insight into the conflict than the average person on the street. Many of these obviously didn't have the abilities to meet the grade to get any stars on their uniforms.
Russia has far higher military casualties, Ukraine however also high military casualties plus high civilian casualties and a much smaller population. Both countries struggling.
Major difference being that Ukraine with a few exceptions actually tries to preserve their soldiers lives, Russia views soldiers as a mere means to an imperial end
We passed the one million Russian casualties milestone
And Russians got caught on radio ordering to shoot other Russians
@engineerws "we are told Russian's are ignorant yokels, running out of ammunitions and victory is just around the corner.

Nearly three years since the above post, Russia has not run out."
The fact is they were running out and have run out of many things they had. That they found new sources does not change the fact that they ran out of what they started with.
It comes down to more than numbers. Russia's economy is about to disintegrate.
Yeah as we've seen the Russian threshold to retreat is insanely high.
Also should be noted that Ukraine rightly consider injured Russians as eliminated not just killed. Probably a bit of double counting when Russia send the injured on attack and they are killed.
Same way they won against the Afghans and beat the yanks in the cold war?

Ukraine captured Chinese soldiers fighting for russia.
The Ukrainian military has captured two Chinese citizens who fought in the Russian army. This happened in the Donetsk region - President Zelenskyy.
Bloggers and youtubers have been saying that for the past 2 years at least, but Russia seems to always muddle on regardless.
The Ukraine conflict is viewed as existential by Russian leadership and much of the population though, they don't see it as the south asian foreign adventure afghanistan was.
Just about to post the same. Surprised it took so long. Do we think they're there at the behest of China or just mercs that swallowed the Chinese pro Russian spin on the invasion?
The ones that I have seen online are mercs, looking for an extreme adventure, rather than money. Though some of them might be Chinese agents studying the war from the inside.
"We have information that there are much more than two such Chinese citizens in the occupier's units," Zelensky said. "
Well that's Russian manpower problems sorted so. Is it still true that one person in four is Chinese?
Can we now please stop pretending that European, Canadian or Australian troops on the ground, fighting for Ukraine, is any kind of red line?
This should be every country.
Even if it turns out not to be link no harm in a reminder that Russia is an enemy of Europe.

German security officials say they are carefully examining possible indications of foreign finance or influence in a series of attacks in German cities in the past year. However, they have reacted coolly to a German TV report suggesting suspicious internet searches were carried out in Russia before a deadly attack in Mannheim last year.A 26-year-old Afghan man has admitted a knife attack that targeted anti-Islam activist Michael Stürzenberger and killed a police officer in May last year, days before European elections.A ZDF TV report has now suggested that Russian Google searches days earlier had included "terror attack in Mannheim" and "Michael Stürzenberger stabbed".

At first slowly, then suddenly.
Are you seriously saying that much of the population in the russian federation think to exist they need to invade their neighbouring country across internationally agreed borders? Does the russian federation need to be a terrorist state to exist in your view?
It is not seen as that by the leadership. How could it when they are not being attacked? And when it comes to the population the existential threat only exists in the loon world of Russian propaganda.
Depends on what they're fed in school and their media. It could be wall to wall superiority.
I used to play regional basketball and over the years without fail the worst losers were Russian. Wouldn't shake your hand in triumph or defeat. No sportsmanship.
Ukraine was never a threat to Russia but it was a threat to Putin and his kleptocracy. A prosperous, West facing, Ukraine may have opened the eyes of a lot of Russians to the reality of their economic fortunes.
Your username is a closer approximation than your post of how menacing Ukraine is to Russia in reality
There's always a silver lining. Even to the idiot in the White House.
Oil prices fell more than $1 a barrel on Tuesday, trading at four-year lows.
Won't be long now before citizens' deposit accounts will be frozen despite (or because of) the Kremlin's claims to the contrary.
Seeing Russian citizens life savings frozen and then confiscated is the kind of collective trauma that is needed to finally try and purge imperialism from their society.
The word you are not allowed use is WAR.
One less Russian murder machine
Similar tactics to RAF slower piston engined fighters that were on paper outmatched by advanced next generation German jet fighters towards the end of WW2 . Instead of taking them on in a dog fight they would follow them back to their base & shoot them down as they made their landing approach.
Taking out an advanced & expensive enemy weapon with a much cheaper drone is very similar. Looks like Russian air base defensive weapons systems are often not fit for purpose like in this instance. They can't prevent attacks on many of their energy facilities & military infrastructure judging by recent events either.
