😂 Tell me how it’s starting to hurt them. With any evidence (which doesn't exist but I’m intrigued by your inside knowledge) Funds are most definitely not a problem. He has more in his arsenal than he’ll ever need to pay. Calling in the debt is all just window dressing, enjoy the show 😂
" On the flip side, it all doesn’t stop with the total to date paid up- the fines continue day after day and have doubled to €1.4k."
Have they?
yes in February.

23 donors in 26 days, so less than one/day. €1330 raised, so €51/day.
Is his contempt of court daily fine still in effect? I've no idea how many days the school was open in the last 26 - assuming no half term, then I'm guessing 19 days? Which means, if Burke was outside on each of those days, breaching his court order, at a fine of €1,400/day, he's accumulated fines of another €26,600 while the fundraiser has been open…
I reported the fundraiser to Gofundme yesterday, as it happens. It appears to break at least two of their terms and conditions. Their website says they'll come back within two working days, so we'll see what they during the week, I guess.
If the €1.4k is applied from Jan. when he resumed his ‘duties’ it must be near €70 k. by now, that’s on top of the€80k. Assuming he has turned up every day the school was open.
Facebook blocks €862 worth of ads promoting the Burkes.

It would have to go from GFM to some bank account in Ireland.
It's very hard to see how any existing charity would or could touch this with a very long barge pole. There's no existing charity with functions or scope to allow them to get involved.
So that leaves some individual or business. There was previous controversy about an individual involved with a GFM and revenue liability. Revenue basically treated the receipt of the money from GFM into the individual's account as 'income' and a corresponding tax liability arose. It would be same for any company attempting to handle the money.
If the money was somehow given to Burke's, it would also be 'income' for them, and a tax liability would arise there also.
“I can't believe he left 40k in the account.”
It gives a new meaning to the old expression “Fools and their money are easily parted” 😃
From memory, I believe the increased €1,400 fine only kicked in on 3rd March. I'll try to find a link confirming one way or the other.
If he has 40k or 80k to throw away, they need to be investigated immediately.
They are a family of how many? All camped in the one house, all with little to no job prospects having now lost 40k savings and a teachers salary, a solicitors salary and a barristers income that likely will never happen due to their campaign. If they are not feeling it, they are nothing other than a money gathering sham.
I wouldn't make the assumption that they are not tax compliant
He was earning his salary up to the start of the dispute, and getting it paid ever since. As he put it himself, 5 k a year for eight years is 40 k. His savings for to buy a house.
Loads of youngsters have to go through that procedure to do that.
Yes perfectly legit. My point was in response to someone who said that there is no evidence that the loss of all that money is hurting or will hurt them at all. My argument was the the loss of funds is starting to hurt. You would appear to agree with me that it's alot of money and someone on a teachers wages couldn't afford to just lose 40k savings and a further 40k in fines on top of that.
Apparently he posted on X that he had that sum in a bank account. It could be that he, and maybe his family, thought the bank account was untouchable due to faith in their religious belief and family conversations. Accounts need deposits and transactions to keep them valid.
Even from 3rd March, assuming he turned up every day the school was open, he has accrued another €16,800 on top of what he had accrued from the 6th Jan at €700 a day, about €28k. So a year's salary before tax in 3 months.
A 4 hour round trip, only to pay €200 for every hour he spends standing there, fking hell.
Given all the hours he has stood outside the school, he hasn't paid a cent yet!
Not yet, he hasn't. But the law has long arms.
These fanatical religious types always tend to be very passionate about money. I'd say as soon as a cent is actually taken from Enoch they will lose the plot in a whole new manner. They are an absolute gas family altogether
Isn’t it very “clever” all the same to set up a fund raiser to pay for a self incurred fine- and not only one fine- well over 100 fines. Enoch obviously had at least 50% of the 80k owed, but decided not to pay it. He could have- but chose not to. Now that’s taken away from him, he wants other people to pay his fines for him. I think Enoch needs to grow a pair and to start standing on his own two feet for the first time in his life - the world doesn’t owe him a living - he obviously thinks it does.
Am I correct in thinking that Enochs fine is for contempt of court and not for being at school. Surely that means he is fined daily until he agrees to purge his contempt, immaterial of whether he is at school gate or not.
Well, that is what we were all told the fines were for.
But apparently, somewhere along the line the goalposts were moved, and now nobody knows how they calculated the fines.
But they certainly don't total €700 for each day he was in contempt.
There is no indication of who setup the gofundme
I wonder why he didn't put his savings out of reach. Sure, just lodging it in other family members account wouldn't have worked but I'd imagine rent money for mammy. Legal fees paid to his sister the solicitor and diesel money to daddy could only be regarded as legit and untouchable. If he was distributing his earnings since the time this fine was introduced, I'm sure he could have retained his money.
His legal advisor must have presumed there was no chance of anyone being able to get to his savings.
His legal advisor ? Pretty sure we know who they are 🤭
I don't really use Facebook but received this overnight...
If he didn’t and doesn’t endorse it and wasn’t in agreement that it be set up then he should speak out against it - IF this is fraudulent then the Gardai should be involved
Facebook knows what you’re up to 😃
Why call them a coward?
I've seen people being praised for donating quietly and anonymously (not wanting a fuss). Although, this usually happens when it's the "right type" of fund.
Donating anonymously is one thing; seeking donations anonymously is quite another.
I dont think you can assume anything about his reaction
