Tanks are slow and vulnerable now - MBTs. So are IFVs and trucks too. i wasn't against having armour at all but a fast lighter vehicle with an emphasis on stealth countermeasures and manoverability is more useful like the CV90 or Bradley are better and cheaper.

An article 5 test would require multiple people be killed. The UK is in NATO and Orc agents murdered a UK citizen with novichok. That was an attack, and nothing happened.

Some Russian speakers in the far east of Ukraine were, let's say, not so eager in terms of Ukraine going West, but that was more out of fear of Russia rather than love for it. They have the Russians right behind their backs, and they know well what they did to them in the last 200 years. Kharkiv, the 2nd largest Ukrainian city, is predominantly Russian speaking but has been a centre of Ukrainian nationalism, culture, literature etc. for 120+ years. Language doesn't mean anything. Also, important to note that the Russian speakers didn't appear there on their own but were colonists artificially transferred there by the Kremlin from Russia over the centuries – a strategy the Kremlin used to russify all of their colonies.

F35 is the only Gen 5 aircraft there is, and Europe doesn't have a Gen 5 aircraft. The best the EU has is Gen 4.5 (Eurofighter, Raffale, Gripen E/F).
