Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
I saw Durst commented on his post. Did wonder about the label thing alright but would be surprised if they did.
Ignorant cnut knows nothing about moshpits. Hope it turns on him.
In The Meadows have an announcement at 10am
I'm actually shocked he listens to music. What a dope.
John Grant back...
...new additions just announced including SLOWDIVE, BILLY NOMATES, MUIREANN BRADLEY, MERYL STREEK, REALLY GOOD TIME and special Guest DR JOHN COOPER CLARKE and more across 3 stages
in the meadows line up
Some really decent additions there - that's going to be some day esp if the weather holds.
Fab additions, easily the best lineup of the year I reckon. Foor the second year in a row. Impressive curation.
Yeah, a very impressive lower card building there 🙂
Just checked, last year each stage had four acts, so that's our lot. Very pleased with that
Ah amazing lineup! Can't wait for this now!
Slowdive is a great addition! A very good line-up indeed!!
Did the same at Belsonic, didn't bother me at all I'd rather a short setlist of bangers than an over bloated setlist of filler and break stuff is brilliant live so I think it's great it gets played twice 😂
Looking forward to it this evening, I'm not looking forward to standing 3hrs through warm up acts though but it'll be class regardless if that washed up gowl is in attendance
you don’t have to go in for the support. Rock in around 9
I doubt he would be anywhere near the mosh pit, too high a security risk.
Feeble Little Horse, Whelans, Wednesday 11th June: https://mcd.ie/artists/feeble-little-horse
Shoegaze, a bit of Smashing Pumpkins, general yank indie and glitchy electonica vibe. Might be decent live.
Well that sounds nice.
Eminem tour apparently rumoured for 2025.
every few months there is a rumour he is touring. probably a bit late to announce a 2025 world tour especially if playing stadiums
Matt Berninger, August 23rd, Vicar Street.
First date of the European tour. On sale Friday.
Tis stunning, and alas I'll probably have to miss it. I'd happily go along to all 13 acts and though no fan of The Scratch they'd probably be very enjoyably on a sunny (or at least dry) Summer's evening. In The Meadows for me trumps any one day lineup at any day or weekend festival (local or international) in 2025, enormously helped by not having to do much walking between stages. Enjoy it all ya lucky people.
Looked at their dates, playing Primavera Sound and The Garage in London (decent sized venue) so obviously some momentum behind them. Will have a listen.
I liked, but didn't love, Serpentine Prison.
So may hold off until the new album is released and make a call.
I’d say it will fly out. Vicar st shows have no resale either
Meh, I'm OK with that.
I know a handful of people who will buy assuming he'll be primarily playing The National so inevitable warm up gigs and scatter of Summer gigs will either prove or disprove that. So I'll pick up a spare handy enough if the latter.
yeah I doubt three will he more than one or two songs from the national in the setlist. In the encore maybe
The Five reunion in the 3Arena sold out
What's is happening in the gig world
Looks like he has time at the end to tack on a gig in Cork for Sounds of A Safe Harbour so wouldn't be surprised if he popped up there
Gold circle tickets are €140 inc fees.
We've an ageing population of dullards. Bog standard "straight to Irish bar" Paddys who like going on holiday to places like Dubai.
Loads of cool new bands out there who dont bother coming here because they dont sell tickets.
Ole ole ole ole ole
'Hey Dublin' wooow
Big respect to the likes of Dylan and Neil Young. Don't tolerate any of that nonsense
