Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Sophie Ellis -Bextor and Natasha Bedingfield for GIAF 17th July
Wow you could not be more wrong, all born screaming is a banger
To the presale thread!
He may end up with a 3rd, a local Cork boi
They are up to 23 events there for this year, the most in recent years, still a few gaps for something decent.
dynamic pricing turned on for standing spots closest to the park
Presale 9 am tomorrow at same time as general sale
mcd selling tickets to watch the 15 minute attempt
I mean the key issue for Summer gigs is pretty clear, isn't it? Who actually cares who's playing anymore? All I'm interested in from here out is whether Flasher can make it from Connolly to Fairview in 15 minutes. I assume we're putting it to the test? @flasher0030 ? Live stream?
The entrance to the gigs is closer to the river also. So you can cut the last quarter distance off. 15 mins for sure
Saw her recently at the Olympia thought she was brilliant and crowd we're excellent no chatting. Joy of music that we can have different tastes and plenty for all. Night and Day announced few more acts today. Really liking the line up this year and great vibe at the festival.
sure didn’t he just want a Grammy. Ireland’s finest
Im tempted to head up to the Marquee with a drum of petrol in June and put it out of its misery.
Declan Pierce for Fairview too
cian ducrot added second night at LATM
Yep, 1.3kms from the exit by the Annesly Bridge to the door into Connolly. Might be hard pushed to do it in 15mins in the middle of a crowd, but if you get to the back before the end and get out early, it should be doable:

heaven forbid autocorrect. Yeah I listened a bunch of times, same with daddy’s gone and the latest. All seemed unimaginative, left fairview early cause it was same old schtick.
Yeah, I did not expect that. No reflection on the quality of the lineup, which looks great, or the price, which is a steal, just didn't think that kind of event was a big seller. Delighted I nabbed a ticket for the Friday night a week ago.
The album was entitled "Masseduction", for obvious reasons if you've listened to it, and 'dull' is the last word I'd use to describe her output in the interim, never mind her blistering live performances of those albums. But each to their own, of course.
15 bus is 24 hour too.
yeah 3 arena was biggest for Mitski on that tour, arenas for her next everywhere. acts often do mini London or paris residencies in midst of europe run as a breather. Both cities have great mid sized rooms and the arena options in either are the best
Borderline festival completely sold out. I knew i should have grabbed a ticket ages ago.
Had a look at the other European venues she is playing, and the Point is by far the largest. Most are around 2,000 capacity (though she is playing multiple nights in London and Paris, unsurprisingly). I have had the impression in recent years that this sort of thing is happening a lot e.g. Mitski does one night in the Point and three in the Hammersmith Apollo.
Tempted to head to the Halifax show, White Lies are supporting, criminally underrated band.
£63 for both bands is very reasonable.
Last comment on this. Google maps says it's less than 2kms. I walk at the pace of 8kms per hour on a treadmill in the gym. I up that then to a jog at 11kms per hour. But 8kms is the fastest I can go at a walk, without having to break into a jog. When you do the maths, doing 2kms at a rate of 8kms per hour, takes 15 mins. It's a fast walk alright. I don't know what age you guys are or fitness level, but it's not great if you cannot do a brisk 2km walk in 15 mins.
That's my test for this week. Will cycle over to Connolly to walk over to Fairview in 15 mins or less.
Its close to 10 minute cycle. Unless ye're close to jogging it don't think you'd walk it in under 20
it is absolutely not a 15 minute walk from Connolly to Fairview park
It's less than 2kms. Walking at 8kms an hour. That's 2km in 15 mins. I could crawl it in 30 mins.
That's probably the entrance by the pedestrian footbridge, which is probably 25 minutes, the one by annesley bridge where they let you out is a brisk 15.
How fast do you walk?! :P Google Maps has it as close to 30 mins
