Anyone watching this?
It's on BBC iplayer, finding it rather entertaining if you're stuck for a random binge watch!
If you're in the last group
entering for breakfast you can be sure you were on of the people up for consideration, unless they mix it up next season.
You've pretty much ignored anything I've written there.
It might give Paul Brady’s singing career a boost if he can sing the title track 😀
Dude, just because you type something, doesn't negate the glaringly obvious. The final group are the ones shown to be 2 of the 3 names for final consideration for murder.
I've not disputed those up for murder are last, I've said it offers little to no insight for the faithfuls as traitors are put in the final grouping too. I also am skeptical of if the "3 up for murder" are really the 3 being considered. I suspect they pretty quickly decide who is going and then they are the producers put 2 other people up there. I reckon they pretty much have to discuss everyone (maybe not early days).
As I said, you've read and addressed nothing I've written. You've just reiterated your own point.
I’d suspect that the last 3 in is shot several times to not let them know who the 3 were, the knock probably helps continuity. Also all the flowers along the table would help with the continuity too as you can’t see the plates and food properly
I would love to watch the US Traitors starting tonight on BBC3, however it's not available on our package, we are with Virgin. Is there any other way to view it, does it have to be a vpn and then BBC iplayer?
Any suggestions?

Has any other series including America/Australia actually had more than two in the “final”? I think it would be good if you were forced to have a minimum of 3 and the game ends there- it would mean a greater focus by the participants on rooting out the traitor - if you’re convinced your buddy is a faithful, then that’s as good as it gets- all others get voted off.
I think something has to be done with the ending - last year was superb but that’s how the cookie crumbled- this year it was anti-climactic, In my view mainly due to producer intervention with the seer- and also people not revealing who they were.
I can’t think of what would make it better though - I’d love to see say 4 faithfuls winning together but I don’t see how that’s possible .
I think a couple of things worked against the ending this year; mainly Frankie pretty bizarrely choosing to use the Seer ability on Charlotte even though there was only the smallest doubt about Charlotte compared to the others and she more so wanted to confirm Charlotte was a Faithful, and ended up picking the one Traitor in the game. Then coupled with them not revealing if they were Faithful or Traitor in the final meant they wouldn't be able to confirm whether Frankie or Charlotte were telling the truth, and still had doubts about Alexander. Then unfortunately, it all came down to Leanne who just wasn't someone you could root for.
If they were making one change next series, I'd like to have the Seer power be used earlier (maybe around mid-point of the game), and the Seer picks someone to see if they're Faithful or Traitor but doesn't actually meet them. It means the Traitors don't know if the Seer has identified one of them, and the Faithfuls don't know if they can trust the Seer because they could be lying. The Seer could even identify a Traitor, but then tell everyone they picked someone else's name and it showed they were Faithful, so as to not put a target on their own back, while the Seer starts trying to subtley raise suspicions about the real Traitor. And at the mid-point of the game, the odds on whether the Seer picks a Faithful or Traitor are different compared to just before the final episode.
Tbh, I would just drop the power completely, there is enough suspicion in the game as it is. However, if you were to use it I agree keeping it secret might work better and I'd even go further, keep who the seer is secret. You could then get a scenario where the seer is killed before they reveal anything and later in the game a traitor chances their arm and claims it. You are kind of getting into werewolf/mafia territory then though
Just go full parlour Werewolf and give the Faithful a Seer role from the start. Seer has to balance trying to pick when to reveal their knowledge versus dodging nightly murders and banishments. There's a metric TONNE of roles they can use for Faithfuls that would shake up the game massively
Yeah one thing I was thinking that maybe the Traitors one night get to pick who the Seer is, meaning they have to try balance it with who wouldn't suspect them enough to pick one of them, but is also someone who the other Faithfuls might not trust enough.
It's not great, the UK one is a lot better.
Series 1 of the UK had 4 in the final. One got banished and the three split the prize.
Season 2 of the Australian show had 4 in the final and 3 left at the end. There was a great twist at the end of this show.
Thanks for that - I guess each show is unique but it’s clear that any producer intervention will have foreseen and unforeseen consequences - it’s probably about perfecting these to provide the greatest tension at the end
I would like the shield to protect from banishment or murder, let the individual who got the shield reveal if they want they have it and what they wanted to be protected from
And maybe have it until they’re banished or murdered? And maybe have 2 -3 shields going at any one time - so if you choose murder the shield protects you but you then lose it after that night and it keeps going to someone else, always- even at the final round 🤪
Alexander was the best faithful ever.
I think being honest and a team player cost him as arriving late in the game (returning) the others never gave him a chance, he really was good hearted
I do you hope you applied for the Irish one, yourself and the missus should do it
Didn't actually. Didn't see the casting call in time. I had applied for this season of the UK one but never heard anything back.
They'd be scared you out the traitors the first night
Ha, dunno about that now but I reckon they don't really want people with let's say… experience in playing similar games. They'd be more interested in the sob stories and the likes.
Should have just faked a London accent even though I'm from Ireland seeing as that seems to be how Charlotte got in😂
I think another thing working against him was that he was a bit too diplomatic and careful with his words (natural given his personality and job). Trouble is in a game where so many decisions tend to be based on emotion and "feelings", such a person can come across as too careful and possibly trying to manipulate people.
Whereas people like Leanne who shouted everyone down if they even look at her wrong, well she's surely a Faithful.
I'm very curious about the upcoming Irish version. My fear is that it'll be half full of 'celebrity' and influencer type people, just like the New Zealand, American and Australian (series two) versions were.
Leanne was a loud mouth bully with him when he would dare mention her as a traitor but fine for her to do it to him, I wanted him to snap and shout at her but he stayed "diplomatic", I would loved to have seen Fozia have a go at her
It was an open application process so anyone could apply. Irish "celebrity" and "influencer" are wasted on me because I don't know any of them 😀 It's one of the reasons I don't watch dancing with the stars.
I would like to see the US version without the reality TV celebs on it. The various groups tend to stick together eg. the housewives, the survivor players, big brother players.
Conceptually, a shield is useful against someone trying to murder you and not useful if a group of people wish to banish you.
I do think a device to protect against banishment makes sense but it should be very rare and difficult to get i.e. sacrificing money for the pot.
If the producers are smart they'll be watching the other versions, taking the best bits off them and melding it together with some of the unique Irish charm. Reading some of the commentary on it here would also be quite beneficial.
It could be very good. It could also be awful, like you say it'll be very interesting to see what it pans out like.
I'd hazard a guess it won't be anyway near as bad as the Australian one though… nothing could be😂
