Anyone watching this?
It's on BBC iplayer, finding it rather entertaining if you're stuck for a random binge watch!
there were loads of flaws in her claim. Frankie did a really bad job from her position.
Saw Freddie on an instagram ad for M&S.
Some of the likeable ones like him will get more work out of this, I'd say.
I'd say there's quite a lot of conversations that take place in the lead up to the final showdown that they just don't show us in order to make the ending more suspenseful. Like we saw Frankie and and Leanne's conversation near the end where Frankie was pleading with her saying how they're both mothers etc.
There would've been conversations between Jake and Leanne where they agreed 100% that their plan was to vote the other 3 off and what order to do it in. They didn't show us any of that because it makes better TV when we don't know.
Exacty, it's getting more popular every year. Every show naturally declines over time, but I think we're a good two/three years away from that with The Traitors.
I assume the Irish traitors will be shot early summer and shown early autumn? Can’t see them shooting in winter or early spring

An Irish castle or in Scotland?
Elephant And Castle is what RTE can afford..
The chicken wing challenge 😂
Itll be the same castle as the UK one, its where every version is shot.
It shooting in March I believe as per their application form.
The thing is, there's likely to be far more money to be made after the show than on it, and I don't see Leanne getting a big piece of the pie. Alexander will do very well and possibly Francesca too. What Alexander will make from the show will dwarf Leanne's £45k in the long run. It's not enough to win, you have to be likeable as well and, unfortunately for her, she wasn't.
Think it's just the UK and US versions that are shot in that castle. Wouldn't be surprised if it was cheaper for RTE to use one of the many wedding venue castles in Ireland out of season instead of shifting production to Scotland. Hardly anybody gets married in them in February and March so plenty of availability.
Has anyone from the previous seasons gone on to have a career in the media? Apart from appearances on the companion show that's on BBC2
Mollie from last year is on Dancing on Ice at the moment. Decent appearance money in those kind of shows if you can go deep in the competition.
Diane has been on various shows as well. Notable that neither of them won The Traitors, but were popular contestants.
Obviously the early exiters, Elen and the window cleaner etc will just go back to work.
Nope, it’s an Irish location - Slane was mentioned back in November as a possible location
I think March/April was the date given in the initial press release, but I'd have to find it again. My guess is it'll be aired in September/October.
As already mentioned the US version is the only international one shot in the UK. Doubt RTÉ would have the money for that anyway.
My guess is the Irish one will be extremely low budget, and likely shot in some kind of country house/estate like the NZ one.
Wrong.
Ah fair enough, had it in my head they were all shot there. I'm obviously wrong.
About as helpful as eunuch in a brothel as you are in every thread.
Wrong again.
Maybe they'll copy the Boards version and have it in the hills of Donegal…
Fair point. But then it goes back to the point a number of posters here raised, no less the producers, around the participants just being social media hoors, and getting on the show to improve their clicks, as opposed to just plain participants who want to play a good game, like you’ll get on Pointless quiz show or whatever- the sort of people who sign up for murder mystery weekends, and enjoy them 😀
I guess those people probably won’t make good TV in the main.
What Leanne showed is that if you’re a right pain in the ass but you come across as a total faithful you can win. She made it obvious to all she was a faithful - that saved her. Most participants will fade back into the background - if she’s one of them at least she had 45k in the bank
As per general consensus, predictable, even flat finale. Seer role was kind of an interesting idea, but I hope that it doesn't show up again. I always thought that there are other, better faithful roles, that could be used even throughout the game. Apologies if this was asked before, but could someone explain me the filming of the breakfast - How does that work out if in 90+% of the cases, the last three to enter (one of them is murdered) are faithfuls who were considered for murder last night? Obviously, it would have worked for Season 1, but not after that?
Basically all the contestants are taken to a seperate breakfast area then sent into the one we see in the show, either in groups or one by one as per the producers decisions for filming purposes. They don't actually eat a whole pile of the spread that's chucked in front of them for the show!
Not knowing in the final if someone was faithful or a traitor was a complete failure. What were the producers thinking??
Great ppoint. So, if you're in the last group, you automatically know you were considered for murder the previous night.
Episode 10 when Charlotte was a traitor, she was in the last group to arrive to breakfast with Leanne when Joe was murdered. The theory doesn't hold up and the producers know about it, all they have to do is once or twice a season throw a traitor in the final group and the logic is gone. They've done that this season.
Its regular as clokcwork. The last 2 or 3 in have been considered for murder. Watch it back.
Watch back episode 10, Charlotte is a traitor and walks in with Leanne last. Charlotte obviously wasn't considered for murder.
Yes, the last group typically contains who was up for murder but its not insightful for other faithfuls because traitors can be in the final grouping too.
I also doubt the 3 in consideration are necessarily the 3 discussed by the traitors. I assume several people are discussed and the producers splice together 3 for the breakfast and to increase tension.
I don't believe the breakfast theory is particularly powerful in the game. There's a little bit of tin foil hat stuff there tho.
Frankie put her eggs in the Leanne basket.
If she was more astute she should have done the maths that Charlotte would be gone and from there she should have gone all in with Alex against Leanne/Jake. Then it would have been a 2 v 2 situation and her and Alex would have had a chance. But she went with getting rid of Alex not seeing that Leanne and Jake were closer and would get rid of her next.
With the Seer power in play, they kind of had to do it that way.
Regarding the Breakfast theory, I think it is a good indicator early on as to who not to banish that day. Obviously with recruitments, you couldn't carry it over from previous days
The PR machine for Leanne is out of the traps. In fairness her 12 year career as a soldier is a good talking point - she didn’t endear herself to the watching public but then again, Camila Parker Bowles is Queen consort of England so anything is possible 😂🤪
