Work colleague collected his Enyaq 85 sportline plus in a dark grey metallic yesterday, its a cracker of a car. Was in it having a good look around today. Really impressive

tbh for that money most equestrian types would buy a nice 3.5/4.5t van or 7.5t lorry. Not messing around with a trailer. I can’t see farmers spending that money

Enyaq is a lovely car but the prices are ridiculous for a standard size SUV.
I'm always a fan of modern cars, on my m50 trip from north Dublin to West Dublin I'm always spotting at least 2 or 3 251 plates per trip. Definitely feels like numbers are up this year but gotta wait to see January.
They are pricey, but being in it does give the feel of something a bit above the norm.
It's a top spec one and was 57k less grants leaving 54k. He was given 32k for a 2020 kodiaq sportline with 160k kms on the clock, i couldn't believe he was given so much, the kodiaq only cost 42k when he bought it in 2020 until I was over in skoda showroom with him, an equivalent kodiaq now is just under 70k!
So enyaq, while definitely not cheap, isn't the worst value out there either. His 2nd choice was kia ev6 which is a few k cheaper but he just preferred to stay with skoda

I thought the same, but I see now that EV database list an 85 in the old model available for just 15 months Sep 23-Dec 24
Yeah the 85 was in old model as well, increased from 204bhp to 286bhp and got the more efficient motor that's in current vw, cupra, skoda cars including the new enyaq.
Don't think battery changed at all, other changes possibly just spec dependent, im not really sure. Certainly looked identical to the 80 they gave him for a few hours just before Xmas, he brought it to the office.
It's a nice place to sit. Drives probably identical to id4.

that 251 ID3 GTX looks lovely - was having a look at the configurator and can’t figure out why the ID3 Pro S Plus is so much more expensive than the GTX for a smaller battery, way slower acceleration and shorter range

I haven't looked it up a while so I could be well off. But the last time I checked when the GTX was announced the GTX was cheaper in Ireland than other countries but like I said that was a few months ago.
Yes as confirmed the GTX is cheaper in Ireland than other countries for what ever reason. Really odd considering cars are usually more expensive here.

Yeah it's like they made a mistake with thousands of them with the steering wheel side and are fire selling them off due to excess supply

I had wondered if it was that too, or that it’s more expensive than a Golf R in the UK so have excess stock but was at the dealer and most customer orders are made to order.
There’s a 251 C Dacia a few houses down from me and a 251 ID3 GTX pre reg at the local dealers. I feel there are more 251s than there were 241s by now.
I've only seen 3 251 reg but haven't been looking

Is the Cupra Born VZ the same or is it more expensive than its lower rated siplings. ?
It's the Cupra version of the GTX but far, far more expensive which is odd as the older Cupra based on the ID3 though more expensive wasn't outrageously than the id3.
A dark wine colour saloon 251 BMW large drove past today. Possibly electric.
It's about 25 to 30k dearer than a standard born.
It's as confusing as price in a bad way as the id3 gtx is in a good way. It just won't sell.
Standard one is a really good car, you'd want to be mad and very flush with money to buy the VZ
