An adaptation of the book series by Hugh Howey that started with "Wool"; pretty decent cast and arrives May 5.
Same. The season will end with her just outside silo doors.
the other fella will be going into one silo through the tunnel and she will be going back to the other I reckon
Do we think the voice speaking to the sheriff was basically a “Bernard” from a silo near them ?
Do you mean the IT shadow and the voice in the tunnel ?
I assume it's Bernard's boss rather than another IT head.
Subtitles called it the Algorithm.
Must be part of an A.I.
Maybe it meant Al Gore ithm. Special guest star for the season finale????
Yeh, the voice in the tunnel. I thought that maybe it’s just the “Bernard” of another silo. It would make sense that each silos “Bernard” would not be the voice warning of their own silo (to add mystery and confuse the person who finds the hatch).
So it’s a terminator situation where AI took over and keeps people underground?
Watched 4 or 5 episodes of season 2. Even though I'm invested I had to drop out. Interminable bore it was.
i assumed it was whoever is in the 51st silo. Kinda made a weird point earlier in the episode that it was 51 technically and not 50.
Ya saying 51 seemed an obvious nod to something.
51 is probably a swanky vault for the real bosses who tell the IT heads what to do.
Oh dear holy Jebas
Do you mean Section 31 ?
Lol. How did they get there lol.
Well the was just brilliant. Loved the whole series from start to finish. Unlike others, I have an attention span and enjoy a good story being told well and where the layers are peeled back slowly and deliberately. The mis-directs and the gradual introduction of different elements of the story were very well revealed.
The WTF scene at the end sets up the next season so well.
Yup good finish to a slow burn series but Im still fully invested in it.
Glad it's getting to finish on its own terms as well
I feel a bit underwhelmed by that. What exactly am I missing here? The final 8 mins had a few “oh look the duck that maybe Julia had” moments , but felt a bit of a dissapointment from last season. So maybe there was an Iranian dirty bomb (or a self sabotage by US for some reason) but so what?
Just feel like ending with Julia going out into the unknown last year was more satisfying instead of completely new exposition in a completely different setting that hints at some connections to the silo on some level. Didn’t hit the mark for me, again unless there’s something I’ve missed.
Well Jules said she knows how but not who or why. Bernard said he knows who but not why.
I assume season 3 will be about the why and that little epilogue is about that.
Couldn't agree more. A thoroughly excellent second series, upgrade on the first for me. Superb last two episodes, can't wait for the next 2 seasons now. Super performances from Zahn, Ferguson and Robbins.
Thanks Breezy,
Maybe it’s cause I’m binge watching “succession” while watching episodes of silo in between so maybe it’s sort of just feeling a bit like too little is going on cause I’m spoiled!
probably should of waited to finish succession and watch silo with severance. Quirky shows would complement each other.
Second season was okay and nowhere near as good as the first, but it's still an intriguing story, all the same. Juliette was really unlikeable in the second, as well. Very bitchy and intolerant.
EDIT: Couldn't give a toss about your replies, so don't bother.
Juliette was really unlikeable in the second, as well. Very bitchy and intolerant.
She makes it to a second silo and finds a man hidden behind a vault door who helps her sporadically.
She figures out she needs to get back to her silo to help save her friends and family. The guy actively sabotages her at times and she's completely dependent on him.
She then saves him from 3 randomers after being shot and makes it back to the silo.
I'm unsure how she was bitchy or intolerant. She just had a singular focus. Easily my favorite character and probably the only one I care about.
She was the exact same in the first season.
She isn't good with people and that's been her thing from the start.
Thought that was a very well done season and I enjoyed it lots. Great finale. Strong cast.
that young mother is pyscho.
Her whole world is her boyfriend and another woman and limited food for her kids.
Think of it from an animal point of view. That second mouth and womb running round is a threat so she needs to keep everyone under thumb.
Feral. Protective. She’s an angel compared to how we would act if society broke down.
I’m more confused as to how they exist or how they have good command of language. Considering they have Solo acting like a 10 year old that has his development stunted.
But, best to go with the flow and not over analyse. 🙂
Solo hasn't seen an adult in 30+ years. Those kids can remember theirs so probably about 10 years ago.
But ya you just have to go with it a little.
I get why Solo would be upset throughout the season and acting weird but still found his character and teh acting insufferable. The storyline in the original silo was at least interesting. I don't mind seasons that are slow burns but feel juliettes side of the story was just underwhelming
personally felt the exact opposite. The rebellion is something I didn't really care about. It was slow. Boring. Predictable.
I'd no idea what was going to happen with Juliette. What was in the vault? Who was solo? Who were the other people? etc.
In the end, i liked the IT shadow stuff.
I've started to read the book and am interested to see if the Solo stuff is as long. Feels like they had to drag it out with various tasks so that Jules would have something to do in each episode.
I loved the mystery of Solo and the interactions with him but the "do this to get that" computer game quests where she obviously was not going to die bored me.
Bernard and Lukas were probably the best part of the season. Loved their "fuk it" final episode persona's where they both insultingly finally hand Sims the now sinking ship. It will be silly but I hope they save Bernard. Him leaving would be a bit like when Game of Thrones started to kill it's heavyweight experienced actors.
