Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
The Wallopers ain’t getting less than half the Fairview fee to play Galway. Not a chance when they’ll have so many alternative offers. I’ll find out what they’re getting later this week. Heineken sponsorship ain’t significant. Or you’d see bigger acts.
As before, direct from the promoter, the Big Top ain’t getting any grant money. If you’ve proof otherwise (after stating it as fact) please produce. Otherwise we can leave it there. I’ve no more to add.
like this post if you’re praying inhaler don’t get booked to Galway arts festival👀
Lydon summarised it well……
Fontaines headlining All Together Now!
Hopefully this isn't Michael Kiwanuka's only irish gig
Looks like Charli XCX sold out? Got queue number and told you're in but then no tickets
Ignore! I didn't go the presale link, got tickets!
Absolutely love this lineup. Apart from Bicep, CMAT & English Teacher I've seen all the acts at least a couple of times and would be delighted to see all again. There isn't a single performer there that I'd not go to see at a festival. And nice to see Hinds around, not seen them for 10/11 years, always a treat.
Good spot. Grian has a collaboration ("Stranger") on their latest album
Ah, hadn't realised that, in fact not heard anything from them in years. And they seem to have done another recent track with Beck. Please get him along as well.
I tried to get presale through the link for Charli xcx but kept getting an error message for an incorrect number of tickets requested? I tried all options from 1-8 tickets and it wouldn't work.
This is the exact message: "There aren’t enough tickets to complete your request
Please update the quantity or ticket type to see available tickets."
Anyone seen this before?
Fairview Gigs.
If I wanted to contact the organisers about hiring the big tent during the afternoon when it’s empty, who would I contact?
PM please……
Trying to organise a bare knuckle fight between seathrun and Irish?
Beyond the Pale, have a video up saying we can't wait for BTP 2025
That's their current standard message for "no tickets available".
Ah damn it thanks. I joined the queue as soon it opened so thought I'd be able to get them. Will have to try again on general sale!
Real Lies playing the Workmans Club on Saturday 15th Feb. Only €18 for tickets, onsale today.

Mogwai & Mary Wallopers on sale for Galway Arts, €41.45 (including fees) for either. Sorry for being repetitive but that's a bargain. Same with Iggy & Co for circa €70. Wallopers in Fairview works out at €56 which would also be good if they had a few decent support acts (I'm not sure where the €60 ticket price originated from but it's €10 lower at €49.50 before fees).
There's good value to be had out there, but it's rare to find it outdoors in a year when Weezer can schedule an uninspiring support band and charge €88. In 2025 you'll again find me in the small venues, with the odd trip to the Olympia.
Dara ó Brian for the Marquee June 29th
Wonder is there any appetite for two threads , one for announced/confirmed gigs 2025 (no chat) and another for chat and rumours for gigs for 2025
Or is it just me
Just for $h!t$ and giggles I compared the three options when buying tickets this morning: 4 tickets on Roisin Dubh = €165.62 4 tickets on GIAF = €165.80 4 tickets on TM = €196.60 That's for four identical sets of tickets for the Galway Arts Festival Big Top; two for Mogwai and two for the Mary Wallopers. If that's not an incentive to shop local I don't know what is.
or scroll on by the ones you dont want to read….. 😏 Time isnt that precious!
Or a thread for each city, with another to cover NI? Festivals and indoor gigs separate? Easy to scroll by what you don't like and there are only so many threads people can join. Personally I think it's better to keep all 2025 gigs here. The feedback from people helps make a decision on what bands to see either pre or mid-tour. Having the info scattered between two or more threads seems a bit unnecessary, no?
I agree that this thread is good for anything upcoming, rumoured or confirmed.
And we can start a new thread at the beginning of the new year to share gigs that we attended.
Double post deleted
Oh, absolutely.
Same with Whelan's: they only charge 50 cents (or 1 euro, not 100% sure) when you book through their website. Same ticket at Ticketmaster would have a minimum of 2.50 even for the very cheap tickets. If I remember correctly, Ticketmaster charges a flat % on ticket price - i think it's 12%?l
I believe similar applies for smaller promoters like Selective Memory, Foggy Notions etc., when they have alternative ticketing channels.
The annual Yule gig at Dalymount Park on Saturday 14th December. It's a great line-up for a decent price. There's very little information online about it for some reason but seems tickets have sold well it seems so maybe they don't need to advertise it. Tickets here https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/yule-24-tickets-1044096208867
Was just a suggestion , it isn't a huge issue for me , like where you have Amazon bargains chat and Amazon bargains posts, I use both btw
Sorry didn't mean it to be an attack on this thread or anyone here. I read it nearly everyday, and appreciate the info people post
There's already a thread for gigs that have been attended.
True… In fairness the title is so similar to the 2024 gigs?
Maybe "Gigs weve Been at" or something like that going forward would also help differentiate between the two thread?
