what about Entebbe- in Uganda I think?
It would be BEYOND belief that ANYONE in the free world would do such a thing ie shut down Starlink on the UKranians and not ditto for the Russians. Putin would ABSOLUTLY ‘GO TO TOWN ‘ on UKr - if even that was the case for just a week or two
Ukraine hits a military target in Russia, now Russia will respond with indiscriminate missiles in Kyiv.
The usual idiots will tell us it’s Ukraines fault.
That's exactly what is in store in a short few weeks. Chilling to think how Ukraine will look after a year or so of the Trump presidency.
Oh I predict they will spend next page complaining bitterly about how Ukraine and US are making it hard for them to rape their neighbours
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/11/19/biden-landmines-ukraine-russia/
A lot of the posts by “friends of Russia” have a real smell of “why do they keep struggling? And not let us do our final solution” about em
You and others here routinely say it's all a bluff (I really hope it is) and this nuclear weapon state won't respond at all to the targeting of it's territory with NATO prescision missiles. We've nothing to worry about.
Next page only, I admire your optimism.
Ok Kermit Da Bomb game out the scenario for us
You wake up one morning and see on news that Russia has used a nuclear weapon flattening yet another town to bricks
What happens after?
I don't see how that negates the reality that Ukraine in the future may lean on deterrence measures to fulfil their security needs.
It doesn't have to be a nuclear weapon. Russia has already used non-nuclear but highly destructive FABs at least twice in this conflict.
Let's say for arguments sake they do a demonstration strike with a tactical nuke, dirty bomb or something. I highly doubt that's going to on a city/town/village. It's far more likely it would be on a congregation of Ukrainian troops/equipment.
My biggest concern is they could use one or more FABs if they target a populated area.
Again there'll be no response so we've nothing to worry about.
Ah so it ends up your “but but Da Bomb” response is a bluff itself, interesting…
As for glide bombs they are already using them daily, are your trying to imply that the Russians were deliberately “holding back” from using more of them? That has a real smell of “we will see” and “Russians just haven’t been trying to invade Ukraine hard enough” lines we often hear
Ideally yes I just think Ukraine is far more concerned about short term security than long term right now. Zelensky just said on Fox News that if the US cuts military aid Ukraine will lose the war. That's the reality of where we are at the end of 2024, Trump and his band of crooks and lunatics literally hold the fate of Ukraine in their hands and no one knows what they will do
First footage from Kupyansk region of the OFZAB-500 guided air burst bomb.
It's not even a "response". It is just what they've been doing for 3 years anyway.
To be fair what would expect him to say? Sure we will be grand.
He is a politician, he isn't going on Fox News because it is his favourite cable news channel.
Unfortunately he needs to stroke the ego of the narcissist because that's what dotard reacts to.
I don't know if it strokes Trump's ego but it certainly gives Putin great encouragement and gives Trump a lot of leverage over Europe: if Ukraine situation deteriorates significantly there will be millions more refugees in Europe and the continent just can't take them. Great negotiating tool for Trump when it comes to trade and spending, which is much more important to him than human rights
South Koreans have confirmed it.
But what do you think they were there for? Learn new techniques in farming, site seeing, keen old church tourists?
Apparently there is another great negotiating tool

Landmines also being supplied now, another redline fallen.
I heard a NATO officer has to arm each one individually eh @brickster69
All great but why didn't Biden do this last year.
So Trump threatens to flood Europe with refugees in order to get trade deals?
That is very much a Putin tactic.
As powerful as America is and how unhinged it may be with Trump in charge, actions have reactions, realignments are guaranteed.
Trade wars are a 2 way street.
He didn’t want to “escalate”
Russians predictably enough “escalated” yet again ignoring him, so here we are
But more importantly the lessons Trump will take from Bidens actions this week is that the stronger Ukraine is the stronger his hand in “negotiations” with Putin, and he fancies himself as a genius negotiator (even wrote a book about it)
The Logic is ''Why doesn't she just lie back and enjoy it. She's just making it harder for both of us and worse for herself in the end. And you're making it worse by encouraging her''.
They can be used in Ukraine itself against high density targets.
Biden is making things a lot easier on Trump if he decides to support Ukraine. Landmines banned from yet another idiotic international treaty being sent plus the obvious lifting of restrictions into Russia at least in the northern side of Ukraine. But I don't see why they can't use these all across Crimea on the other side so could be a total lift.
Is there anything else Biden can do?
Just incase anyone didn't get the email. This is the new official party line. Double pay per post relating to this through the weekend.
Well, they did fcuk all when NATO supplied HIMARS started raining down on them, they did fcuk all when the NATO supplied Leopard tanks started arriving in Ukraine, and also crossed into Russia, they did fcuk all when NATO supplied F-16's started getting delivered to the UAF….
I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark here and suggest they will also do sweet fcuk all about ATACM's hitting targets inside Russia..
Anyone that still believes Russia are to be feared, and their retaliation should be feared needs their head examined…….
As I said a few days ago, they'll do nothing they aren't already doing because they are already doing everything they possibly can.
Their only response is to rain down drones and missiles on civilians in Ukranian cities…… something they've been doing for almost 3 years now already….. so anyone scared of 'escalation' is a fcuking idiot. THE WAR IS THEIR ESCALATION….
In all the doom and gloom this bunch of good news from Forbes was missed
tl:dr Ukrainian interceptor drones cut lancet attacks by 75% and are busy taking out loitering high altitude reconnaissance drones that are not worthy of stinger use, breaking the Russian drone calculus
Exactly.
They were promised protection 30 years ago if they gave up their sizeable nuclear arsenal, and when that protection was needed, it was half baked and half arsed, and look where they are today…..
Hopefully the lesson has been learned in Kiev that not only should they not trust Russia, but they should also not trust the West either.
I only lurk here, generally. I find there is a lack of depth and analysis apart from a few who know what they're talking about ( JM, Manic, Wibbs etc). Each to their own. it is a discussion forum, and we're lucky to be able to express openly our views. Freedom isn't free.
However, I have to say I am getting hints of July 1914 about this situation. "It could never happen" etc.
I feel there are a lot of heads buried in sand.
Just a thought.
Did your July 1914 Vibes meter not activate 1001 days ago when a dictator decided to fully invade it's European neighbour?
