Ok so im living across the border have a good signal on saorview get all channels bar rte1, im using a bt tv pro box cant for the life of me figure out why can get all the saorview bar rte1?
Any other channels from that frequency also missing?
It would be odd that only that channel is missing.
RTE1 from clermont has been on throught with no interruptions
actually yes quiet a few now i have checked what i should be getting i currently get rte two, tg4, rte jnr, rte news, rte oireachtas, virgin 2, the box wont allow me do a manual search on ch46, however my tv tuner gets all channels must be issue with box
Clermont is on Channels 42 and 45. You are getting 42 but not 45. In Dundalk I get channels from Camlough on 46.
What signal readings have you got on 42?
Probably a signal strength issue to the BT box .
Either a bad cable connection to the box or the signal strength is low and handled better by the TV's tuner than the BT box tuner.
Can you access signal information on either of the tuners? Signal strength/quality readings for the RTÉ 1 frequency/mux is likely lower.
Overall it might be an aerial or cable issue causing a lower signal issue
I’m living in Donegal and just yesterday and today my signal keeps dropping and coming back on, I was wondering what was happening would the two things be connected
Unlikely, different transmitters
signal strength 91% quality 100%, had a second box here swapped out and all good must be bad tuner in other box just glad have all channels now as can record
Interesting you can get DTT reception from Camlough in Dundalk. Do you use the one aerial to receive it along with Clermont?
The footprint if it can be trusted shows coverage into Dundalk. All the radio stations from Camlough can be got in the car a lot further away. I can also get the high power channels from Divis. Same aerial for everything. On my chimney since 1981.

(the ukfree website is very slow to load as I type this).
Divis only for me out here on the Carrick Rd. Excellent FM reception in the car from Camlough, plus patchy DAB around the town, which is solid once you’re past the Ballymac roundabout on the N1.
