That Irish bench had a hugely negative impact....
So many poor performances...frawley and henderson were borderline disgraceful....
Why is Cian Healy involved? He offers nothing....
Certainly a refeering performance for the ages..NZ are muck. Crowley and Frawley really, really poor.
Completely agree. Our shape was poor mostly and when we did look threatening we dropped the ball. NZ didn't even have to play very well.
Don't worry, our internationals 10s have just given Sam a massive push.
He's demonstrably the most talented and capable 10 we have, and it's only going to get more obvious as the season goes on. He's at a different level from every other option imo
He came on when the team was getting mullered and made a few mistakes. It happens.
Single out Frawley when most other players were just as bad is nonsense.
I think the bench did make impact, the issue is the impact was just a continuation of what the starting XV was doing…
Neither Ireland out half at the races tonight. Yes, the ref made some very questionable calls and the officials missed some stuff, but Ireland were amateurish.
Had a chance to capitalise on the yellow card and push on but just too indisciplined and rusty.
Lineout was horrendous, handling rotten, discipline abysmal.
Crowley dreadful, Frawley beyond dreadful. Time to give Prendergast a shot.
Hopefully that’s the end of Henderson also. Haven’t seen a decent performance from him in years.
Lowe celebrating a 50/22 like he won the fecking World Cup and we 10 points down.
What a gobshite
Frustrating, kept NZ attack very quiet.
Both teams poor.
Ireland worse, much as I hate to say it.
Hansen has been poor for connacht this season but gets the whole game
What does Henderson actually offer?
Totally agree.
But the performance of the other outhalves has just catapulted Prendergast into the conversation.
And the sad part is NZL havent even been that good, definetly not as good as the WC or even their last game in Dublin…but thankfully for them it's Ireland's worst performance since the 2019 WC so they didnt need to be that good.
Awful stuff against a poor NZ team.
The team looked very old and tired.
Need to seriously question Farrell's backroom team
We look so rusty , this is a nz team that are very beatable, if we met them in game 2 or3 we beat them. Tonight we were terrible.
Some really sloppy performances tonight, Hansen, Frawley ( dear god) Henderson, McCarthy.
Add to that a sh1t atmosphere
VDF, Beirne can be proud,
JGP was phenomenal in defence.
Argentina will fancy their chances based on that performance.
There needs to be a far better shape presented in attack in the next few games. Frawley is getting a lot of blame here, but Crowley was on the pitch for 55 minutes and we manufactured very little. We can't blame the conditions for both our 10's performing poorly.
I don't think rustiness is an excuse, England have the same situation last week and didn't look anywhere near as bad.
Big questions on POC and I'd wonder why on social media a lot of Munster fans seem to see him as a munster coach down the line.
Our lineout was awful which means our attack flounders.
Think we need to bring Osborne at 12 and start investing in Casey a lot more.
So shehal. How do you rate Ireland then? That was a pretty dud game of rugby. Ireland’s best player was Cortez Ratima. Ireland really need a refresh too many past their prime players. NZ weren’t particularly great but dominated possession and territory and were handicapped by Ratima who was a snail. A deserved victory on balance.
Farrell needs to get out the knife and ditch Healy Murray Henderson etc. Just too old. Hard luck but you’ll be back.
The ref warned him for speaking too much to him.
Don't know why people are lumping Crowley in with Frawley. Crowley had a 7/10 game. It was clearly a tactical decision to kick chase given the new interpretation. Frawley had a shocker.
just a crap game to be honest. Won’t be any talk of team of us for a while after tonight
Yep that's fair
Literally the only positive thing we did for the better part of the 2nd half. Team needed a kick up the arse, and he provided a spark.
Ireland beat themselves, the amount of unforced errors was shocking. Mckenzie kicking points for fun off the back of needless penalties. We should have controlled the game when we had the extra man and used with and tired them out.
Hoping it's first test. Now I'll have to listen to Kiwis here all week melt my head.
Ridiculous warning. Well deserved NZ, we haven’t been made look that poor in years. A lot of self inflicted errors with dropped ball but NZ played the game and conditions better.
Crowley was poor, Frawley was poor. Nothing else matters really.
