I wonder how this will work out for him

I think he's be more likely to blame the parents.
"Well, you see, Simeon - we notice that you can't accurately define 'human rights' so that right there would mean you're not up to the grade we require."
I wouldn’t blame barmen for not letting him in to the bars of Ireland - wouldn’t spend any money anyway 😀
Gay for God.
wonder do they go to the ploughing
….
The relationship between barrister and devil is very close, you are literally side by side for much of the day. Also you are brought into private consultations with clients and solicitors. A bad devil has the potential to torpedo the career of someone taking them on.
Nobody can be forced to take him on as their devil. On the other hand in the long run it will likely be impossible to permanently prevent him from entering the profession because he is unable to secure a master. Probably they will come up with some sort of compromise whereby if he watches court proceedings for a period he is permitted to start practicing without devilling.
Half of the point of devilling though is to meet solicitors and get experience in court to the point where solicitors are comfortable giving you work which then enables you to work your way up to more important work. Barristers in the law library are self employed. Even if he is permitted to practice without devilling he will find it impossible/very difficult to be briefed by enough solicitors to sustain a living.
Mammy is always shouting and the nodding donkey cuts in every few seconds to try get a few words in, at this stage they are well down the blind cul de sac and the young donkeys are ruining their futures one by one, what happens when mammy kicks the bucket and they realise what was it all for.
The way Ammi nods along, repeats certain words and interjects with "yes" is freaky.
Everything is transgender ideology/gay, nothing to do with being a travelling circus.
I agree with you on all points.
The most important word in the post is the c word compromise.
The Bar Council needs to get their thinking caps on and come up with a compromise solution that will facilitate SB in entering the profession.
After that he will sink or swim on his own merits.
Why should they change their rules or compromise? He's acted the tool, time to face the consequences…
Can I ask why?
Why would the Bar Council want him? Why put in the effort to find a solution? They are not his mammy.
Why should they change the rules for him? It's in place for a reason.
The real discrimination would be if they changed the rules just for the Burkes.
I thought it was very sad to see Ammi like that. They all do it. They all have the same automaton way of speaking. I wonder how they all learned to speak like that. Just thinking about their childhood.
In a way I do feel sorry for the kids. I think it's clear that they didn't really develop by way of social skills. When your parents carry on like they have with Enoch being in jail for over 400 days now when he can easily get out I think that tells you everything about them. Just look at the carry on in that video.
I don't suggest changing any rules.
But then what do you mean by the following:
You do appear to be suggesting that a compromise solution should be found. Is the difference between a compromise solution and a rules change not fairly academic?
I agree that it can appear open to discrimination that someone can be prevented in entering an effective apprenticeship for a profession because, for whatever reason, no-one will take them on.
But in this case the reason for that discrimination is hardly surprising and there's a large component of personal choice and knowing disregard for rules and norms in SB's and - by extension - his family's behaviour and actions.
And it's arguably not discriminatory in the first place - just a natural reaction to the Burke's observed outré behaviour and their quarrelsome and overly litigious nature, so I don't know if the onus should be on other parties to compromise and for them to facilitate SB.
Why would they want him in the profession?
EEh... no they don't.
He needs to facilitate himself by demonstrating that he can control himself in a courtroom.
I'll just repeat that I have not suggested any change in rules.
What I have suggested is a possible solution to this issue.
Some or all of them may very well not want him in the profession.
I just gave my opinion.
They may not agree with me.
That would be like nominating Netanyahu or Putin for the Peace Prize.
Could you elaborate.
I'm saying they are under no obligation to facilitate him - that's fact.
And they have nothing to gain from facilitating someone who refuses to act maturely in a courtroom - especially when that person is trying to gain experience as a lawyer (and arguable, quite a bit to loose…)
There's not much more to say really.
I just believe The Bar of Ireland having access to the expertise of some of the best legal brains in the country has the capacity to find a solution to this issue.
Sweet merciful Zeus.
I got through about half the above video before I just had to stop. Now apparently, it's all because of the gays and the transgenders and LGBTQ "ideology" that poor sad-face Simeon 😢 can't get admission to the Bar.
Mammy just ranting on and spewing her projectile hate at anyone within earshot about surgery on children, and puberty blockers etc, blah blah blah. Their delusion is growing.
Not legally obliged but an intervention could help to resolve the matter.
They may agree with you and feel it's not in their interests to intervene.
There's nothing to say they have to or they should They're a private body and the conduct of a legal professional, especially as regards their behaviour in court, needs to be beyond reproach. If he can't accept that then there's plenty of other professions he could pursue. Maybe not teaching though.
Why?
I wonder if he would represent a gay person in a court of law?
Social inclusion and all that.
The guy has a history of problems.
A rapist thalidomide victim managed to progress through the legal profession to become a judge. So why not him.
Give the cracked up fecker a chance. Show him some love.
