Latest hot flash.... helicopters, which inherently are insults to the laws of physics, are vulnerable to various systems.
There is a reason why NATO helicopter use doctrine has changed over the last decade or two. They realise that the front line has gotten consistently more dangerous, and the iconic "supporting troops in contact" image of over-the-shoulder attacks are now considered emergency use options. They are still very important, but now used differently.
Like many things in this war we don't know enough about what is happening around Pokrovsk to make any calls on it.
Are Ukraine retreating as they are overwhelmed by Russian numbers?
Are they just doing a tactical retreat, giving time for solid defensive positions to be placed around Pokrovsk and hopefully the arrival of more air defense systems that can be used to counter the glide bombers?
Are the Russians starting to get their act together?
A combination of the above?
Hopefully they can keep them out of the city until the rains arrive.

People in the USA shouldn't snigger considering their normalisation of mass school shootings that hints towards a slide back to its frontier past, albeit now in a mostly urban setting.
Media in the West has jumped the shark somewhat at this stage and I'd fear this is is not going to be the gotcha moment most sane observers would hope for.
For example I've not even bothered highlighting this latest revelation to one of my work colleagues who has constantly spouted Russian talking points. Some people are dug-in to their beliefs quite stubbornly.

That’s quite interesting it was mentioned I think on the War on the Rocks podcast recently that Ukrainians didn’t really have a way of shooting these Lancets down due to their height above ground, and using a SAM missile on one is expensive

Good advice, but I've many other interests beyond this war for which it provides great use also. I've no Facebook, Instagram or any other social media type account so despite the amount of absolute drivel you find on there I don't feel the need to bury my head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist.

No matter how much the Ukrainians are able to destroy, the Russians just seems to have endless supply. It's like they've cheat mode activated.

In March 1918 German forces advanced 60 kilometres. In July they attacked Reims. But behind the scenes, their army was in tatters, the country was bankrupt and when the navy revolted a few months later, they had no choice but to surrender. We might be a few years away from that still, but I suspect that the end when it comes for Russia, will come quickly and unexpectedly.
Not too much difference between a helo taken out by a drone vs a helo taken out by a MANPADS, ATGM or even an anti helicopter mine (yes, they exist). You may recall a number of Russian helos being shot down by the first on video, starting from Day 1. Heck, remember all the hassle a single RPG caused to the US miltary in Somalia when it hit a helo?
The argument of cheap things killing expensive things has been around for over a century. It's just another factor in the all-arms battlefield. Not anything new.
It is pretty crazy situation, with the internet and social media in Western democracies now. I think during the Cold war there were (or perhaps still are?) laws in countries incl. the US stopping the Soviets buying out and running newspapers, radio and TV stations etc.
Yet today we have both TikTok (owned by the CCP) and X (CEO is a bit of a dodgy character with a weird 😀 agenda, and some shady investors as you mention) spewing sewage 24-7, and no one dares stop it. Not to mention other smaller, less important fish like Telegram. I hope it will correct eventually, but it is taking a long time and I fear more damage will be done in the meantime.
