Yes has been for a few months now. A few got deliveries in the last shipment.
I’d love to see if there’s any build quality differences.
Yup as Gumbo said they have been for a few months I had a look at the vin no.s on a few in Tesla Cork recently and they are Berlin vins also both CATL and BYD battery variants of the RWD drive version were there so seems you could get either depending on batteries available for your cars production slot.
Friends Model Y rear motor went today. Long Range version with under 40k on the clock.
Still under warranty of course but the hassle!
AA took it this evening. I’ll update in time frames etc as I find out more. I’m supposed to out with him tomorrow for the old firm and then Liv V MUFC. He won’t be a happy camper 😂😂
Not good. I expect this would be €€€ if the car was out of warranty ?
I’d say so. No idea on costs myself.
Yeah, big bucks due to structural pack
I thought only German Ys had the structural pack and MIC didn't? 40k kms sounds a bit much for a recent MY from Germany.
a Lot of Y’s out there, haven’t heard any similar stories. But I’m guessing even if he was outside the 80k this would be covered under drivetrain 8yr 160k km warranty. I’m just past 50k km with a RWD. Will need to make a call on If I’ll extend the full warranty before I hit 80k next Mayish.
It's 192k kms warranty for the LR.
It’s a MIC MY. 3D7 Rear Motor. Seen a picture yesterday. It’s in Sandyford now so I’ll update as I hear.
Rear Drive Invertor replacement required due to an internal fault.
Anyone an idea on cost if out of warranty?
Break it to us very gently.
I noticed a few people selling off their Y recently from the comments. I'll be selling my June '23 Model Y (White on white) with 25k km on it. What would should I expect a fair price to be at the moment?
€35k or less I’d imagine.
if its a MY LR then under €35k straight cash to a dealer, vector or graham. If you got matched with a private buyer then upto €40k
€30K for a RWD model I’d expect.
Only 15 on DD at the moment, lowest is 38k (G.walker I think). Now that price doesn't make a whole pile of sense given a new on is 42k. But they haven't flooded 2nd hand market like the 3's have yet.
Given low milage id go in at 35k on DD and see what bites then lower. surely 32/33k would be least you'd get. I think thats a bargain for someone looking for a great EV.
I have the same car but with 50k km on it. So 30k would be realistic for me if I was to sell but I really wouldn't want to. Tech, Space, Economy, safety, acceleration only thing that could push me in the next year would be a Juniper Model Y but if probably lose too much $
45,058 for white and 47,155 for black/blue, and 48,166 for red or quicksilver.
Price for a new model Y RWD dropped to 36990 over the weekend on some market, France in particular. It's 45000 here still on the tesla website.
Jeez, that's interesting - some value there!
Wouldnt want to be a MY owner over here just now 😲
They must be sitting on some stock of LHD cars to reduce them that much especially when it's not quarter end.
Is it to do with the new update coming?
How much for a LR version ?
I’m Still getting €40k for the cash price.
Edit.
Just seen this at the top of the page.
So I drive from Limerick to Galway for Cannonball on Sunday morning. All motorway and just under the speed limit, it was about 16C. Two adults and 3 small kids. Consumption was 180wh/km Model Y RWD. I never pay too much heed to this but it does appear to be on the high side to me ?
Not high at motorway speed, most similar sized EVs would be 20+ at motorway speed.
Car returned today.
Rear Drive Invertor replaced. Shows a cost of €899 for the part (I’d say plus VAT). labour at €165 per hour (3 hours).
Covered under warranty of course and Tesla said it would be part of the drive unit so covered under the 8 year warranty.
Less than I paid for a turbo on a TDI Golf ~15 yrs ago
Less than the timing chain on the E60 a few years ago too, by a good margin too!
Hopefully that’s it. There’s not too many failure points on the Y, other than battery of course
