Please use this thread to continue discussing the war in Ukraine.

Original thread:
I thought Mr. Cool ICE's post was a bit thin-skinned but I wouldn't call it back seat moderation. There's clearly very little moderation on this thread, else we wouldn't have had the three or four pages of back and forth scutter last week with posters trying to discredit others by misquoting and misrepresenting posts.
Russian media and talking heads and their extended zoo of useful idiots are crapping themselves as Telegram (after Durov done a deal with KGB) is widely used in Russia and especially within the armed forces
Somewhere in France about now
That's the way I see it too. But you never know. If Uncle Vlad promises him safe harbour in Moscow in the event that things go south, maybe it's a dice the fat f**k would be willing to take… send in the tanks - if it works, I look strong and tough and have Uncle Vlad's favour for years to come… if it backfires - Uncle Vlad will have me and my truckloads of cash and gold safely over the border in the blink of an eye.
The dream of course is that this war turns decisively in Ukraine's favour, taking Luka out and bringing Belarus back from the dark ages in exchange for sending Russia there.
The worst part is that most of these launch platforms could have been taken out
"As expected, Russia "congratulated" the people of Ukraine on Independence Day, launching a massive missile attack on energy infrastructure facilities. In response, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a military airfield in Engels, but several drones hit residential buildings in Saratov and Engels."
Ain’t back seat moderation against the rules?
And still up in the air which side is going to regret their strategy:
I belittled the content of the post, not the poster, two very different things, because the content was obvious nonsense. Posting wild rumours from people known to make up stuff contributes less than nothing and wastes time and deserves to be called out. Stick to reliable sources, it's a simple task.
The post of yours I quoted served absolutely no purpose other than to belittle the contributions of others while contributing nothing yourself. That seems to have gone over your head completely. I never said you don't actually otherwise contribute to the thread.
Another massive air attack in Ukraine this morning, at least 3 dead
Days since being reminded that Russia is an epic burning dumpster populated by neo Nazis , 0
Save your thoughts and prayers for people who will die today, the largest missile and drone attack (launched by ordinary Russians) this year so far ongoing last 6 hours
Missed the post on the Russian pianist then? Or just ignored it because contradicts your narrative?
It's a Colt. If there is any fixed wing aircraft which can carry passengers in which everyone can walk away after landing in a forest, that is the aircraft which can do it.
Poland should move some of their forces to the Belarus border for "Exercises".
If Luka ordered his troops across and could maintain power, then he would have done it long before now. Putin could always use more foreign cannon fodder in order to make his domestic casualty numbers look better.
Don't mix up the police force with the army. As far as I know the security structures are still very much in place. What is needed is for the army to turn on a Luka or the police force but as with Russia they're higher up the pecking order at generally better compensated by maintaining the status quo.
I think Putin knows Luka won't actually order his troops to cross into Ukraine, I think this is all he can do. Order his troops to the border on the hope that Ukraine pulls troops from Kursk to defend.
I don't think Luka has an iron grip on the population or army as Putin does, so he could be signing his death warrant were he to order his troops across the border.
Well we know what happened when Russia said they were conducting 'exercises' on the Ukranian border, but going on previous commentary on this thread from more knowlegable posters than myself, it seems a move like this would be suicidal for Lukashenko. I am completely ignorant on Belarus, except I know a majority of the population would rather Lukashenko had an 'accident' himself, and when there looked like there might be a chance to remove him during that period of massive protests, Luka's puppet-master in Moscow sent in the heavies to 'restore order'
Given the above, and given Putin can't exactly spare troops to help his puppet out at the moment, surely the chance of Belarus actually making a move must be minimal…
If he does it the gloves come off for intervention from other countries directly.
Not a surprise really Musk is truly one of the most repulsive individuals on the planet IMHO.
Another journalist murdered by Russia in Ukraine, another war crime:

I suppose the mud season is fast approaching so that should slow them down.
It's very serious in Donbas for Ukraine, it's very serious in Russia for Russia.
Bit surreal
Potato King is at it again
Looks like dumb and dumbers van!
It's very worrying the rate at which Russia is taking towns and villages in the Donbass. Avdiivka was an absolute fortress and put up a serious fight but since it fell Ukraine can't stop the advance. It's possible it's a trap but time will tell. Chasiv Yar and Toretsk will be telling if they can hold. Same with vuhledar which is starting to get flanked slightly.
Is Lukashenko about to do something monumentally stupid??
If Monthy Python were still around they would have a field day with this kind of stuff.
