Must be some release of carbon all these oil refineries going up in smoke, its enjoyable yet a catastrophe
Surprised, I thought they'd head towards Belgorod,
it’s ok, I cut 3 boxes less of turf this year so it’ll even up.
Yeah, on top of the obvious human tragedy, war is an absolute ecological catastrophe, it's grim
I think that's probably the plan. Keep the fcukers guessing where they'll pop over the border next. Force Russia to defend everywhere and nowhere.
Mod
@thatsdaft drop whatever this thing is with @rogber and move on please
This is your only warning
Poor Luka might be about to have more border to defend 🤣
The obvious benefit to breaching another area on the border is to stretch the Russians further.
There could be other ramifications though. The reports of Ukrainian activity in Bryansk are immediately adjacent to the border with Belarus. It could serve as a deterrent to Luka in the event the massing of his military along the Ukrainian border was more than a bluff. The city of Gomel has half a million people. Belarus’s border with Russia at that location could be a weak point he didn’t anticipate. He could risk being outflanked and being trapped between the fortifications in Ukraine & the rear. I’m not completely convinced Luka would ever launch himself into the conflict directly even though he is under Putin’s thumb. It’s definitely an interesting strategic location for Ukraine to choose in any event.
I'd be reasonably confident that if Belarus was destabilised or forced into the war by Putin, Luka would end up the way of Ceausescu. And he knows this himself. His grasp on power is most definitely slipping.
Lol
No more than if they were working properly and producing combustible fuel.
Could be another incursion with the objective of disrupting major transport routes. If it proves to be real (and sustained) that'd put the Ukrainians within "fire control" distance of the road from Ghomel to Bryansk, meaning Luka would have to send his tanks and troops way up north, the long way round. The longer any of them spend on the road, the easier it would be for Ukraine to figure out where they're headed and have a plague of demon drones waiting for them. Kinda like they did with the pontoon bridge builders.
Well, the oil would have been burned in engines anyhow.
Ya it's gonna be a long expensive cleanup operation in years to come. And obviously somethings can/will never be put right.
I watched a great episode of fíorsceál on tg4 before about the ticking time bomb that is the many many slowly rusting ww2 shipwrecks at the bottom of the oceans and seas of the world.
Lots of oil and worse precariously sealed away from nature.
it wasn't not covering all Baltic states, just Lithuania and southern part of Latvia
These two pictures are two days apart
puff face is jovial Putin… known for interacting with crowds, shaking everyone's hands with minimal security…
Russians claiming it's over and Ukrainians have moved back to original positions.
Have come to the conclusion only time one may be fairly certain it is Putin in the flesh in photos/video is the public stuff with other leaders.
He can hardly send a double to petition Xi for more Chinese help, hug Modi, or ask Kim to sell him NK weapons.
The one on the left is nicknamed 'bollock-cheeks'.
So they've crossed the border and are advancing meeting little resistance, good news.
Back in the Kherson days when Ukraine pushed south, they did so at Dudchany and Mylove using the river to protect their flank. Maybe this time they will use Belarus to protect their left flank. There will be a lot of pressure on Luka from Putin to attack the UAF from that side. But would he?
Isn't Belgorod no near to where Russia is attacking Kharkiv so probably heavy Russian presence nearby. Speaking of I've heard very little of Vovchansk the last few days.
That means it's definitely going well for Ukraine 😁
A quick sortie across another part of Russia's border will have them guessing where Ukraine are going to come at them next.
Moscow
And isn't that what they are doing presently? Getting a taste of their own medicine? But whatever pressure is building up to make changes, hasn't reached a critical point yet,
Hodges take
More bloody noxious emissions!!! 👀
I think we all know who was telling the truth about this now and the topic can be dropped. Hopefully a lie that won't be repeated again
Good overview of the bridge and supply situation in and around Kursk:
