You know that's classic narcissistic personality disorder behaviour?

Accusing other people of doing the exact thing they know they're guilty of; so the attention falls on the other person, so they have to defend themselves whilst avoiding having to deal with any criticism of the things they've done.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Good response. I'd say Trump is currently sitting on the toilet typing as fast as his little thumbs will allow.

ABC should release a statement saying the debate hasn't been cancelled and is going ahead.

Rittenhouse is back in the Trump camp after… reasons.

"By Friday afternoon, Rittenhouse had gone back on X and wrote that he was “100% behind Donald Trump and [would] encourage every gun owner to join me in helping send him back to the White House”.

I guess he had to say "hey, I'm still here, pay attention to me!"

Hopefully he lost a few supporters by this stunt.

What a weird place the GOP is in where a 21 year old who murdered two people becomes an election influencer and where some people care what a killer say about the very weird very old man running to be president

Is the agreement between the contenders campaign managers and ABC merely a gentlemen's agreement or an arrangement involving a contract of some sort?

I'm assuming Trump will insist the debate agreement was solely between him and Biden and no one else, leaving him with an iron-clad excuse not to turn up on the night, his preference being to debate with a weakened older white man and not a person of the opposite gender and colour with a professional career record of successfully arguing against crooks.

Uhh… wasn't that just music added to the video, not what was played at the Nuremberg rally?

    Now that you've said that..

The song is "American Bad Ass", the song Kid Rock sings at the rallies. Probably a toned down version, but that's the actual song.

Lovely ditty /s. I don't think that video is showing what was played at that particular rally, but its good to know what stirs the MAGAts…. or not.

As someone who used to watch wrestling way back when, that song was Undertaker's entrance music. There's an edited version of the song they use where it goes "You can roll with rock or you can RADIO EDIT". Also just has other swear words muted.

If they do play the song at Trump rallies (and they might since Kid Rock is a big Trump guy), they probably use the edited version. Still though, it's funny to think of all the geriatric mega-Christians there listening to that.

    Two things.

    1) trump previously claimed that the positive economic news was happening because his imminent reelection was causing optimism in the market. If so, why would this be happening?

    And

    2) imagine rooting for something awful to happen to the country so that you can exploit that awful experience for your fellow countrymen and women for your own political gain. This proves he doesn't give one **** for anyone but himself

Politics as usual, á la Trump at his Georgia rally. On Thursday, the largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War occurred in Ankara, involving Russia and Western countries. The exchange operation included 24 individuals who were in prisons in the USA, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Russia, and Belarus, as well as two children. As reported by Turkish authorities, 10 people, including two minors, were relocated to Russia, 13 to Germany, and three to the USA.

Donald Trump, in his typical style, commented on the prisoner exchange between Russia and Western countries. "I’d like to congratulate Vladimir Putin for having made yet another great deal," said the candidate for President of the USA.

Did you see the deal we made?" Trump asked during his campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia.

There's an expression from the early 70's which suits Trump and it's "tucking tunt".

    And

"For 8 chargers... They spent... 9 billion dollars"

The close bond between Elon Musk and Trump is far too understated . . We have to acknowledge that they come together as one unholy alliance. Musk is gonna be Trump's real VP.

The mad thing is, Trump honestly sees nothing wrong with this at all. To him, everything IS transactional.

And a lot of followers believe him and believe that as well.

According to what he said in an interview with Fox News, Neil Gorsuch is annoyed with Biden after the president recently laid out extreme reforms to the nation's highest court. Last week, Biden called for sweeping reforms to the Supreme Court , including term limits, a binding code of conduct for its nine justices and a constitutional amendment that would limit presidential immunity.

In an interview with Fox News , Gorsuch requested the president exercise caution in how he goes forward, BECAUSE THE JUDICIARY IS MEANT TO BE AN INDEPENDENT CHECK ON BIDEN'S OFFICE. 'It's there for the moments when the spotlight's on you, when the government's coming after you. And don't you want a ferociously independent judge and a jury of your peers to make those decisions? Isn't that your right as an American?' Gorsuch asked. The Donald Trump-appointed justice then added: 'And so I just say, be careful.'

Gorsuch told FOX News Channel’s FOX News Sunday that he worries Americans don't appreciate what the court represents. 'I´m not saying that there aren't ways to improve what we have. I´m simply saying that we´ve been given something very special. It´s the envy of the world, the United States judiciary,' he said.

I wonder what Neil's approach to her will be if Kamala is elected to the presidency, let alone how his statement will be reflected by what he does if Trump were re-elected and starts putting the plan he disavowed into effect. Most of the above wording is contained in an MSN report on the Gorsuch Fox interview [one line of which I've highlighted in capital letters].

MEANT is doing an awful lot of work there.

The fact is, it isn't independent as it should be, as the corruption and refusing to recuse yourself from cases that involve your family are showing.

I don't see a problem with the 18 year limit. I can see issues with an enforceable ethics code though. Ethics vary, depending on what side of the coin you are.

If there was a new way to enforce ethics on a supreme court judge, it should involve a citizens assembly of 100 people.

"It´s the envy of the world, the United States judiciary"

It always continues to amaze me how people in the US truly believe that the rest of the world looks on at them in awe of all their "democracy" and "freedom" that we all don't have.

They genuinely have no ability to reflect on how they are perceived , they genuinely believe that they are the best at everything and are functionally incapable of any kind of true introspection.

I'd suggest that very few other countries look at the American judicial system with anything approaching "envy"

Incredulity maybe , Envy, not so much.
