There's always other plans and methods to the madness. With a lorry there's a bed in the back and being the army they have to be ultra compliant of the rules of the road. It's getting experience for the drivers and co drivers and most likely they all then were able to go into Ukraine proper and see with their own eyes some of the situation on the ground. We don't know what the back loads were from eastern europe either.
I had a kei pick up truck that was imported from Japan to the midlands of Ireland then to the southeast of Ireland. Picked up by a Welsh farmer with his own pick up and trailer. Then he drove a donated 4wd with a donated flat bed trailer with the truck on top of trailer over to Ukraine and visited some of Ukraine and then flew back from Poland.
They’re fair points. It’s not a commercial operation after all. That was just my initial reaction to it 🙂

As the Russians have demonstrated countless times since Feb '22, if you don't have good logistics training, your foot-soldiers and mechanised units can find themselves in a whole lot of trouble.
This is the kind of thing that should be keeping Putin awake at night: he has given everyone on the not-Russia side of the fence - including "neutral" countries like Ireland - the chance to test and improve numerous aspects of their own military operations in a real-world, real-war situation.
Supposedly another two Patriot launchers and radar were hit. This is from Russia directly so grain of salt needed may have been decoys too. I didn't look into it enough to see what region they hit decoys/patriots.

Although it can happen that a single truck would be carrying just 2 Jeeps like this, it's very unlikely in a case like this. I'm pretty sure that there were a damn sight more than 2 jeeps loaded on it. The 2 jeeps or 4 x 4's etc would weigh less than 4'000 Kgs in total and would in turn be loaded also most likely with service parts and spares. Tractor weight =8'500 Kgs. Tri-Axle trailer =7'500 Kgs. Totaling 16'000 Kgs, allowed gross weight (veh + Cargo) on EU roads is 44'000 Kgs, so that would leave 20'000 Kgs free cargo space. For sure, those 20'000 Kgs were loaded, especially with Ukraine as the destination. Matter of fact, the nearer to Ukraine, the heavier it would become….This would be normal.
The list of 'stuff' Russia has claimed destroyed at this stage must be something like
1,000,000 aircraft
2,000,000 Tanks, APCs
3,000,000 NATO boyos
5,000,000 Nasty Nazis.
They will soon claim to have destroyed 10,000,000 Plutoiums from out of space, it is only a matter of time.

After he invaded in Feb 2022, thousands and thousands protested in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and Putin used both the military and police to attack them, round them up and imprison them. Even at that, they continued to protest, until Putin's thugs eventually forced them to stop. Never forget when Russia is mentioned in a conversation, you are speaking about a police state, a gigantic open-air prison.

Helicopters are complicated pieces of machinery to keep going. Anyway a Robinson R44II went missing and the emergency beacons were activated on July 19th during it's flight in the Altai region. It was an unregistered flight at the time and on board were the pilot and three FSB agents.
Today the 21st a Mi - 8 helicopter with rescuers, paramedics and law enforcement will start the search for the aircraft and likely crash site.

Arm them with what exactly? Certainly not any of the decrepit Soviet armor that they’re frantically renovating for Ukraine. Some old AKs then? Maybe, but do the Russians even have enough logistics left to do this in a meaningful way. Most likely they’ll help Iran a little, who apparently have some stake in the Yemen conflict.
But ever since the complete rout of Nagorno Karabakh, I’d be reluctant to take any claim of Russia “arming” anyone seriously.

Either capable of supplying their sole ( ?) refinery,
One up from the adriatic ,and the other from russia, via ukraine ,
They also produce crude oil ,aprox half of the countries crude needs,

Might be better that Trump has a different challenger for election so maybe not such good news for putin. If I was a voter in the USA I'd vote for a potato ahead of voting for Trump. Vance as Trump's vice president also ties him to the isolationist branch of the republican party so if the Democrat candidate is any way in the political centre they could get a good number of traditionally republican voters as well as a big turn out of normally non voters, focused simply on stopping Trump and Vance with their severely right wing policies.
