The media and fandom are increadibly arrogant in general. Remember "would any all blacks make irelands team"
South africas view of us is off the ball calling them amongst other things drug cheats i can understand their frustration
I'm sure that sounds pithy to you, but it doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.
So I posted a comment saying it was funny to watch and you claim I am put out
😂
Really you need to try harder on that one
Which pet player this week do you want into the team? 😂
Now that was someone "pretty put out"
Internet and boards is for enjoyment a chara
Mod: Attack the post, not the poster.
You seem pretty put out
Most people in the World that watch's rugby could have picked that team, it's not a big surprise.
Who is put out?
He made a clown of himself during the Lions tour and if he loses the first game then expect a similar reaction
Where you all seem not at all put out by some silly interviews and a team selection 😂
Are you describing rassie or irish rugby?
He has a bee in his bonnet about Ireland and beating his teams. Look at all the media his players have done, all with little stories about Ireland, none of them anyway relevant. Like Eben made up story about the players comments after the game 🤣
If he loses the first test expect Rassie and his fake accounts to pop up again against the ref's and everyone else to try twist an advantage for SA, losing two games at home
His head will explode
It's funny to watch…..
At least Rassie isn't opening up referees to death threats this time around.
Small mercies I suppose.
No ones 'having a go'. Rassies putting up an Irish team sheet to stir the pot and get a response, and he's getting one. Rassies a huge a fan of antics and gas lighting, clearly its going to get people talking.
really excited about this. The lads have quite a bit to prove
Ouch......…very very good.
and he has a 100% World Cup win rate.all he has done is put up what he thinks will be the Irish team.lets see if can win when it actually matters!
we have a 100% win rate over Erasmus’ teams, I personally find it hilarious how crazy that drives him.
I don’t think it’s good for the game for a coach to be making everything so personal and bitter, but his weird mix of outward arrogance undermined by deep insecurity really seems to resonate with South Africans, which is interesting.
**** me rassie is in ur head.he can’t even put up a team selection without u bunch having a go.
No. It is only ever about Rassie and his ego. Despite all his success, he is deeply insecure.
Rassie, as always, wants people to wonder what Rassie is up to. So..... ✅
It sold out in record time already
is Rassie trying to boost ticket sales.
Caps and weight.
Whats the point here? he is going to say they have less caps or something?
I seen a video interview nad he was going on about Ireland winning v SA but he wasn't saying Ireland would be favourites
Farrell should do his usual and just ignore this nonsense
The whole "oh Zebo called me after and that's not what I said" was rubbish as well
Let the Rassie antics begin!
Seems a regular thing to do, Lancaster done it around NZ before joining Leinster. Flannary did it around NZ as well and I think Aus a few years back etc
Edit: not sure if allowed.
Pop your phone on flight mode and turn off WiFi and you can read the articles.. allegedly...
don't think you get access to the comments... but not a bad thing.
Thanks for the summary - saw the article on the42 but couldn't get past the pay wall. Interesting stuff.
Murray Kinsella has a pretty cool piece today about how a Japanese rugby coach, Atsushi Tanabe, the attack coach of the Kubota Spears, spent a couple of weeks here to enhance his coaching skills etc. Bernard Jackman facilitated/set it up, and during his time here he spent some time with: Paul O'Connell, Jacques Nienaber, Andrew Goodman, Mike Prendergast, Simon Broughton (Leinster Academy manager), Mark Sexton (Connacht Attack coach), Alan Kingsley (Argentina kicking coach) and Andy Skehan (St Michael's College head coach).
His interesting takeaway, and comparison to Japan, was how Ireland really have developed its own style and systems, by comparison to Japan, which he feels is still extremely NZ/Aus influenced.
he has played before this season and had the EI tour
7 full 80 min games plus a super rugby season including a final
Izuchukwu had a run of minutes v scarlets, munster & leinster, outside of that v little
Well & good if he's ripping it up in training but don't see the club form to justify a start v SA imo
He had more mins for connacht and 2 or 3 super rugby seasons behind him
