So true😂
Busy night
Yeah - accusations of “bribe taking” is classic FSB playbook - these guys will be found laying flat at the bottom of a tall building any day now. Putin knows how power works in Russia and what he needs to do to hold on to it - his days are numbered - “killing off” his opposition is his simple way of extending the day of his demise, keeping the chances of a coup or asasinatron even, small.
But I reckon his age and potential paranoia may start to take over now- there's definately people plotting his demise or at least planning the next leader
Dictator consolidation of power move. Getting more like NK with every passing day and that's not a good thing.
The whole Putin family will be in the Hague yet!
Putin is apparently sacking four deputy defence minsters, and replacing them with his cousins.
Interesting move, to say the least
They know time isn’t on Russia side.
The penny is starting to drop.
The desperation is really starting to show now….. soon it will be. Well, you see we were on military manoeuvres, and we accidently took a wrong turn, and unexpectedly found ourselves in Ukraine. It was an honest mistake, really!
True. It can even be harsh looking at them from one's own home many miles away from Ukraine.
It happens in all wars. Hand to hand combat very personal. Reminds me of an interview with a US soldier who fought in WW2. He was asked did he kill anyone or see who he killed. He replied that he only remembered one for certain. It was a German soldier with a white flag who came out of his foxhole but as he came closer he believed he saw he had a grenade in one of his hands so he shot him.
Both sides are at that in considerate numbers. I do wonder down the line will a lot of these drone operators who are operating the drones with the 1st vision helmets/goggles have PTSD as you are literally flying these drones up to the enemy and are literally seeing the last moments of this person alive before your drone detonated. You are literally seeing the person die. If your shooting at someone you might hit someone but are not seeing the last moments of their face etc. Also I can imagine both sides when this is all over that both sides soldiers will flinch when they hear or see a drone.
A guess all those Russian tanks were heading for a parade in Kiev and it was cancelled?
The propaganda tune is changing!🙄
Poo Tin!
This is mad stuff
Or to put it more bluntly, it's Kremlin Crap!
whatever level of corruption exists in Ukraine it CERTAINTLY did not ‘ pick it up off the ground’. So if that is the case , I wonder who was its mentor??????????
You seem kind of angry about what is going on in Gaza and Palestine more generally at the moment and I agree with you.
Would it be offensive to come out with a silly + reductive metaphor like Hamas went out and tugged the Israeli tiger's tail (or lit the tiger's tail on fire) to describe the situation I wonder? It would be IMO.
Ukraine has done nothing at all to Russia yet has been the subject of constant attacks and assults of different kinds from Russia since 2014 culminating in the invasion in 2022, and all people like you do is "both sides" it all and come out with rubbish like Ukraine poked the bear/"stuck it's arm into the tiger's cage"!
Russian criticism of Ukraine's corruption is utterly laughable, given that half of their military equipment has been nicked.
Whatever it was, it certainty went out with the proverbial BANG!!
»I'm not defending Russia
You are, you are parroting Russian propaganda under the guise of "just asking questions"
» The drive to move NATO east seems to have been a bad idea.
Let's take this example. NATO is a defensive organisation, which countries are free to apply to join. Sweden and Finland have recently joined because they fear hostile maneuvers from an increasingly aggressive Russia, fears which the events of 2014 and February 2022 have shown are very tangible.
Putin cannot dispute this. Therefore he spins it on it's head, projecting a narrative that Russia is "being surrounded" by this defensive alliance. No one, absolutely no one wants to invade nuclear armed Russia.
Yet here you are dropping these red flags into your posts left, right and center. It's an act we've seen in this thread many, many times.
Next up is the concern trolling about corruption in Ukraine, then more "both sides" false equivalence attempting to put the actions of the defenders on the same level as the invaders, then more tenuous insinuations that the US/West/Europe are to partially or fully to blame for Putin's decision to invade a country that is absolutely no threat to Russia..
And so on and so on.
Indeed, it is time consuming.
Any reports yet on what caused this?
Sabotage, or could it be a missile or something… it would be >100km from the Ukrainian border I'd imagine
hehe
Thanks. That says it all about your view really. Pathetically victim blaming a nation for having the temerity to defend its sovereign rights (Donbas) and to chose which democracy (the EU) over autocracy (you guessed it).
It really - REALLY - is no more complicated than that. At least the Chinese can mount a semi-credible argument (which I reject) in relation to Taiwan… Putin's excuse is simply "I want it".
Maybe it's Vlad, who thought himself a tiger but is actually the circus master, about to get his arm torn off?
The Tiger in this case being Ukraine!
Very true statement on the results of what Putin has done to Russia, it's hard to see how it can survive in its present form..
You are unable to see the forest on account of the trees,,, Putin illegally invaded the internationally recognised sovereign state of Ukraine. He did this to supposedly protect ethnic Russians from attacks by Ukrainians. These people had lived peacefully together even long independence, and would be still living peacefully together, had Putin not sent in his unmarked military with orders to attack the Ethnic Russians (as well as Ukrainians) and start a war. He then invaded on the pretext of "protecting" the ethnic Russian's. He did the same thing in Georgia.
so it's all Ukraines fault, right?! And from just questioning, to twice promissing to leave this thread, to full Kisilev/Solovyov parroting…you really can't help yourself, can you?
Russia stuck a lot more than their arm into the Ukrainian tiger nest
Terrible analogy btw
So here's the basics, if you give parts of Ukraine to Russia then that will mean that they are free to restart invasions in the future cause they know there's no consequences. Any occupied territories will be subjected to genocide. The only real peace is Russia leaving the region and engaging in reparations, including war crime trials tbh. You seem to be trying to paint the two countries as bad as each other, Russia are the invader.... There was no justification for the invasion or the crimes that followed as a result.
