nearly half the spoiled ballot papers in ireland south were completely blank (unspoiled votes, you might say) according to a tweet i saw; about 1% of the ballot papers there. what are the bets they were people who went to vote, saw the length of the ballot paper and thought '**** this' and left without actually voting?
It would depend on how many he needed to reach the quota. I think Eddie Punch is the key. A strong transfer to FF and FG canditates will benefit Ni Mhurchu as it leave more of Mullins vote for her. But transfers from SD, Labour and Green voters as they are eliminated will help her as well

Just an fyi, there was never any peace agreement in the pipeline. Russia invaded Ukraine, have committed genocide and you're attempting to portray the West as the villain in that scenario. Genocide happens when other countries allow it to happen. Do you think Russia would stop their genocide if they were allowed take full control of Ukraine. Would be interesting to know how it would compare to 2019. There are probably a lot of people who are only interested in voting for Local and not interested in voting for European. So regardless of the length, some were always going to have been left blank.
Or is it possible when you go to vote that you can take a Local ballot paper only?
I thought that as well, only interested in locals, but if you were given a Euro ballot also, would there not be someone you'd give a #1 to at least while you were there? That's a lot of people put off by the length \ unimpressed with Euro candidates. Hmm.

I was greatly pleased to see Daly shown the door and hopefully Moscow Mick is to follow in short order. Can't fathom how 50K voters gave him a first pref - must have just looked down the paper and recognised the mop of hair. In his case it's not 'name recognition' but 'mane recognition'! Can't be for anything he actually did useful as an MEP.
