There are awful politicians like Wallace and Daly everywhere.
Today Zelensky is speaking in the German parliament and predictably enough the event was boycotted by the AFD but also a loathsome snake of a politician called Sahra Wagenknecht, formerly of the Left party but now with her own party. Always the hard left and hard right reveal that they have much more in common with each other than with any centrist parties, their arguments may be different but their logic is the same: any enemy of the centre and enemy of democracy is a friend of mine.
Both Wagenknecht and AFD accused Zelensky of being a warmonger and a beggar and said what Ukraine needs is new leadership interested in peace.
Putin and Russia are not the problem, of course not.
Go figure.
I can sleep in peace tonight. Hope we can get rid of Ming the Merciless and the goon Wallace as well.

Funny little fact, in Sachsen the AfD has officially been classified as officially right-wing extremists. They also got the majority of the votes there.

Sahra Wagenknecht has popped up negatively in German news in recent times for being a little bit of a turncoat. As you say, she went from being a leftie opportunist spoofer in the successor party of the East German government to a hard-right chancer on the back of the success of AfD and bagging 6% of the vote with her indulgently-named Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) - The Sahra Wagenknecht Aliance.
i've never taken the bother to look her up, but I'm just seeing now that she's married to Oskar Lafontaine. I recall an interview with ex-Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, a party colleague, where he said of Lafontaine that he would need a long time to think before giving a diplomatic opinion of him. When asked a second time to give a diplomatic answer, Helmut Schmidt succinctly refused.
I also see that she is half-Iranian, interestingly enough.
Nevertheless, with her SED and PDS (Communist) background and heritage she is without doubt yet another Vatnik asset.
The problems in Germany funnily enough are partly due to Russians too

As of the current count Wallace appears to have decent shot of just about holding onto his seat. Unless vote transfers suddenly jump one of the others up to 5th Place he'll likely retain his seat.
At least he looks / acts like a clown. Easier for us to go to our European cousins and say: "Listen, this pro-Russia circus-act got voted in, but he's clearly not the best of us."
Nobody knows for sure. There are 5 of them fighting for 3 seats. On the balance of probability McNamara will probably get 1 of those and O'Sulliven probably won't. So then it's 3 fighting for 2 seats and Wallace is one of those 3.

But I thought that Germany had cut Russian gas / oil imports after Putin invaded Ukraine?

It was other way around, Putin cut gas to Germany (and blew up north stream) until that point Germany dragged feet on helping Ukrainians

There are still consumers of Russian criminal gas in Hungary and Austria and onto Balkans but that’s about 3-4% of overall European gas imports, funnily enough these countries also have most expensive gas now

The big question is whether that Patriot from the Netherlands just encompasses the radar and three launchers, or whether they've included a command post vehicle and a generator as well. If they're included, that would basically be another full battery, especially if you take into consideration the two launchers provided by the Netherlands earlier. If it's just the launchers and the radar, then that would be less useful, although it would provide some redundancy in case any of the existing batteries take another hit.
