Sure, they are! Putin's $1,5 billion investment in propaganda at work! The web is saturated with pro-Russian, anti-west, Ukraine, US, UK etc. They are massively trying to influence the whole world in different ways, sowing discord, creating splits etc.
They are just to provide Balance…most of these comments are coming from the one source Russian bot farm.
Not good
….
Zelensky begging for more air defence equipment over 2 years since the war started is ridiculous. Pathetic from the west.

There'll be a film series made yet of how Putin becoming leader of Russia meant the third Reich lived and thrived in the cuckoos nest.
The man was a handler ffs for a neo nazi leader in western germany. He probably coached the lad on how to be more Nazi. It's too kind to say Putin is obsessed with history. The man is obsessed with Nazism and how to cleverly fool the people of Russia into becoming Nazi with their own subtle twists.
Like everything else it will arrive too late. The west is too busy selling their air defenses systems to oil rich dictators. Next winter, when the Ukrainians are freezing to death the west will start to take action...
Zelensky isn't "begging" he's asking for assistance on behalf of his country. Ukraine has gotten a lot of air defence in fairness and more is coming. Western democracies are slow to mobilize but that's a small price to pay than the alternative of autocratic regimes like Russia who can invade on a whim.
Your anti Western and anti Ukrainian rhetoric is gone stale and transparent
I wonder, realistically how many systems Ukraine would need to defend itself. I think people forget just how big Ukraine actually is.
Its size is even more of a problem since putin's terrorists seem very happy to specifically go after civilian targets. They seem to be trying to use genocide and indiscriminate attacks to force mass migration and an EU with huge numbers of refugees to compensate for their military being so inadequate in achieving putin's twisted agenda. It is sad to see such growth in anti refugee political rhetoric from politicians in the EU as a result.
Anyone who wrongspeaks in here is a Russian.
Boards is that important you see.
They'd need a lot less if the US gave Ukraine the capability to go after targets deep in Russia
We've given very little in terms of air defense, as the west has little to give. We configured our miltary on the (reasonable) basis that since NATO has a pretty good air force, the only need for air defense units on the ground would be to backstop the airplanes and give a little additional protection to point targets. Thus few were maintained. One battery here or one launcher there is pretty limited when you look at how many systems an equivalent Russian unit is supposed to have given they never assumed Frontal Aviation would shoot most Nato stuff down. It's another example of systems being taken out of their original context. (The M1 tank is currently suffering from this as well)
Are you suggesting the US should give Ukraine long range cruise missiles to take out Russian air base thousands of miles into Russia?
That's the only way you prevent the bombers taking off in the first place.
I am definitely suggesting that. Give them anything they need.
Definitely. But seems people are afraid of Putin.
Pathetic.
How far do you propose they go, give them a few nukes?
Everything but.
Yes, exactly this
If they'd left them with just 1 nuke (plus codes), they probably wouldn't be in this mess. Instead they signed a treaty in December 1994 and largely ignored the plight of the Ukraine since. Now is the time to rectify that and hand over a few long range missiles to hit key military positions deep in Russia.
Remember Maria Andreeva a member of the Way Home movement. The wives organisation calling for the return of their husbands from war.
Putin's government have labelled her a foreign agent. The government are doing this to opposition groups and anyone that knows too much calling them foreign agents. Foreign agents are then imprisoned.
They also can and are taking kids away from anyone protesting, next is probably send them to gulag or mental hospitals like the Soviets did
Putin’s regime is doing its best to out do the Nazis 1.0
Owners of surveillance cameras in Moscow are being obliged to connect them to the state's surveillance network. People say the state will be able to use facial recognition technology on the footage from private surveillance cameras. Reason given for the demand is the war in Ukraine.
Possible UAF counter offensive in Kharkiv
It's too kind to say Putin is obsessed with history.
And yet he actually knows so little of it.
What concerns me is that Russia is saying nothing about this. They constantly bang on about artillery shell production, with the implication that in a war between Russia and NATO Russia would massively outproduce NATO in terms of basic unguided artillery shells and that therefore, despite limited progress to date in Ukriane with such an advantage, they would defeat NATO somehow. To a certain extent, I suspect that they would be happy to see NATO countries pour unnecessary resources and effort into such production.
However, their silence on NATO air defences, something which they had been very vocal about before the Ukraine war, is very suspicious. The last thing they want to do is make it a political imperative to increase SAM production.
Patriot PAC 3 production was scaling up before the war and has continued to do so. PAC 2 production is also heavily backlogged although increasing. They have sucessfully surged Nasams, but it is unclear if long term production capacity was increased. There was even talk of restarting the production of stinger missiles.
I would hope to see increased production on a meaningful scale, and this may mean reducing quality in favour of quantity. There must be a sweet spot between overengineered US cutting edge tech and cheap and inaccurate Russian production, particularly in the form of front line air defences that arent so expensive they cant be risked.p
The more questionable media latched onto wild figures of Russian ammo production but when anyone digs into them it boils down to a mix of 1. “Russia says” and 2. All types of artillery including plain mortars being added and compared to just the very public 155 figures allies release
Anyways speaking of figures UK intelligence is on same page as Ukrainians, half a million casualties!
Going by negativity on this thread a month ago one would have thought the collapse of Ukraine was imminent, loses in May amount to a rectangle of 10x20km
At that rate another 40 years for all of Donbass alone to fall
France, this is the way
