TCO and CO panels are usually every year. EO and above are approx. every 2 years.
probably a stupid question but will they make contact with the reference or is a headed and stamped reference of what they asked enough
I emailed Public Jobs earlier - Roscommon have called 39 people for interview, Westmeath have called 120 for interview. The last time I emailed them was 3 months ago and Westmeath had called 60 for interview at that stage so it seems to have picked up a lot in the last few months. Back in September they had only called 39 for interview for Westmeath so definitely there is demand there. Hoping to get called for interview before panel expires in June…
Is it correct to assume that they plan filling those vacancies given they are holding interviews within 3 months of the panel likely to expire.

Hi, I've been told I'm being considered for a role in Cork but that they wouldn't disclose my dept until the garda vetting goes through. I was cleared yesterday and the vetting was sent to PAS. How long will it take for PAS to get back to me about my placement?

Hi is it possible PAS go to the referees without notifying you first? I've just signed a contract and they never came to me asking for references.
When you provide your clearance docs and it states that they will contact your referees. "PAS will contact your referee(s) on your behalf in order to obtain a reference".
i got my results and on the panel - I got the expression of interest for the AGS - if I am intrested do I get ruled out of other CO jobs?
Hi I've been asked for a statement of employment for the last 12 months - is this different to a reference?
As far as I know you will be taken off the panel if you confirm interest in AGS. It should say it on your message

How long do these jobs normally take from applying for the job to interviewing to getting the job....
could take a year, depends on the number you got, ive just got on the panel now after applying for this last April….Its finished end of june - july time
