As I understand it, she was entitled to Bangladeshi citizenship through her parents but by not requesting it before the age of 18 she forfeited it.
The question I have about that is: if someone is born in, say China or Saudi Arabia or any of the many other countries that don’t give citizenship to anyone who happens to be born there, would Bangladesh still consider they had forfeited their Bangladeshi citizenship? That would leave the person stateless, which I thought was not normally allowed?
